{A/N: Hi everyone! This is my new story! Well, let me tell you something. I wasn't going to originally write this story, but then 10 seconds ago, it popped into my head. So, I'm going to save my other idea for a later date. Fine with you? Well, good! Alright, so let's get this started. Wasn't iOMG amazing? I shrieked with Sam and Freddie kissed. I was so glad! Well, happy reading!}
SAM'S POV
"Ladies and gentlemen, we welcome you to another bright and sunny day at Diamond Island! Please be aware of the free sunscreen we have available for you. We don't want anyone becoming toasted marshmallows while you enjoy your happy day. I'm Erin Warner and have fun!"
That's the first voice I hear when we arrive at Diamond Island. Diamond Island is an amusement part in Washington. Carly, Freddie, Gibby, Spencer, Mrs. Benson and I are spending the day here. I'm not looking forward to being surrounded by crying children and people passing out from the heat. But, I am looking forward to riding the roller coasters and shoving food into my fast whenever I can.
"Can we ride the roller coasters first?" I ask my entourage. Mrs. Benson looks at the roller coasters and shakes her head.
"Those things? Heavens no!" she shouts. I roll my eyes and shove my way past her.
"Well, it's a good thing you're not my mother and I don't have to listen to you. Roller coasters are the best rides ever! In fact, they have a new ride today. How can you not let me have the amazing opportunity to ride a new roller coaster that no one else in Seattle has ridden? You have to let me ride it!" I shout. She shakes her head.
"I'm responsible for you today and you're not leaving this ground at all. Freddie, you're not riding it either," she says. He shrugs his shoulders.
"That's okay. I don't want to ride it," he says. I roll my eyes and shove his shoulder.
"You're a freak," I say. Carly puts her hand on my shoulder.
"Sam, I thought you promised to not call Freddie any names today," she says. I roll my eyes and shove Freddie's shoulder again.
"You actually thought I was going to keep that promise?" I ask. Freddie laughs and rubs his shoulder. He looks at Carly and smiles.
"We should've known better," he says. I turn to Spencer and Mrs. Benson.
"I really want to ride the new roller coaster! Please!" I beg. Mrs. Benson shakes her head and frowns.
"No, I'm sorry, Samantha, but at least I'll know no one with me will end up in the hospital today," she says. I roll my eyes and laugh.
"No one is going to end up in a hospital for riding a roller coaster! It's safe," I say. She shakes her head.
"You never know what might happen. So, you're not riding any roller coasters. Do you understand?" she asks me. I sigh loudly and shake my head.
"No, but I'll drop the subject," I say. I turn away from them and walk toward the nearest roller coaster.
"Sam! My mom said you can't ride it!" Freddie shouts. I wave my hand at him and roll my eyes. His voice gives me a headache.
"Shut up, Benson! I'm just looking at it," I say. Spencer digs into his pants pocket and pulls out his wallet.
"I'll go buy the tickets," he says.
He walks over to the ticket booth nearby. A teenage girl who looks to be about our age walks over to the ticket booth and smiles. She's wearing red shorts and a blue Diamond Island shirt. Freddie looks over at her and smiles. I stare at him and gulp. The girl sits down and starts to read a fashion magazine. When Spencer walks over to her, she sets her magazine down and smiles up at him.
"Welcome to Diamond Island! How many tickets do you need?" she asks. I moan and look back at the roller coaster. She's too happy. She's like Carly.
"We'll need five tickets," he says.
"Are you going to ride our new ride?" she asks me. I turn around and look at them. Spencer shrugs his shoulders.
"What's your new ride?" he asks her. I roll my eyes and throw my hands into the air.
"Spencer, I've already told you! It's the new roller coaster Crazy won't let me ride!" I shout. Freddie looks at me and glares.
"Don't call my Mom that," he says. I roll my eyes and cross my arms over my chest.
The Diamond Island T-shirt girl laughs and nods her head.
"She's right. We have a new roller coaster today. It's the biggest roller coaster we've had yet. It's called The Thriller," she says. Spencer laughs and looks at her.
"The Thriller? Really? Do people dance to the song in it? You know, the Michael Jackson song?" he asks. He begins to sing the song and do the dance. Carly snorts loudly and covers her face with her hands.
"Spencer! Stop! No! Stop dancing!" she shouts. He looks at us and laughs.
"Well, it sounds like a fun ride but I'm sure that lady over there won't let us ride anything with the word thrill in it," he says. He's totally right. Why did she have to come with us? She's ruining all of the fun!
"Well, it's a lot of fun," Diamond Island T-shirt girl says. I really have to figure out her name.
"You sure are a good salesperson, but we can't," he says. The girl looks at him and rolls her eyes.
