Loved this chapter, I just hope Cato isn't too much of an *sshole when we get to the capital because I would love to see his softer side. I really wish these stories where Katniss knew Cato before the games was canon, that would have added so much to the story, including a male protagonist who's reasoning completely revolves around getting into Katniss's pants, I mean heart.

Okay sorry about all the separate reviews, but I keep thinking of additional comments after I've submitted them already.
I really enjoy their meetings as children, and how they're not really good friends or have fallen in love or anything like that. A lot of the stories I've seen show that they're in love pre-arena, and I don't think that's really realistic, as love would be seen as a weakness and eradicated during Cato's training. So I enjoy the realistic-ness of your story! :)

I was thinking that if neither of them knew, then during the Games, that could definitely be interesting. I'm hoping that you include scenes (like in the movie) of Gale's and Prim's reactions to whatever happens. Let me know what you think!
