Woo! I've finally gotten here. Sorry it took so long! Anyway, this was a wonderful chapter! I loved how Lucas was able to break into the files. I loved the World Bank reference; that made me chuckle. I also found it interesting that Nathan was forced to delete certain files after Hyperion...and he didn't really question it? But he was a military man, too, so I can understand. My favorite line was when Nathan called them fools though. I just about died laughing because I can see the look on his face, and it's just very amusing to me. :) I love how Lucas covers his tracks, too. Too bad his computer had to suffer, but it makes total sense, even though they'll know it was him. Oh, I look forward to what transpires at the island then. I'll try to read the other chapter before the day is out. Well done! :)

Oh, I'm so glad you worked these two in. I wasn't sure how much we'd see them, and I' love that you went directly off dinner first. Hmmm...curious that Kristin would leave Michael on the island alone, though. Even if it was to protect them from the Macronesians. Again, I know this is your AU...so Nathan never found him at the American Embassy in Belgium then? Just want to get that straight. I like that you still have Lucas a little angry but that he's working through it. He has a lot to be angry for...maybe not necessarily at Nathan, but at the situation at hand. I loved when he called Kristin and flashed that smile...it was like a glimpse of the old Lucas, and I can't wait for the two to actually speak...and maybe even see one another in person. I also love that he and Nathan slowly begin to figure it out...all with the help of the KIA date. I know Lucas will dig it up! I can't wait for more now. Awesome chapter!
This sentence gave me a lot of trouble. It comes off as awkward: "Don't let your anger at me keeping Kristin's calls to me a secret from you." It seems like there should be more to the sentence, but I'm not sure what you were trying to say, exactly. You might want to look at that.

Yikes! That does not sound good! When you say Admiral Lexington, are you talking about Admiral Lexington Smith? Or is that just coincidence? I'm just curious. Anyway, why in the world would the Macronesians want them? Okay...well, I know why. But if the Macronesians were so against the UEO, why would anyone from the UEO help them? Ugh, I'm annoyed now! Not at you...at the actions of the UEO. I can't wait to see what happens, but please stay safe in the storm. Good luck with everything...and well done, as usual. :)

Oh, I LOVE that Ben took care of Addy. I do wish we could have seen more of him...but maybe in a later chapter? I'm glad Michael is safe (and i thought I should mention you slip and call him Matthew again; you might want to fix that) and that Kristin is taking care of him. I'm sorry Addy was finally taken, but I'm not really surprised either...it seems to me that was inevitable. I loved the little scene with Charlie. I'm glad he's okay as well. It was cute that Robert was worried about Ben. I'm glad now that at least, she and Robert are together. But testing the Project Mobius on anyone else seems volatile. Addy and Robert already know that...but the UEO doesn't care. Man, I can't wait to see what happens next. Well done. :)

Wow...that did escalate fast, but not so much that it was terribly unsettling. I think that it works for your storyline...and I can understand wanting to get to the end. I do hope Addy listens and goes somewhere where they can't find her. I hope Kristin can protect Michael. And I hope Robert and Charlie stay safe...somehow. Can't wait to read more. Well done, darling. :)
One tiny error:
Have Kristin take Matthew somewhere safe-I think you meant Michael.

Well, I don't know what you were so worried about with Kristin, darling. You write her very well...so well, I could literally hear her saying the dialogue you've written for her. You're spot-on...so don't worry. :) Oh, this was a lovely chapter...for the most part. I'm glad little Michael has finally arrived, and he sounds like a doll. And I love that Kristin is as close with him as she would be with her own biological grandchild...not that I would expect any less. I was a little annoyed that Robert was kind of cold with her...but I suppose I can understand. I'm glad he and Kristin had that little chat. Even though he had to leave again, I hope he'll be a little nicer to her next time. I'm glad Kristin finally opened up about the aliens. Of course, as Addy said, she can't tell her about what she knows...but I'm really curious as to how Achilles and the seaQuest fit together, and I just can't wait to read more. Well done. :)

Haha...chuckling at your A/N. But onto the story. Oh, I loved this chapter. The e-mails were lovely, although I definitely can understand his apprehensions about Kristin. I mean, we know she's okay, but he never got to mourn the loss of his own mother properly, so it's understandable. I do hope that by the end, he warms up to her though. I laughed at that line about him wanting Kristin to explain why Addy loves microscopes and thing so much. And really interesting about the hyphotheses and things. Hmmm...why is the UEO censoring the e-mails now? Bastards! Can't wait to see what's next. Great job, as usual. :)

