are less than speed-gifted when it comes to typing. I'm actully using
it right now to give my fingers a well-deserved break...It's located
under 'Start', then 'Accessories', and 'Accessibility' named On-Screen
Keyboard. It rocks!...The only drawback is your wrist gets tired real
quick. Oh well. My fingers are tired so I'll let my wrist do the work
a while. I got this idea from something on 's Wish List
feature; a notebook thing that they call "Escape From Neopets". Well
it reminded me of the lost account and it inspired this. The story of
what happens when a character who lived in with her pets
for most of her life after getting lost from her parents one day on
the way to the store is concidered a threat by an old enemy of Neopia
and is kicked out of her home. Can she return? Or is she forbidden the
access by that evil being? Sloth's return I guess..It sucks I know. I
don't usually write in this particular catagory.
"Prophecies Realized"
Part One: Danger Lurks
"Come along now, dear, we mustn't be late for the meeting that we're
supposed to go to today. We have to hurry and get to the store and get
back or we won't be ready on time to go to the meeting!" a young woman
called out as picked up her five-year-old little girl.
"But what about Tamara?" the woman's husband replied as he stepped out
of the bathroom with a towel around his neck as he continued to shave.
"She isn't going too, is she, dearest? She's too young to understand
the importance of this meeting."
"Oh, Mirius, of course she's going!" came his wife's response as she
glared playfully at him and hugged her daughter. "Tamara has to get in
on the action sooner or later. She'll be a member of the Dire Impodese
when she comes of age. The sooner she witnesses what we do there the
better it'll be for her. It'll be easier for her to get a hang of what
goes on there if she's exposed to it early on in life."
"I suppose you're right, Tabatha, dearest."
Within a few minutes, the three family members were on their way to
the store, on foot, as Tabatha always insisted that excersicing at
least once a day would help them to live longer and be healthier while
they did.
"What's that?" Tamara asked as she pointed at a blue wolf-like animal
ahead of them, walked on a leash by an old lady.
"That, Tamara dearest, is what we're going to the meeting about." her
father stated as he picked his little girl from her mother's arms and
smiled at her as he gently cupped her right cheek in his palm.
"But what is it?" Tamara persisted.
"That's a Lupe. It's what we know as a Neopet. And unfortunately, if
all goes as we expect it will at this meeting, we won't be seeing too
many of those or any other Neopets anymore around here."
"But why?"
"My, my, little one." Tabatha giggled and mused. "But you are filled
with questions today dear."
"Momma, why's it not going to be around much longer?"
Tabatha gave a sideways glance to her husband, concern in her eyes, as
she gave a silent plea to him to pick up where she had left off in
explaining so she wouldn't have to think up the correct way to say it
so that it would make sense to their daughter and not sound as bad as
it was in reality to the little five-year-old.
Taking the hint, Mirius heaved a heavy sigh. "Well, princess, a bunch
of Neopets have been attacking people lately. So the meeting we're
going to is to determine if we'll be sealing off the world of Neopets
from our realm or not in hopes of preventing such attacks. Any person
whom has a Neopet, should we decide to seal up their realm from ours,
will be forced to send them back to Neopia. Neopia is where they dwell
originally. It's the only way to see to everyone's safety. We don't
know who or what is leading the Neopets to attack, but it's for sure
that if we don't do something, someone could get seriously hurt. Or
even worse."
"But, daddy, that Neopet doesn't seem so bad!"
"Not all are, small joy, not all are. But there isn't any questioning
that there've been countless attacks within the last few months. And
to prevent this we may have to seal up Neopia until the problem's
remedied."
Mirius gently set Tamara down onto the ground as they continued on to
the store, letting Tamara walk between them as she held both their
hands, one hand in each of hers.
As they reached the store's entrance, Tamara's eyes went wide upon
seeing the newest addition to the store for kids. A rocking horse ride
meant for Tamara's age group.
"Momma! Daddy!" Tamara cried out. "Can I ride that? Please? Please?"
she begged.
"Well.." Tabatha said doubtfully.
"Please?" the child persisted.
"Well alright." Mirius nodded in agreement. "But you have to be ready
to leave when we get out of the store, honey, the three of us are on a
very tight schedule."
"Okay! Thank you mommy and daddy!"
And so, the child's parents proceeded on into the store, leaving their
daughter outside to play on the newest ride. But the thing they didn't
know was that someone had been watching them whilest they were going
inside, and had seen them leave the girl alone in public.
A wicked grin crept upon the blue face of the red-eyed being. This was
only too easy! The child told about in the Prophecy was alone now! And
unguarded! Did her parents not know how important this girl was?
Well, if they didn't, all the better for the plan..

Continue reading for more. Next chapter gets better I promise. Yeah
the creature is a Neopet that's watching Tamara as she plays. But what
has it got planned? And what turns out to be the case about this so-on
Prophecy that it mentioned? Something's amiss..
