Your story is amazing! Out of all the fanfics I've read, I never expected a Dr. Seuss fanfic to make my heart ache. You did an excellent job on describing Norma's and Once-ler's feelings. I love this! Please update soon because l cannot wait for the ending!

The rift is growing I see. That you're taking this story slow and steady is both a good and admirable thing, in my opinion. Whereas others might rush, you allow us to get to know these characters much more intimately, and that's such a great aid to the story - unless an entity/entities is/are mysterious in nature, the readers *should* know and sympathize (and/or empathize) with the characters. It's sad to see Once-ler and Norma slowly breaking away from one another, but the process is drawn with care to the point where I'm as enthralled with this story near its close as I was at its birth.
By all means, keep up the lovely work!

Another great chapter! As always... I'm actually really loving the character development you put into your story. The plot is important as well but I'm really enjoying the journey of their friendship rather than the big plot of the movie. I like getting to feel their relationship as friends really fleshed out like this. ]

I like this "chapter a week" thing, not gonna even lie lol. It's a nice way to end my week, too!
Aw, the fact that they're just starting to drift apart makes me sad. Obviously, I knew that they were going to go their separate ways from the very beginning, but damn. The fact that he's getting so head-over heels with his Thneed and the fact that Norma is holding back all her feelings and in a small state of denial is just heartbreaking.
You don't have to apologize for the slow-ness. I, for one, like the fact that you're deciding to focus on their friendship, and overall, their falling out with each other. I think that's what really sets this apart from all the other Normaler stories, actually. Most tend to focus on the lovey-dovey relationship aspect of them, and not too much on the actual friendship. I like it a lot. Also, I think 40 or so chapters seems about right :) Yay for long fanfics, and like always, I can't wait for the next chapter!

Wow, I feel so lazy for not reviewing like, the last two chapters :U Oh well, I guess I can review them here! Long post, ahoy!
I really enjoyed chapter 26, not gonna lie. For me, it added some more depth to their relationship, and the fact that both of them are finally, slowly but surely, starting to come around makes me want to get up and dance around the room. I think it's kind of endearing that Once-ler would end up spending hours over at Norma's, just waiting for her to finally come down. And, hooray, Bob made an appearance! There's something about him that I like, it's probably his personality lol. The hard-ass, yet wise, old-man.
I kind of feel like chapter 27 is more of a filler chapter than anything else. Nothing wrong with 'em, even though sometimes it makes the story feel a little slower than normal. It's nice seeing Ted and Audrey again, though. I like the fact that Ted has started to get an overall pessimistic view on Grammy Norma's story, if that even makes any sense at all lol.
Obviously, as a reader, we all know that Norma and The Once-ler are going to go their separate ways at some point, and honestly, I feel that we're almost at that point in the story, where Once-ler decides to go off in search of the material to make his Thneeds. Part of me dreads it, yet the other part of me is just wondering what exactly is going to happen between them , and if and how they'll meet again, and if the line from chapter seven (I think lol) where Grammy says something along the lines of if her story DIDN'T have a happy ending, she wouldn't have wound up with Ted's mother, foreshadows the possibility that Ted's mother is Once-ler's daughter. But, that's me being hopeful and tying my headcanon's into your story, whoops!
And last chapter 28, another filler chapter of sorts, but it DOES bring up the whole Thneed material hug at the end was cute, and I like the sort of hopelessness Once-ler is starting to feel about his Thneed. I really liked the foreshadowing of Once-ler seeing himself in green, hehe. One of the things I'm getting at, judging by Norma's ability to string words together that rhyme, is that she plays a major role in finishing the Thneed jingle that Once-ler has started. The part where Norma brings up the idea of just not going to college at all, and traveling around being a 'starving artist' of sorts, makes me think that she's going to become sort of a Jenny ala Forrest Gump-type drifter, just going from place to place, feeling lost, and trying to find who they are, but that's just me being hopeful again.
All-in-all, it's great to see updates again! Like I've said, this story is a favorite of mine, and I love how you're so determined to finish it :) Good work, as always and just so you know, I'm quite excited to read what you have in store for us!
