I love your Carlton-funny and clueless and resigned, and Sophie is very appealing (whether or not Juliet claims her man in the end). The dialogue, inner and outer, is great.

So very very amusing. You have a deft hand for dialogue, witty and otherwise.
The scene-setting, including weinenschpritzer, is delightful and I am SO willing to get Carlton home if Sophie's not up for the job (though I know what she's doing-she's having a calmative because the sight of our man in a tux made her hormones go nuts.

I'm really enjoying this story, please keep it coming. One small note: "I think it's more Poirot than Christie." I think maybe you mean Miss Marple. Christie was the author who created Poirot and Marple so it's a little odd to think of something being more fictional detective than real detective author. ;)

Carlton is cute. LOL! How can he not see that women want him? Sheesh he has low self esteem. I loved the nude resort that was hilarious. LOL!

These reviews asking "why watch the show if you don't like Shawn" confuse me. I love psych and don't like Shawn much anymore but I do like everyone else, and Shawn DOES lie, steal, take credit for other people's work, put down cops, and all the rest. And so far as I can see, Shawn and Gus ARE in character here, if you actually pay attention to WHAT'S ON THE SCREEN NOW and not just how Shawn was in the first two seasons.
Do any of his fans actually admire his behavior? Is it cool to do the things he does? I don't get it.
Anyway, keep going, Alysheba. You're ** Shawn but someone needs to be, and the story is well-written and entertaining.

I like that you went diffrent than the show I can respect that. The fact that you made Shawn and Gus completely unrealistic however I can not. I don't understand why you watch the show if you hate the main characters so much. I'm all for changing it up and coupling diffrent people as long as it's still within character which this wasn't. I didn't like this fic at all, sorry.

Yeah... Shawn pulling flowers from the department beds as a peace offering is about right on. Enjoyed Angry Vick in particular (yeah, focusing on the Vick part for the moment- can't imagine why *g*)
Going on to the Lassiet aspect, I like Juliet's reflection and love that Carlton would think to call her. You've written Sophie convincingly enough that even though you've already told us this is going to wind up a Lassiet, I'm a leeetle bit concerned, so good on you, there.
I'm looking forward to seeing how you turn this in the direction of a Lassiet.

Quite honestly, though I'm a large Shules fan, I find Lassiet fics incredibly entertaining. At least, when they say true to the show. Your fic is fantastically written, but it seems to me that you only like Lassie and Jules. And you make Shawn and Gus out to be a lot worse than they are. As well as making Juliet act as if she really can't stand them. Which, in all reality, she has always quite liked their goofiness.
And I promise, I'm not just saying this because I'm a massive Shules shipper. In fact, Lassiet is my second favorite ship of the show. It's just I can't stand that you don't portray the characters as they are.
