Edward's Confidence

Edward's POV

Summary: This story will mostly be told from his point of view; however, I will change the point of views from time to time. Edward is a vampire and has been waiting centuries for his mate. He will gain more confidence once he finds his mate, will the new girl, Isabella Swan, be the ONE he has been waiting for? He will be sometimes jealous and slightly possessive of his new found love, Bella Swan, but that's how we all like him, right it?

WARNING: There will be strong language! I also wanted to warn my readers as well that, in this story, Edward will start to control Bella, this is Darkward by all means, it's just that he is a vampire and it's his nature. If that offends anyone; please DO NOT READ. He will get more controlling and possessive as the story moves along. Thanks again for reading!

Chapter 1:

Edward Meets Bella

Edward:

As I drove to Forks High School, I thought about the gossip and buzz around the school about the new girl from Arizona. I kept wondering to myself why she was so special, except for the fact that she was Chief Swan's daughter. Apparently, she had been living in Phoenix with her mother and hadn't visited Forks since she was a young girl. I pulled into the parking lot as I thought about how boring my life was. I stayed alone usually. I had my family, of course, but when they wanted to be alone, I would just either read or play my piano and write songs.

Well, at least the day was going by fast. It normally went by slowly for me, since I have had repeated high school so many times over the decades. I walked from my class to the school cafeteria, which had a lot of students walking around. They were talking and eating their lunches. As soon as I opened the door, I could smell the fresh scent of blood all around me. I heard Jessica's thoughts as she was talking to the new girl.

"Do not waste your time, nobody in this school is not good enough for him, apparently," I just smiled to myself and found my siblings sitting at our table.

I sat down and pushed around the food that was on my tray with my fork. We had to keep up appearances in front of the humans. Alice, my "sister", whispered softly, "Don't look now but, the new girl, Bella, was looking right at you!"

UGH! Here we go again, another human female; they were always gawking at me. I turned, and, sure enough, I saw a pair of chocolate brown eyes staring right at me. She blushed and looked away.

"I told you, Edward."

"Alice, why do you have always to get me to talk to humans? If you want to be friends with them, that is fine, but leave me out of it!" I whispered so no one else could hear me.

"Edward, do you want to go hunting with me and Jasper after school this evening?" Emmett, my brother for all intents and purposes, asked me.

"I guess; it's not like I have something else better to do."

"Dude, she just looked at you again," Emmett said with a bit more excitement, much to my annoyance.

I looked back over to the new girl, Isabella, although I had heard she preferred to be called Bella. He was right. She was looking right at me again. I tried to concentrate really hard to hear her thoughts, but I could not hear a thing. Maybe there was too much noise and that was why I could not hear her thoughts. That has never happened to me before. Oh well, the bell just rang and we all went to our own classes. I sat down at my table in Biology, while the other students came in after me. Bella came in through the door with Mike Newton; I could not stand him. He always thought all the girls wanted him!

He would have a competition if I even attempted to date these other girls. The fan was blowing, and, all of the sudden, I smelled the most amazing and intoxicating scent ever. I wanted to drink that blood; it smelled so sweet. I covered my mouth and nose so it wouldn't be so overwhelming! The teacher directed Bella to the empty seat next to me.

As she sat down, she gave me a weird look, and then she started sniffing herself. I guessed she thought she smelled bad, but it was the total opposite! I could feel her fidgeting. I pushed the sheet over to her and let go of my nose and mouth. All I could think about was how easily I could drain her of all her blood. I suddenly got up from my seat as soon the bell rang and went right to the school office to see if I could change my schedule around. Just then SHE came in and the Mrs. Cope told me there weren't any openings.

"I guess I will have to just endure it." I walked right passed Bella and into the hallway to get to my car as fast I could!

A/N: So, Edward is trying to avoid Bella huh? I wonder how long that will last…hmm.