"My mom is Erin Warner. She owns this amusement park. She always tells me, "Be polite to the guests! Sell tickets! Persuade them to ride our rides!" One time, I went on my lunch break and some people showed up to buy some tickets. Well, the guy who was supposed to take my shift when I was eating didn't show up. So, no one was at the ticket booth. We lost four sales and my mom went ballistic on me that night. Apparently it was my fault for being hungry! I haven't messed up since then," she says.
Spencer scratches his head and frowns.
"She seems like a nice lady in the commercials," he says. She shrugs her shoulders.
"She just wants your money," she says. Hey! That sounds like me!
"Ahh, well, how nice of her," he says. She sighs loudly.
"Anyway, do you want to buy the tickets for the new ride?" she asks him. Spencer shakes his head.
"No thanks. I don't need to pay money to do The Thriller," he says. He starts to sing and dance again. Carly shrieks and runs over to him.
"Spencer! Please! Stop doing that!" she shouts. I laugh and shake my head. He's so funny.
"You need special tickets to ride that roller coaster. So, if you want to ride it, you need to buy the tickets right now," Diamond Island T-shirt girl says. What? You can only buy the tickets now? Well, I think I'm going to buy the tickets. I have plenty of money. I pull my wallet out of my pants pocket and smile down at it. Yes! I brought just enough money for the ticket and I still have enough money for food.
"No thanks," Spencer says. She shrugs her shoulders.
"Suit yourself. Here are your tickets. The total cost is $300," she says. I can see Spencer's eye pop out from here. I laugh and shake my head. He so wasn't expecting that.
"Really? That's expensive. Well, I guess I can splurge a little bit today. Here you go," he says. He hands her the money and takes the tickets. He puts them in his wallet and walks over to us.
"Enjoy your day!" Diamond Island T-shirt girl says. I turn to look at her. I need to figure out her name.
"What's your name, lady?" I ask her. She smiles at me.
"Lilly," she says. Oh, it suits her. Lilly is a cheery name. She's definitely cheery.
"Thank you," I say. Mrs. Benson walks over to Spencer.
"How much were the tickets?" she asks him.
"$300," he says. She gasps and shakes her head.
"I didn't know it would cost that much. Are you really sure this amusement park is worth the money?" she asks. I nod my head and force myself to not hit her.
"Yes!" I shout. Freddie laughs and puts his hand on my shoulder. I glare at him and shove his hand off of me.
"Your opinion doesn't count," she tells me. I cough and look at everyone. What? My opinion doesn't count? My opinion does count! I'm Sam Puckett! My opinion COUNTS!
"I like it here," Freddie says. He glances over at Lilly. I stare at them two. Lilly glances up from her fashion magazine. She smiles at Freddie and waves. She glances back down at her magazine. What is going on here?
"I like it here too. It's a fun environment. I mean, think about all of the fun we're going to have. It's going to be a fun day. My Magic 8 Ball app on my PearPad told me it would be fun," Carly says. I stare at her with my mouth hanging open. Her Magic 8 Ball app? Oh, great! Carly is turning into a nerd.
"You're Magic 8 Ball app? Are you kidding me? What are you? A genie?" I ask her. She rolls her eyes.
"If I'm a genie, then you're a genie too," she says. She pokes me in the stomach and I giggle. I pull away from her.
"I don't play your games," I say. She smiles at me.
"I didn't ask you to play," she says.
"Girls, we're going to stay," Mrs. Benson says. I jump up and down and clap my hands.
"Yes! Victory has occurred!" I shout.
"Also, you can ride whatever you want," Spencer says. I jump up and down again and scream.
"Are you serious?" I ask.
"Yes," he says. Mrs. Benson shakes her head.
"That doesn't include any roller coasters," she says. I groan and feel my heart dying.
"Just when I thought victory was going to lift me off the ground on a new thrilling ride, a lightning bolt strikes from the sky and wipes away my dreams," I say.
"Stop talking to yourself and be a normal teenager," she says. I glare at her and flex my fist.
"I am normal. Maybe you're just a weird person," I say. She turns to me and raises her eyebrows.
"What did you say?" she asks me. I shake my head and smile.
"I said, maybe you're just an amazing person and thank you for noticing these things," I say. She smiles and turns around.
"Good. Okay, are you ready to start the day?" she asks.
"Oh yeah!" Carly shouts. Freddie looks at Lilly and smiles.
"I think I'll stay right here," he says. I slap his shoulder. What is going on in his stupid little head? Spencer puts his hand on Freddie's shoulder.
"No," he says. Freddie points at Lilly and smiles.
"But…" he starts to say. Spencer shakes his head.
"No," he says. Freddie rolls his eyes and laughs.
"You don't even know what I'm thinking about," he says. Spencer smiles and nods his head.
