Haha! (I'm going to resort to TvTropes speak here, but I can't help myself) A subversion with her backstory reveal! Oh that was a good one. A subversion is where you're about to use a trope but then you don't. In this case I think it might've been "Backstory of the Day" or "Troubled Backstory Flashback" trope but, personal musings aside, the chapter made me laugh. And I have to applaud you for actually making me laugh; usually people just make me smile in amusement, but you made me laugh. Seeing flickers of their relationship in this one, but they still have a long road ahead. She's a paranoid one ain't she? Doing a bait and switch with her bedroom... Well, I shall wait patiently for the next update. Good luck with everything! -praeses

Cute. They're already bickering. *grins* The lines Ace said made me laugh quite a bit. Especially the part with the plant, the pot for said plant, and the line about trust. Now, I think Ace carried a dagger. Not a gun. Unless he's getting the dagger later of course, but I thought I should point it out. And a cliffhanger... *sigh* I'm curious about how her name caused all the commotion in the village. It's an intriguing part of her character. Well, I wonder what sort of reaction she'll have when she realizes that Ace is part of Whitebeard's crew. I'm guessing shock as the primary emotion. -praeses
