"Well, are you coming?"
The words echoed repeatedly through a blonde head. With a heavy sigh, Glinda pushed the covers aside, wincing as her feet came in contact with a cold floor.
"Are you coming?" very few combinations of three words could have such an impact on ones life. Glinda considered the events that took place after those three words had been spoken.
There had been a lot of disappointment. Plenty of confusion. Most of all, there had been fear, from all sides. Choices that she once wouldn't have believed of herself had been placed in front of her. Betrayals had begun o appear left and right. Friends had been lost due to those choices. People, certain persons in specific, that she would never have considered enemies had become so.
Looking at the moon from the framed window, she began considering regrets, and another heavy sigh escaped her. A sudden stir from the bed broke through her thoughts.
She turned from the moon. Away from certain light, certain shine, to face the bed.
"Come back to bed."
Blonde curls tumbled on to her face. She blew at them in a feeble attempt to get them away. An unlikely giggle tickled her ears.
A green hand reached out from under the covers.
"Well, are you coming?"…to bed.
Regrets? Glinda though with a grin. What regrets? And she reached towards the extended green hand, entwining contrasting fingers. Together.
