"Stabilize him!" Dr. Tompkins shouted, "Manhunter, what's going on in there?"
Come on Robin, you got this...
Martian Manhunter clutched the side of the metal table, "He is… he's not sure what is reality and what is a dream… he is confused… his body doesn't know how to respond."
Dr. Tompkins cursed, why couldn't it be just a physical aliment?
"Can you contact him?" Dr. Tompkins asked.
"No… I cannot… he is too deep for me to reach while he is in this state."
"Is there any way that-get the defibrillator STAT!"
Martian Manhunter brought it over shakily. Dr. Tompkins tore her hands from his wound to grasp the machine.
"CLEAR!" She shouted as she shocked the pads against his chest.
"Looks like the circus is in town."
"What are you doing, mister?" a young boy asked as he crept into the tent.
"I'm fixing the line, it wasn't locked tight enough," the man said, "Hey, I here it's your big debut tonight kiddo."
"It is, mister."
"Well, break a leg kid."
"Thanks mister, and for fixing the line." He added; his parents taught him to always be curtious.
"It's not fair!" Richard said, sitting on the edge of the platform, "I can do it!"
John, his older cousin, ruffled his hair, "Better luck next year kid, besides, you get the best seat in the house."
"Ladies and Gentlemen… the flying Graysons!" Mr. Haly's voice boomed from bellow.
"That's my cue."
The family of five took off into the air, flying just as they were named for…
The air sucked out of the tent.
They were falling - falling…
He was falling…
A magnetic pull, dragging him towards the center.
A hand grabbed his, and they were both falling, falling…
"You knew… you knew!"
"You knew from the beginning!"
Screaming screaming screaming.
"There's something you're not telling me." Batman stated, and he knew he stated the truth.
Superman was being fidgety, not his normal demeanor.
"What. Is. Going. On. In. There?"
Superman looked up at Batman from his seat with a slight from on his face, his ear perked, "We have company."
On cue, everyone else burst into the medical cramming in. Wally and Superboy heading the pack.
Batman turned to them, "What are you all-?"
"Robin's heart monitor stopped!" Superboy shouted.
Batman's eyes gre wide and he flared around back to Superman, "You kept this from me?"
"It's back," Superman said, "Batman it stopped for only a moment, I-"
"He was trying not to worry you," a voice said.
They turned, Dr. Tompkins was standing in the doorway to the medical chambers.
"Should I be?" Batman nearly growled.
Dr. Tompkins looked down and exhaled through her nostrils. She peeled off her bloody surgical glove, it came off with a whipping snap.
The sound echoing menacingly through the hall.
Bet you weren't expected that to be added into that pysche thing, now did you?
This chapter is written different than the others, it is sort of a filler but it adds all the same. I feel like this chapter is more raw and distant, and in this current situation I feel like this was the only way to do these scenes. Even if it is so short.
Reviews = NOT A CLIFF HANGER NEXT TIME I SWEAR.
