Ah, another person who sees the 'tortured hero' that is Horatio... Very well done. I believed it all. And you write very well. The pace is good, and - important to me - the spelling and grammar are all there. (I know I'm pedantic, but if the basics aren't right, I can't be bothered with the story!) No such problems with you. Keep writing.
