27Back at the Simpsons' house, the Simpsons just got back from their vacations. They pulled over at the driveway, and Bart jumped out.
"Oh, that was awesome, man! That was the best trip ever!" Bart cried happily. He ran into the house, up the stairs, and into his room to check on Basil. "Basil, I'm home! I can't wait to tell you about Camp Sherlock!"
But when Bart checked out the shelf, he fell confused to see the empty shelf. "Basil?" he asked.
Then, just when Bart turned around, he saw his toys on the bed with a piece of paper and the words "Welcome Home Bart" written in marker. He saw the Madagascar gang, Goldie, Yoshi, GIR, and Dawson with them.
"Wow, new toys!" Bart gasped. "Thanks, Grandpa!"
Grandpa Simpson actually did not know anything about giving Bart new toys. Then again, Grandpa had been taking care of the house while his family was gone.
Bart picked up the toys and said, "The animals are in the house, and I'm ready to play action!"
But of course, as Bart played, no one noticed the luggage car parked near the sidewalk outside his window.
In the following morning, the police had shown up at a neighborhood to see the luggage carrier, wondering how it got there. Inside the house, Bart sat by the window to see the birds flying by. Marge opened the door and said, "Bart, Grandpa's leaving. You gotta say goodbye to him."
"Coming, Mom," Bart said. "I'm just glad I left Basil at home. Someone might steal him from me." Of course, he had no idea what became of Basil since he was gone.
Basil sat up and out of toy mode. He sighed happily to be home. "Thank goodness I'm back home," he said.
Goldie approached the gang with a smile. "He's right, guys. Bart does care for toys, and he does have a younger sister! Why didn't I trust him?"
"Hey, everybody has to understand the story," Alex said.
"Are you kidding? This life is the best of the best!" Marty said, jumping around. All his jumping around caused him to fall off the bed. "Oops!" He landed on the floor. "I'm okay!"
"Ain't nothing I like more than meeting a friendly pheasant like you," Sandy said, talking to Goldie.
"Oh, you're very kind," Goldie said. She then approached Spyro. "And you. You must be very handsome for a dragon you are."
Spyro blushed with a chuckle. "I, uh, I'm just proud to be a dragon," he said.
Goldie turned to see Tramp wanting to get out. "Oh, my! He's gotta go!" She jumped on the car and rode it down the ramp. Flying toward the door, she turned the knob, and the door opened to let Tramp out.
Cynder approached Spyro and said, "You know, even when I'm a toy, it's okay to be in love," she said. "I love you." She kissed Spyro and jumped off the bed.
Spyro was so stunned his wings flap up. What a dragon, he thought.
Otis was having trouble with the game he's playing. Hubie approached him.
"Hey, Otis, can I talk to you about something?" Hubie asked.
"Not now, I'm busy!" Otis said. He sees the "Game Over" sign on the screen. "Aw, shoot!"
When Otis hit his hoof on the remote, the channel changes to see the news about Pete's punishment.
"In other news, the owner of Pete's Toy Castle, Pete, had just returned from Japan only to be arrested by the police. Police say that Pete was charged with theft from the Donation of Goodness, where the Madagascar toys were last seen, and he was seen stealing a child's toy from the house during the yard sale," Kent Brockman said. "During the trial, Pete was found guilty of toy theft and sentenced to fifteen years in prison. Despite the jail time for Pete, Pete's Toy Castle went under new management. Kent Brockman, the Associated Press."
Otis and Hubie smiled to hear the news.
"Who's to say that crime doesn't pay?" Otis asked.
Angel and Stitch were having a conversation, which was cut short when GIR stood in between them.
"Mr. Blue here saved me from the danger!" GIR cheered. "You saved my life. I am grateful to you!"
"You saved this robot's life?" Angel asked, surprised. "Oh, what a lovely Trog you are, Stitch!"
"Oh, no!" Stitch groaned.
Spyro approached Basil and said, "Well, I guess it's good to have you back."
"Yes, and I'm proud of you, chap."
"Oh, and about Basil's Mysteries, there's something I gotta tell you."
"What's that?"
"I looked up online, and I found out that the fantasy show that surpassed it was my show."
"Your TV show? What's it called?"
"Spyro of Warfang. You're not jealous of me again, are you?"
"Who, me? No way. It doesn't matter which shows are the greatest. What matters is that you are my dear friend no matter what."
"Oh, Spyro, you're making me blush," Spyro said, turning his head away while blushing.
Basil then saw the Guardian Dragons bringing in Puffin, and Puffin is squeaking perfectly. "Puffin! You're all repaired!" he said.
"Yeah, Stitch's cousins had found a new squeaker for me and did all the work to fix me!" Puffin said.
"So how does it feel?"
"Great! In fact, I feel like a song coming on!" And with that, he grabbed the mike and started to sing.

All the other toys cheer as they dance along. Mario and Luigi dance with Yoshi.
"Oh, you guys made me so happy!" Yoshi said. "I love you guys!"

Basil looked out the window to see Bart and the others waving goodbye to Grandpa Simpson as he drove off. Spyro approached him and said, "Are you worried?"
"Who, me?" Basil asked. "No. It'll be so much fun while it lasts."
Spyro chuckled. "You're the best guy I've ever met since we've met."
"And you are mine. No matter what happens in the future, you and I will always be together, with protection for the world."
Meanwhile, the song continues as everyone danced.

Basil and Spyro sat next to each other as the girls approach them. Sandy and Goldie kiss Basil as Cynder kissed Spyro.

Once the song ended, Puffin looked at the camera and winked to say, "Bye-bye."
