I really like how you've given depth to Cat's character here, I wish they had done that on the show because his character seems like the least developed to me. He always seems to only be shallow but realistically I think he would have this side to him, even if he's afraid to show it. It kind of reminds me of my own cat; whenever I go outside and leave her in the house she meows the whole time but then when I come back she pretends to be indifferent towards me. Anyways, you've made me like the Cat more :)

Lovely short insight into the Cat's mind. One often doesn't think of him as being afraid to be alone, being so narcissistic and all...but it really gives an added depth to the character when you think about him in this manner. Good job!

Aw, I really liked that. You definitely added some depth to the Cat, who often seems to come across as rather ... uhm... shallow. You showed that he does care - even about Rimmer. And him being afraid of ending up alone again gives him such a very human touch. All in all a great little fic. Thanx a lot for writing and sharing!
