It makes amazing amount of sense that the others wouldn't exist in the 'new' world beyond Ax and Cassie, after all, Cassie and members of her family have that time thing going on with them.
I like how you portrayed this other group, particularly how selfish Benedict was when it came to wanting to live as a human instead of a morph capable wolf. Particularly this reactions to Drone, Cassie's thoughts about Ax and Erek.

Wow! I love this one. A really interesting idea.
It would have been cool to see a bit more of these other Animorphs and their personalities. I thought Benedict's story and the differences from Tobias' were fascinating.

Fantastic little piece, though there's a bit of a jarring moment in the middle there where you refer to Alan as Marco. I presume this is from an earlier draft of the story where you didn't change the character names and just altered the group dynamic.
Overall, it's a wonderful short story. Thanks for sharing it!
