Absolutly amazing! You really captured the way Flamedrop felt, through his words and his movements! It was a brilliant ending, so abrupt and leaving anyone who reads it yearning for me!

I was especially intruiged by this piece, since I had never before heard of the challenge which it was made for and goodness...it is simply heart-wrenching.
I'm shocked to hear that you're so uncertain about the quality of this story! The spelling and grammar is spot on, the warrior names are creative, and the description is absolutely masterful.
The one thing that I was curious about was the paragraph format, the way that they are grouped was a bit distracting to me-I wasn't sure whether it was a stylistic preference or if the site took normal sized paragraphs and distorted them into short segments (I feel like it does that a lot...). Other than that, the sentences flow wonderfully and the transitions between Flamedrop's memories and his present experiences are pleasantly smooth.
The emotion throughout the story is startlingly realistic, from Iceflower's unrequited love to Flamedrop's guilt and sorrow-I was close to tears! The whole thing is so tragic and bittersweet.
This is an excellently written piece and I can't wait to read more of your work! =]
