First Glee fic! This has a more serious tone than my other fanfiction, so be warned! I hope you all enjoy this! BTW, this will eventually be a PucKurt, so those of you who don't like it can just leave.
Disclaimer: Glee belongs to the glorious Ryan Murphy. If I owned Glee, Mark Salling would not be allowed a T-shirt on set and Chris Colfer would be required to sit on his lap for at least 30 minutes at a time…. With only a 5 minute interval in between :)
That being said, enjoy! :D
The Plan (And How It Sometimes Fails)
Noah Puckerman leaned casually against his rusty truck, waiting for the exact moment a certain person came walking by him. Ten minutes passed and he finally found who he had been looking for.
Kurt Hummel walked past him talking happily to Mercedes; both were too deep in conversation to notice Puck come up to them.
"Hey, fairy boy." Puck called getting in front of the pair.
Kurt glared at him; he obviously disliked the nickname that Puck had chosen for him. Not that Puck could care less.
"What do you want Puck?" He asked with a roll of his eyes and a paper-thin patience.
Puck glared back, and decided to turn his attention to Mercedes, who was at least paying more attention to him that Kurt was. He took a deep breath and gathered his courage; he could do this.
He was Noah Puckerman after all.
"I-I need help trying to get Quinn back." He said, hating how defeated his voice sounded.
"Oh Puck," Mercedes stared at him for a few seconds, pity in her eyes.
Puck looked away, her look made him uncomfortable, and he wondered if it was worth getting help from these two losers.
He looked towards Kurt and their eyes met briefly before they both looked away. Puck froze, there was something oddly familiar in Kurt's eyes and Puck recognized it as the look he sometimes had when he looked in the mirror, it was the look of someone in pain from unrequited love.
This struck Puck's curiosity, who could the queer possibly like? It couldn't be Finn; that had ended long before it got the chance to begin. Puck shook his head, no time for guessing games; he had to figure out his situation with Quinn first.
He didn't even know why he had been curious in the first place, that was very odd. Oh well, he had bigger problems to attend to, anyway.
"Well, are you going to stare at me like that for another hour or are you going to help me?" Puck asked a bit more rudely than he had intended.
It surprised him how fast the pity left Mercedes eyes.
"Not with that attitude I'm not!" Mercedes said, her famous temper striking up.
Oh great, now he'd done it.
Puck stayed still, head tilted slightly downwards while Mercedes ranted on about respect, or whatever it was she was yelling at him about this time.
He sighed; he should have just asked Rachel for advice.
Puck thought of the hyperactive girl and shuddered. Never mind, anything was better than Rachel. She would probably tell him something stupid, like "let love guide your soul," or some other girly crap that he didn't want to listen to.
Yes, Mercedes' rants were way better than Rachel's self-praising discussions.
Puck looked up as soon as he was sure she was done trying really hard not to tell her off. He would try to behave; he really needed advice.
I'm not really satisfied with the ending…. Meh.
Please review! :)
P.S: The updating will be a little... hectic. Not because I want to keep you all with suspense, but because I have so many classes this semester! D: I'm not entirely sure if I'll survive, so wish me luck! lol :)
