In the 31st century, 1000 years after the Age of Heroes, three children embarking out to explore the universe find their paths intertwined when another's life is placed in their hands. The first of many, these three formed the Legion of Superheroes, a band of youths taking their fate and their future into their own hands. Through trials and strife, they seek to carve their own path, to disrupt the corruption in the government, find their place and rediscover the unwritten code of heroes. With no one to guide them, will they fail? Or will they succeed?
Arete: virtue or (human) flourishing: (Greek: ἀρετή; pronounced /ˈærətiː/ in English), in its basic sense, means excellence of any kind. In its earliest appearance in Greek, this notion of excellence was ultimately bound up with the notion of the fulfillment of purpose or function: the act of living up to one's full potential. Arete in ancient Greek culture was courage and strength in the face of adversity and it was to what all people aspired.

The Legion Oath:
To the Legion of Superheroes and to the Milky Way Galaxy, I make this solemn pledge. To use my powers for good, to fight against evil for justice and to protect the innocent. To aid my fellow Legionnaires in times of peril, to keep their secrets safe, to accept their flaws and assist in their times of suffering. We have chosen new names to honor the heroes of the past, for we are the Legion of Superheroes!

The dawning of a new era began at the turning of a year and now, nearly four years later, this band of youths finds themselves taking part in the defense of the galaxy's great leaders even as new conflicts arise, new allies step forth, and old tensions remain strained. With three years of work behind them, the Legion of Superheroes find that enemies conspire to undermine their reputation and unhinge the galactic stage and with the peace at stake, they must remain loyal to their pledge as a sinister conspiracy slowly begins to come to light. At the peak of catastrophe who will the people chose to be their protectors? When the pieces begin to fall into place and the Legionnaires must place their very lives on the line, everyone will be forced to realize the meaning of their sacrifice, valor, and great heroism.

The chapters may appear different in writing style. This is because three different people are writing the chapters but it shouldn't interrupt the flow of the story.
