Helloooooo! here comes a little silly story written because I thought something silly would help me to relax before resuming the preparation to my next story... ;D (my poor poor brain... sooo full of existential question on the story... ) he he... this is about chess, this is about a man and HIS woman (or the opposite), this is about a toad,... if I say more, I'll tell the story... lol ;)
Disclaimer: I own everything! (bad bad joke because I REALLY DON'T OWN A SINGLE THING OF THIS!)
Dinner was nearly over and the teacher's table was ringing with the sound of people eating. Dolores Jane Umbridge, Hogwarts High Inquisitor was silently (for once !) eating her dessert. Her "colleagues" couldn't know it, but the only reason of her (miraculous) mutism was her spying on the Headmaster and his Deputy.
Suddenly, Albus Dumbledore blushed at the words his Deputy was telling him in the ear. The toad-like woman smiled wickedly. She had it ! She had the proof she missed ! Now that she was sure they weretogether, it wouldn't be difficult!
When the two of them retired from the Great Hall, the toad followed them and, in the hallway, she cleared her throat with that infuriating cough-like sound of hers, which made both of them return to face her. McGonagall had stiffened, her eyes cold as eyes, as if daring the pinky woman to do something, while Dumbledore was smiling unchallantly. Umbridge said:
"My, my... the long bachelor headmaster and his old spinster of a deputy going away... alone. Tut tut tut... people could talk... especially after having seen you blushing at the words of this... McGonagall."
"Dolores, surely, you hadn't thought we wre going to do something utterly inappropriate, had you ?" asked Albus inocently. "Minerva and I were heading to my office for a nice game of chess on her proposing."
"So THIS waswhat she told you about ? Asking for a game of chess ?"
"Yes, Dolores. What else would it be if chess is what we're going to do ? A knitting competition ?" replied Minerva harshly.
"Then, why did he blush ?"
"Well... it's kinda embarrassing to say..."
"Is it ?"
"It's been decades since I've won any of our chess games and Minerva always reminds me of this when asking for a game..."
"Oh... of course" said the toad (more than) a little put out.
"Well, now, Dolores, if you'll excuse us, Professor Dumbledore and I have a chess game in waiting."
"Of course, goddnight Professor Dumbledore, Minerva, and good game!"
A little while later when the toad is FAR FAR AWAY...
"Have you seen her face, my dear ?" asked Albus.
"Of course, I've seen her face, you old fool! But next time I propose chess, hold yourself!" replied Minerva.
"It's not my fault if I react to such a proposal, dear. After all, how could I not, when, in front of everyone, a true goddess asks me to play strip-chess after dinner ?"
this is it... ;D as usual, your reviews make my day! (or night! ;D lol)
