Excelent chapter, sad to hear you're finished with the series, it was really awesome.

Elegant, brutal, masterful. You have one hell of a way with the word, my friend.

I honestly like the way you did it in the first two chapters with the bartender and how the heroes walk in, and tell their story. Seems more of a personal level, and gave me that feel of "AMG we're not just toons in the game, but heroes!".
I like the whole idea that you did though with changing to the perspective of the hero as they live through it, because, yes, as an author it gives you more to work with, but to me personally, it kinda takes away that "hero"/"personal-appeal" of the story, but it's still great none the less! :)
I love how you bring the raids to life, and talk about losing the friends that went in with them, it was awesome. And i'm thinking in the AQ story, the girl with amber/red eyes was the dragon in Chapter 2? I also liked how in Chapter 2, you had the bartender in SW call the bartender in Goldshire an old fart; love how you made them make fun of eachother and what not, lol.
Anyways, interesting story, and I hope you keep it up! :) It's definantly a great read.

Only jarring note I found was the speaker referring to him/herself as not being as good a spellcaster as Elsie and then talking about shield and sword further down, but it was a good, solid story. I'm not sure about chapter 8, it didn't work as well for me, but it seemed like an interesting experiment. Looking forward to more, getting some insight into the big raiding guilds - I'm one of the little folk, not a first-in raider, glad to get a hint/view of how the big teams do it - R. macDhai

This is a good one. I've got a soft spot for Blood Elves and you captured it well, the pure need to erase the betrayal Kael'thas brought to them. They call Illidan the Betrayer, but I come into WoW half a year before BC came out and I've always thought Kael was the bigger traitor.
These are really good stories. I wish the WoW magazine hadn't folded, these would have made wonderful monthly installments - R. macDhai

Enjoying the stories. Not real great at proofreading myself or I'd volunteer. You're doing a good job capturing the feel of the old raids and the crazy itch that keeps adventurers going back out to face those horrors. - R. macDhai

Its really interesting how you vary your writing style with each chapter. I did notice several spelling errors but nothing major. And as for who the narrator was there are several possibilities that I can think of. If were going by expansion then it is probably Sargeras or one of his ilk. However, your mention of the narrator being in the bodies and minds of azeroths inhabitants brings to mind the curse of flesh and the old gods. So perhaps it is yogg-saron or n'zoth. Then again I may be wrong on both accounts. Keep up the excellent job and know that this story is pretty dang awesome!

Beautifully haunting as usual. I love your idea - it's unlike one I've ever seen before. Please, keep it up. This is easily one of the best Warcraft fics I've ever read.
p.s. - sorry for useless praising, will give actual constructive critism when I'm more... awake.

Kinda hard to tell if you have deviated from the point of view in the first two chapters, it almost looks like this time it's less of the bartender's narration and more of the adventurer's actual story. Either way, I don't know how you come up with these ideas, I know they are off of actual raids in game but the way you expand upon them is insane, and the detail with which you describe the encounters (and the people involved in them) is awesome.
