Somehow this seems so perfectly possible.
Although I like Naru and Mai together as a pair, I believe they aren't meant to be together, unless they sort out the dissimilarities between them. It's impossible though, Naru is the most impassive creature on Earth.
I liked how he wanted to tell her, but he decided that his pride was more worth than love and I absolutely loved how he let go of her, knowing that she would never be happy with such a boring man. Loved it, my chest hurt as I read it, but lovely anyway.

How could no body like this! Dozers. I love it! You might be right in the fact that people want Naru and Mai together but i think that its your signature to keep the Ghost Hunt characters (especially Naru) in character. Personally I love it. (even though i'm big a Naru/Mai fan. Never change the way you put these stories together!
