I kind of love this story. Mini Alex is awesome. And my guess for Alice would be her family either neglects her, is poor/homeless, or is abusive.

Great chapter! I'm not sure if I reviewed the last chapter, but if I didn't I'm sorry. No excuses, except I was probably away, and that's a horrible excuse! Alice doesn't do PE, right? And she doesn't like going home (according to Alex), right? My first thought is that she has an abusive family, but I don't think that's right. Poor, I think most definitely, maybe she doesn't have parents? That could explain how she reacted to Alex talking about Jack and Ian. My guess is that she doesn't have a mother and possibly has a neglective (I don't think that's actually a word...) or abusive father. My overall impression of this chapter is that Alex doesn't know his friend as well as he thinks, and that Alice doesn't want him to know her that well. That, and it was amazing! Alex's birthday party sounds great for next chapter and I can't wait to read about it!

P.S. This is really random, but is the new format for messing with your head as well? I was half way through a story, clicked on the next chapter button, and spent several minutes staring at my screen trying to figure out what I'd done wrong!

So sorry I didn't review the first chapter. I had the misfortune of reading it when I didn't have time to review. So, sorry! I really enjoyed it though! Alex's comments to Blunt made me wonder why he ever hired - *cough blackmailed cough* - him in the first place. Then i decided it had to have been revenge :D Jack's reaction was quite amusing as well. I was almost in stitches reading it!
This chapter was just as good, if not better! It's amazing how a child's mind works. I remember thinking one of my teachers was evil when I was in primary school. I still make weird assumptions about my teachers' true identities! Kathy was so mean! I didn't like her from the start. Good for Alex and Alice for getting revenge! I was mildly surprised that Alex's partner in crime wasn't Tom, but it makes sense that they haven't met yet. Maybe they'll meet next chapter? I can't remember how old they were when they met in the books... Actually, I think they were in high school, or at least late primary... Anyway, I can't wait to see what you come up with! I hope it's as funny and entertaining as this one! I'm sure it will be :D
For the story to be mentioned, can I do some shameless advertising and mention my own story? If so, it's called 'Live and Let Die', by TantalumCobolt (me!). If not, I recommend 'Everlasting Changes'. I'm not sure who it's by though...
