So here is the update after weeks of not updating and I am so sorry! I hope you forgive me. Since it is summer I hope to write a little more even with work coming up I will try my best. So I won't ramble but let you just read this update.

Chapter 19: Leaping Together on Love

Last night had been good. Hell it was more of amazing. He woke up to the bright light shining through the window. He tries to sit up but a warm body is settled soundly next to him. He smiles to himself remembering the drinking and the amazing sex last night with Meredith. He knew she was going to freak out once she woke up and he needed to be there to tell her everything was going to be ok. He looks at her again and could still see she was sleeping and hopefully she wouldn't have too much of a hangover. He scoots off the bed gently and manages to throw the covers over her naked body. They were going to have to go to work later and he didn't want her to be sick. He pulls the remains of his clothes off the floor. He tiptoes over to his closet and takes out a clean pair of sweats and a clean t-shirt and puts them on. He thought she would want some clothes so he takes out another pair of sweats and a shirt. He takes them into the bedroom and lays them on the bed. He then walks to his bathroom in search of pills.

"Dammit where are those pill?" he says rummaging through the cabinet.

"Fuck!" he says pills spilling out of the cabinet till he came to the right bottle of pills.

"Here they are." he opens them up and took 2 out going back to the bedroom and putting them on the nightstand.

"She probably needs water." he says to himself. He then descends the steps and into the kitchen to retrieve a glass of water for her before taking it back to the bedroom and putting it next to the pills. He looks at her peaceful sleeping form. She was beautiful she looked like an angel or goddess. He strokes some loose hair from her face behind her ear. He looks at the clock sighing they would need to go into work soon and he was kind of hungry. She would have to get up and he might as well cook some food. He looked at her one last time sighing before walking down the stairs to fix something for breakfast.

She awoke closing her eyes tightly from the bright lights in the room. God she had a headache. She sat up the room becoming dizzy she rubbed her temples furiously trying to get rid of the pain. She looked over and noticed she wasn't in a room she knew. She looked and saw a note on the bed.

Sorry you must feel terrible so I got you some sweats to put on and some pills. Hope you get better.

Why would she need to put on sweats? Didn't she have clothes on. She got out of bed and noticed all her clothes discarded on the floor before noticing she was naked. She gasps falling back onto the bed. Crap she thought. She knew she shouldn't have gotten so drunk last night but no when Meredith Grey gets drunk it always results in sex. But now instead of a one night stand she had sex with her boss or her boss' boss. Crap this was bad really bad. She quickly got off the bed. She needed to get out of here. She couldn't put back on her clothes. She sighed taking his sweats and putting them on quickly. She then saw the pills on the nightstand and smiled before gulping them down with the water. She started to feel a little better but she needed to go. She slept with her boss or her boss' boss. She couldn't fall in love with him and yet she was. She hid her face in her hands.

"Stupid, stupid idiot your falling in love with him and you can't." she mumbled to herself.

She then gasped when she heard the bedroom door open.

"I thought I heard someone get up." he smiled. "I made you breakfast."

"Uh… Thanks but I think I am going to go." she said gathering the rest of her clothes.

"Meredith." he sighed sitting on the bed. "Your freaking out."

"No."

"Yes." he said stopping her. "Its ok to freak out." he said rubbing her arms gently.

"No! It is not I had sex with my boss. My boss or my boss' boss!" she sighed sitting back on the bed. "I said to myself I would give you a chance and I told myself not to have sex with you and I did and now just now I may be doing something I will regret and I hate myself because I have fallen in love with you and just I…and then I heard you last night say I love you Meredith Grey and yes I guess I am freaking out and…."

"Wait!" he said stopping her from continuing her rambling.

"What?" she groans.

"Did you say you fell in love with me?" he asks in shock.

"Yeah and I haven't even know you that long and you can't fall in love with a guy in a short amount of time and…" she is freaking out.

"But you have fallen in love with me?" he smiles brightly.

"Yeah I guess I have." she smiles slightly.

He kisses her. She loved him well it looked like she did and now she knew he loved her.

"Derek." she squeals. She didn't expect for him to kiss her. This was way to fast and she was freaking out.

"What?" he said trying to kiss her again.

"This is so confusing and you want to kiss me?"

"Yeah." he said trying to kiss her again. She stopped him though.

"But why I don't know what we are." she sighs playing with her hands.

"Well you love me and I love you. What else is there?" he smiles.

"Yeah I know but you really love me? Me Meredith Grey all dark and twisty?" she asks playing with her hands more.

He lifts her chin so she is looking straight at him. "I'm in love with you. I've been in love with you forever." he smiles.

"Oh my god this is so confusing." she says standing up she was freaking out.

"Mer. Meredith."

"Oh my god we are in love." she was freaking out.

"Meredith? Meredith!"

"What?" she says finally looking at him.

"You don't need to freak out." he grins.

"Yes I do I love my boss or I mean my boss' boss and you love your resident and this is horrible and so confusing. What are we going to do?" she groans.

"What do you mean?"

"Derek we can't tell people about us yet. I am so confused." she keeps saying confused a lot because she is.

"Why?"

"Because you're my boss' boss and I am your resident and we aren't supposed to fall in love with each other I have barely known you and already this is so confusing."

"Meredith. It is fine people don't have to know yet but…"

"But what are we? I am so confused." she said falling back onto the bed.

"Ok stop saying your confused I am banning that from your vocabulary." he chucked.

"Derek stop this is serious. I have barely known you and I don't know what we are?" she said putting her hands over her face.

He took her hands off her face. "Mer we don't have to be anything we can just see where this takes us and if it works." he smiles. "First we both know we love each other so that is good right?" he smiles.

"I don't know Derek." she sighs.

"Mer please just try and see." he begs.

"But…"

"Please."

"Fine but I am still so…"

"Meredith stop."

"Confused."

"Stop saying that."

"Why this is I don't know what we are and how this happened I barely know you and it is scaring me a little to already be in love with you."

"Well I think you know me." he laughs.

"Derek!" she smacked him. "No, I mean I don't actually know know you I have only known you for a little bit and…"

"Well then we can go on more dates and get to know each other a little longer. Would that make this less confusing and better for you?" he smiles.

"I guess it would but what are we?"

"We are nothing for now ok?" he kisses her.

"Ok." she sighed. "Um… I need to go."

"Mer. Do you want to stay a little while? I made breakfast and we can have more fun." he smiles.

"No I think I need to go home for a bit before work."

"Ok." he sighs. "I will give you a ride." he says getting off the bed.

"No I have a car."

"Mer I brought you here." he laughs putting his shoes on.

"Right um…." she stutters.

"Relax I can take you home and pick up Connor ok?" he smiles kissing her on the cheek.

"Ok." she smiles.

"Calm down we are nothing now but it could make sense eventually ok?"

"Ok." she smiles before kissing him on the cheek. She continues to gather her things and getting ready to head home. Things were still so confusing because they were nothing. They barely knew each other and already she was falling in love with him and he was with her. So they were going to give this a go and she had faith that if she fell he would be there to be her knight in shining whatever. They weren't going to tell anyone yet they were just going to see if this worked. Even if she was thinking this was too fast and she was freaking out he would be there to help her and whatnot. She had faith in him. They were leaping together on love.
