I've never read a Criminal Minds story. I've never really followed the show, either. I'm glad to say that this was a great introduction. I wasn't lost at all, and even more importantly, it was incredibly well-written. I loved this.

So glad to see that your muse has been singing to you. As much as I love Milla, it's nice to "see a new face" so to speak. Thus far Becca is every bit as likeable as Mrs. Ortiz and far from a Mary Sue.
Once again, your references are so smoothly done. You don't beat your reader over the head with them. I love the mention of de Sade. Instead of saying that the unsub was a sexual sadist you reference him-brillant. Also, love the mental picture of Spencer and Becca having Star Trek&Monty Phython marathons. They're similiar to Juice&Milla, but not carbon copies. They do have that same sugary sweetness without being over the top or corny.
I also like that they're compliments. She's a somewhat aggressive people person. (I like that you showed us that through his perception of her "haggling") He's more introverted and internal. I think the thing that won me over about these two is how much she respects him. Hotch described Reid perfectly when he said "Reid uses his intelligence as a shield and his shield is in need of repair." He's very vulnerable and childlike, but Becca never seems to capitalize on that. She allows him to play to his strengths.
While this is sort of light, you manage to show us that Spencer and Becca's relationship isn't all sunshine. The way you took Reid's show background and used it to enrich your story was really smart&smooth. Again, nothing is ever forced. These two fight, but they communicate and work it out. Very healthy and real.

As usual you have me hooked and wanting more lol. I absolutely love Reid! He's my favorite on Criminal Minds and I think it would be great to see how this relationship develops. Just want you to know the other day in work we were discussing our favorite authors and when I said "my favorite author is MelanthiaChase, I get so caught up in her stories" no one knew what I was talking about. So I explained the world of Son's (as if anyone doesn't know about them) and told them to get on fanfic and check you out!
