I was so excited to see a new chapter, and then even more excited to see Ziva finally actually talking about Eli and what happened. I know it's good for her to accept that he was evil dude and she didn't deserve what he did to her. Her crying jag reminds me of Sara's reaction when she saw the photos of her mother; they both had a lot they needed to get out. I hope it's not too hard for Ziva to know that Gibbs killed Eli himself. Obviously it's not exactly the same as when he shot Saleem, but that's what it makes me think of.
I LOVE all of them getting in some family time and eating pizza together at Gibbs's new place. It sucks that Sara had a break like that, but I love how the whole team went into go-mode to deal with it. And the sweet hopefulness of the last line is just perfect.

I am SO glad to see Ziva let out all the injustice that Eli has done to her. Pouring about the abuse she endured, especially the last once, and how she felt. It was so needed and so well done. And I can feel the load Ziva's carrying just that bit lighter.
Sara's drawings for Ziva were precious.

Sara. It's so great to see her growing and eating more readily and happily. Aww, she has a toddler pot-belly. Yes, thank you. I didn't know I wanted that until you wrote it. It's so unfortunate to see that Sara broke, when she had been independent and moving around all by herself. But it's nice to see that she's not letting it get to her too bad.

Beautiful and aptly written, as always. I am so proud of Ziva for being truly able to recognize that everything Eli did to her- not just the most recent assault- was wrong. I feel as though up to this point she was able to see his treatment of her was wrong, but there was still that feeling of 'deserving' it a little. He always told her she was stupid and weak and a burden and nothing she did was ever enough. She was indespensible and not worth anything more than a cheap magazine of bullets. That stuff gets to you, and after a while you start to believe it. So even if she knew how Eli treated her was wrong, she couldn't process that because of her own insecurities.
That paragraph where she mourns the loss of her childhood took my breath away. My heart hurts for the little running Ziva. But it also feels a little less raw than other times, becasue she can see and she has had this tremendous breakthrough. I'm pulling for her. We all are.
And my little Sara is getting a Buddha belly and a tiny wheelchair and is so darn cute and so good for Ziva. Ziva is so good for her. I'm so sad Sara broke (scary at how easy that was!) but daddy's there. I also loved the intimate moments between Ziva and Tony- her head pillowed on his big barrel chest.
I love this. I love you. I am so proud. I can't wait to see what happens next. XOxoXOxo

Wee! Update! :D perfect excuse to procrastinate! (who the heck decided we need physical chemistry and inorganic biological chemistry anyways?)
Therapy! So she's 'fine', huh? I wonder if she even remembers Dr. Loeb being at the apartment after her panic attack :/ ..
I love the way you write these scenes! You're SO good at getting the emotions and feeling out of the characters that is realistic etc...
Poor Ziva, though! Although she must be feeling somewhat better (not just with her vision), since she can be there at the therapist's office by herself and actually talk etc.. (I guess it helps that she'd gotten used to it even BEFORE Eli came back and that she KNOWS the doctor!..)
I like Dr. Loeb.. she's good! And clearly Ziva trusts her enough to talk.. and it's SO painful for her (and us! :/)! and not just because it's hard for to 'remember',,, Okay, can I just temporarily kidnap her and shower her with hugs and return her to you again?
(I love finally getting her story from Ziva's POV! both because it's possible for you to make it so emotionally powerful :P But also because it tells us what it meant to HER! It's clear that Sara's 'safety' and her role in what happened is still of major importance.. but here we get an insight into just how hurtful the beating as well as the words were! ...)
Hmm.. there was a POINT in all of that.. but I got side tracked or lost or something and forgot where I was headed.. ooops! (I mean, we've known for a LONG time now just how easy it is for Eli to hurt here with even a single word or look...)

(and aww.. misses Sara, huh? There sure is a very equal love between those two :P) And i doesnt surprise me that she feels like once more she must earn or pay back what people do for her :/

So yeah.. in case you havent guessed it.. absolutely LOVED that whole section! :D Duh! Surprise, huh?! :P

Awwww! Sara just keeps on being too cute! And wow! Seems she's improved quite a lot! Maybe her 'health' really IS connected to Ziva! :) And she's so happy and proud and showing Ziva around :D
And she DREW! I've been waiting for her to draw Ziva something for AGES! (which you know :P).. soooo cute! Love it LOVE IT! :D

I love this story, along with the first one. My heart goes out to little Sara. She was so happy and getting a taste of independance. I can't believe she broke her little leg. I hope that she will get stronger and be able to walk.
