I love it. I absolutely love it. I really like how its subtle, how you could show how they both are in love with each other without it having to become physical. It shows really just how old these beings are.

I fell in love with this.
I mean it.
Such a delicate, subtle piece, like little drops of black ink falling onto a white page, and forming a beautiful picture, so clear.
The way you manage to use this delicacy to convery such strong emotions to the reader is wonderful, and I love it. It moves the heart, but it isn't painful: in my mind, and I do hope this doesn't offend you, there's not a scrap of angst in there; it's so... light and optimistic. I do apologise if this wasn't the reaction you were aiming for, but that's how it affects me. I have this smile on my face, you see.
The way it ends - begins? - is perfect. As I said, subtle. So subtle, in fact, that I hardly dare to say that it seems like Aziraphale feels /something/ back - I don't even know what - for fear of being too harsh and cracking the crystal. Those last two words. AGH. I can't even explain it, but they make me so happy!
Thank you for writing this. I foresee so many warm days and nights for these two. Warm in the emotional/spiritual sense, you see.

This is so great. Seriously. I couldn't ask for anything better. (And how is it that our headcanons for these two losers totally match?)
Let me quote your own writing at you for a moment.
"During his absence, a rather unnerving amount of plants decided to slack off, and he figures it would be wisest to locate the rusty shears in his closet as soon as possible." Your characterization is perfect. Literally flawless.
"God, he's pretty" and "His hair smells like flowers." Also perfect. It's a lovely little way to show how Crowley's affection is so nuanced! In my experience, that's how my crushes usually form- though they don't typically go on for milennia.
"He's the one who has loved Aziraphale singularly for years, and yet God will always trump him, trump everyone, the damn bastard." Punch me in the heart why don't you.
The best part of this is that there's no big dramatic kiss and a weepy ending. No confession on Aziraphale's side. The Arrangement continues, albeit in a different way, but it goes on just the same with a larger glimmer of hope! And it is just so wonderfully characterized and. It's just wonderful.