Oh, I love, love, LOVE that you've brought Kristin into this. You know how I am with her, so any story with her is ALWAYS up my alley. Oh, I'm just so excited about this now! Anyway, I love that she and Addy have met. I was wondering why in the world they'd stick her on Bridger island, but I think I understand now. I agree with your premise, that Kristin might not believe that 'they just disappeared'. I'm glad Addy was able to tell her a bit more. I so cannot wait for more of this now. Just awesome! :)

Well, we knew this had to be coming sometime, since we all know about Michael. He had to get here somehow, right? I definitely feel for Addy though. Yes, they got married, and in most cases, the next natural step is becoming a parent. But I can definitely understand her aversion to wanting to raise a child that way...almost like an animal in captivity. That's no life for a young child. And then seaQuest goes missing again...again, nothing we didn't know. But it must be devastating for Robert. And the end. Oh, no...that isn't going to turn out well, is it? I can't wait to read more. Well done, as always, darling. :)
One minor error:
You don't shower than long, and no water ran for a bath-I'm not really sure what you were trying to say here, but I suspect there is a typo or two in this sentence. You might want to fix that.

Ugh, I knew there was a reason to dislike Matthews. I do hate him, especially since we know that HE sabotaged Achilles. Now how in the heck are they going to get out of this situation, and what will this mean for the rest of them? I honestly don't care as long as I see Matthews get his eventually. Well done, as usual.
A minor error: "No," said slowly, full and thick with sarcasm-I think you meant 'he said slowly' (or it because I'm not sure if you're referring to Robert or his expression).
Anyway, can't wait to read more. :)

No, say it isn't so! Not Charlie! Okay...he says that it's for the good reasons he wanted to bring up the technology again...but it's more like they're playing with fire, and Robert knows it. Ah, and then the conversation with Matthews...man, I just don't know how to read that guy, but when you think about it, he's just very military. He only tells what's necessary, and good soldiers shouldn't question it.
And, yes...quite a time jump there...but after reading your note, I can understand. I trust you. Anyway, I do love how you're bringing up seaQuest's disappearance in relation to the Achilles project and Mobius holes. Hmmm...so, what will Captain Matthews tell him now? I have a feeling it won't be good news.
Now, I do like that you're going to explain some things, but man...please don't make Nathan to be a bad guy with Section Seven. I never much liked the 'Good Soldiers' story line because I just couldn't see Nathan torturing GELF's or even knowing about the torturing of them and not doing anything to stop it. I know it's canon, but I don't like it. Not your fault, of course. Do what you must...I just hope you give a plausible reason for it. Anyway, another great chapter. Sorry you RL has been busy, but I know I, for one, appreciate the fact you've even managed to post a new chapter in the middle of all that mess. Can't wait for more...but please don't break your neck trying to post it. I can be patient! :)

Great couple of chapters, glad that they're now married, but totally understand their frustration that they're stuck there, and also that none of their family knew. Eagerly looking forward to more.

I disagree. People get married in winter all the time. So, I wouldn't worry about that. Okay...so I didn't, but I do know people who do have had November, December, and January weddings. I think it's plausible.
Also, you have two chapter 16's. This is chapter 17, yes? Just noticing. :P Ah, but I'm glad they finally got married. Again, the time of year doesn't matter, IMO. I wouldn't worry about it. I also loved the white dress line. I just love Addy so much. And the little 'honeymoon' was cute...well, a week off anyway. I love the lighter mood between Robert and her, even if it's short-lived. And, yes, that is weird about the Achilles team researching Mobius holes. Is Charlie in on it? And if not him, who? Eagerly looking forward to more. Well done, as always, my dear. :)
nitpicking: The day of Robert and I's wedding kind of crept up on us.-This sentence seems awkward. perhaps change it to Robert's and my wedding. I'm not sure if that's correct either. That's a hard expression. The wedding of Robert and I, perhaps? Ah, well...that's just aesthetic. :P
Two could play at that came.-I think you mean game.

Interesting premise using seaQuest's bioskin and combining it with the Achilles' systems. That was smart. However, would anyone in the UEO have access to that technology...the bioskin? Just curious. And, ugh...you're really making me hate Matthews more and more. I really want to know what his motives are. Or are his hands just as tied as everyone else's? Either way, I am really enjoying this story all the same. I love how you give little bits and pieces each time. I hope Robert and Addy's wedding goes off without a hitch, but I have a feeling something bad will happen. Can't wait for more. :)
