I just re-read this story and wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it. I could picture this in my head. I particularly liked the end with Tuvok and Neelix. I hope you continue to write more of this story.

That was a beautiful story. This new post-Year of Hell universe you have created has so much potential. I can't wait for the next installment.

Fantastic story, I had a smile on my face the whole time. Very true to the characters. Looking forward to the next one.

Absolutely beautiful! I loved this story. As always, I can hear them talking – or not talking – just hear them thinking – perfect characterization! I liked the detailed description at the beginning – how Chakotay would run barefoot over the trails and through the forest. I enjoyed the visual image of a dozen people traipsing through the broken ship to find the commander. The ending was a wonderful twist – heard through Tuvok’s ears and seen through Neelix’s eyes. But for some reason my favorite lines are these:

“He always comes eventually."

"But he doesn't stay."

"No." Usually Chakotay came alone, looking like he was missing a limb without the Captain there, and left early to watch the sunset by himself. "If he's with her, though..."

"If he's with her, then it'll be all right if he doesn't come”

I think this says it all – how he is a part of the crew, but apart from the crew without her. He is only whole with Kathryn at his side.

As always, “More please?”

So, I read this story several days ago and was called away before I could post a review. I have to tell you this story stayed with me all weekend. When I first read the premise, and knowing who wrote it, I was looking forward to it with great anticipation, and to say I was not disappointed would be a vast understatement. I loved it so much. You capture their voices so well, all of them. It was so much better than I could have imagined it. And the epilogue was perfection! I LOVED how you wrote it in Tuvok's voice, the whole description, Neelix's holoimage...the whole thing gave me goosebumps, again! I can not wait for the parts to follow!

Tonight I pulled out my Voyager dvds after what felt an eternity without them. "Year of Hell" was always one of my fave. so after I finished with it I came back here and reread this story.

I got chills the first time around, tonight, even more intense, "Broken, but not bowed." Yes! Both Janeway and Voyager. I love that you showed how they all healed after the ordeal they went through. A poignant story, which I enjoyed reading very much. Seeing Janeway fighting her inner demons both as a Captain and a woman with emotions towards a man whom in all better judgment she shouldn't love in that way, Chakotay thorn apart from being shunted by her, oh my... Powerful writing, can't wait for you to post more.

I have only just started to read this story and as soon as Chakotay notices the watch hanging from her belt and says "Still proud. Still fighting." He places a hand against her ravaged cheek, his fingers in her hair. "Still strong. I'm not ready to give up on her yet." I got goosebumps! I love the reference to both her & voyager! I just had to stop and let you know that. OK, now heading back to the story...with great anticipation!

Wonderful, thank you.

This is really great! The EPH and recognition of PTSD were really needed. I really loved the conversations between Tom and Chakotay and between Tom and B'Elanna. Also, the one at the end between Tuvok and Neelix was very nice. You really do a great job on the characters and showing what could have happened with the Reset Button. I look forward to your next story. Thanks for writing!

This was perfect. Enjoyed the moments between Harry and Tuvok for some reason - both characters always seem way too understated in most stories I read, so felt refreshing to hear from them here. Though I have to say that while hearing from the wonderful idea of the EPH, the Doc was always a favourite for me with his dry wit, so I do miss him! Also, I am very curious as to your development of Seven. She always gets such a bashing in J/C stories that I'm intrigued by your gentle depiction of her here. And just where did she disappear to in the end? Unlike her to leave Tuvok stranded.

Favourite moment would have to be Tuvok's wee introspective gem where he over-hears his CO's talking quietly. There was something about that scene that got me totally involved, to the point where I could almost taste the sea-salt air. Beautiful - definitely *sigh* worthy. Though I did not notice any clear Eliotism in there...was I meant to?

And now the impatience for the next part is settling in...if only I could fast-forward time! (PS sorry for the rambling nature of this review!)
