So I'm saddened right now bc I want more. I want to know how he plans on getting to Kate without him knowing about the convo on the tape. That was an awesome idea btw. Also, I agree that Castle has lost touch with reading Beckett this year. She doesn't loathe him not that she ever did. And she is the one for me that has done the most transformation to be prepared for him and to be ready. Yes he's stopped his play boy act for her sake, but like the Atlantic City weekend with the boys. He can pick right up where he left off. Great job!

This is a very compelling story.
You said in the AN that you couldn't write Kate's voice in this but you did it remarkably well as part of her conversation with Lanie.
I think you nailed it at far as what Rick is feeling right now and how he would react.
Lanie and Espo are also very much in character.
I feel such heartache for Rick and Kate right now. This story made me feel it all over again. But there is a light at the end.
I saw on your profile that you are really busy but I hope you will consider adding at least one more chapter to this.

Excellent. Loved the idea of Castle finding reasons to go and get her back. Loved how you wrote Espo. And that you added Lanie. Conversations were in great voice. Well done. I know I should be encouraging study but the story begs for the scene where he seeks out Kate. And he has to be honest with her first I think.
