Oh! Shiloh better watch his mouth. I'm happy to see Ratigan starting to accept that he is a rat; it's a good obstacle for him to overcome and is really developing his character.

Aw, poor Ratigan. This chapter was really good, since it showed how vulnerable Isabelle can be and how incidents can happen out of the blue. This was an exciting and intense scene!

Haha. I love how Isabelle compares Ratigan's age to fine wine; gets better with age. It's a sweet way of showing age difference in a relationship isn't a negative factor, but a positive one.

Aw! Marie is so cute! Poor Isabelle. Ratigan is right, that even though having children isn't a priority to Isabelle...not being able to have the choice to have one is extremely saddening for a woman. This chapter was very heart-felt, sweet, and sad...so I give it a standing ovation!

Jack the Ripper...so frightening! Great job creating him in mouse form! This chapter is truely inspirational! Isabelle's reaction was superb, since in stories people don't really write about people vomitting from trauma (which does happen a lot) and this made the terrifying event even more real. Still shivering from this chapter. :)

O.O Epic! The fact that Doran made Isabelle so nervous made the villian even more disturbing; especially when he attacked her. Ratigan with the cane sword was awesome, as well as the dialogue; it was dark, suave, and frightening. A great chapter.

This scene was adorable. I enjoyed how they both promise each other they would get married one day instead of doing an engagement and everything. This way is much more romantic, and realistic. Two things that go extremely well together in this chapter.

Doran does seem to be the classic, suave villian. Doran lusting after Isabelle will make a lot conflict in the story. Can't wait to see some action!

The scars discussion was really deep. Literally. I enjoyed how each scar told a story about Ratigan's and Isabelle's lives in a subtle way. It gave great insight into the past, while making the bond they have much more intimate b/c they're learning about how many close-calls they had as criminals.
