This is very interesting. I agree that this is a relationship which is too often ignored. This had funny moments but the past you've created for Mad-Eye was very sad and goes some way to explain his over cautious nature. I think it might've made more sense if you'd set it between the 6th and 7th books though, as Tonks and Remus weren't together between the 5th and 6th books, so Moody's final comment sounds a little strange. I really enjoyed reading this though :)