"Oh yes I do! I have those feelings also about women. And they are fun feelings. Gosh, I need a girlfriend," he says. I smile and shake my head.
"Then you understand why I want to stay, right?" Freddie asks him.
"Yes, but you can't," he says. Freddie shakes his head.
"But…" he starts to say. Spencer shakes his head and covers Freddie's face with his hand.
"No," he says. Freddie sighs and walks away from us.
"Fine," he says with a disappointed look on his face. Why does he want to spend so much time with Lilly? Does he like her? This can be interesting.
"Can we go ride some rides?" Carly asks us. Mrs. Benson nods her head.
"Yes, let's go," she says.
She leads us through the front entrance to the amusement park. I stop walking and pretend to pick up a map of the amusement park. I see them walking ahead of me. I turn around and walk out of the amusement park. I walk over to Lilly. I grab a chair and sit down. I do like sitting down. I place my elbows on the ticket booth and stare at Lilly. She glances up from her fashion magazine and stares at me.
"Yes?" she asks me.
"I have a proposition for you," I say. She sets her magazine down and stares at me skeptically.
"Yes?" she asks me again.
"My friend Spencer already bought our tickets," I say. She nods her head.
"Yes, I know," she says.
"Well, you told him that he had to buy tickets for The Thriller right when he bought the tickets for the amusement park," I say. She nods her head again.
"That is correct," she says.
"Well, is it too late to buy a ticket?" I ask her. She stares at me and nods her head.
"Technically, yes," she says. I gulp and pull my wallet out of my pants pocket.
"I'll pay for the ticket. I have money! Trust me! I have loads of money!" I shout. She shakes her head.
"I can't sell you the ticket," she says. I sigh and look down at my feet.
"Well, why do you sell the ticket for The Thriller separate?" I ask her.
"Well, it's a new ride. We have this policy for every new ride," she says. I look at her with my pleading blue eyes.
"Well, I need the ticket. I need to ride this ride," I say. She stares at me with no expression on her face.
"Why?" she asks me.
"It looks fun! It looks thrilling! I'm Sam Puckett! The dare devil! I have to ride it!" I shout. She sighs and groans.
"Fine, I'll sell you the ticket," she says. I giggle and hand her my money.
"Will you get in trouble with your mom?" I ask her. She shrugs her shoulders and hands me a ticket.
"What she doesn't know won't hurt her," she says. I smile and nod my head. She's a rebel like me. I like this chick.
"I know that feeling," I say. She smiles up at me.
"Are you going to go behind that crazy lady's back when you ride The Thriller?" she asks me. I nod my head. I can't wait to see the look on Mrs. Benson's face when I tell her I rode the roller coaster. She's going to freak out!
"Oh yeah!" I shout. She laughs and pats my hand.
"Good girl! I wish I can ride it," she says. She can't ride it? Is she afraid of heights or something?
"Why can't you?" I ask her. She shrugs her shoulders.
"My mom doesn't let me ride a new ride until at least a week until after it opens," she says. That doesn't make any sense.
"Why?" I ask her. She shrugs her shoulders again.
"I have no clue," she says.
"Well, I'll tell you how it is," I say. She shakes her head.
"You don't have to do that. It's not like we're friends," she says. I nod my head. Yeah, that's right. I don't know this chick. I don't have to do any favors for her. I don't have to feel sorry for her.
"I guess you're right. Well, I better go before everyone freaks out," I say. She smiles and waves good-bye to me.
"Yup, you better hurry if you want to ride The Thriller," she says. Yeah, there's probably a long line for it.
"Have fun selling tickets," I say. Carly runs over to me. She looks flustered.
"Sam! Come on! Mrs. Benson thinks you left and went to ride The Thriller. That won't happen, right?" she asks me. Lilly and I share a secret smile.
"Nope. That sure won't happen," I say. She smiles and grabs my hand.
"Good! Now come on," she says. She runs away from me. I turn to look at Lilly. I know why Freddie is acting weird around her. I know why he wanted to stay here. He likes her. She is really pretty. She has long, brown hair that flows down to her butt. She's tan and hot. I wish I looked like her. Well, wait a minute! I'm hot too!
"Freddie, the dork with the blue shirt on, likes you," I say.
"I like him," she says. She does? She doesn't even know him.
"Oh brother," I whisper. She laughs and waves good-bye to me.
"Enjoy your day," she says. I point to her magazine.
"Enjoy your awful looking magazine," I say. She smiles up at me.
"Enjoy The Thriller," she says.
"Enjoy getting sun burnt," I say. She laughs and looks down at her tan skin.
"Enjoy Diamond Island," she says. I sigh and begin to walk away from her.
"Where all your hopes and dreams come true," I say. I wave good-bye to Lilly and enter the amusement park. Today is going to be a great day. I can just tell.
{A/N: Well? How did you like it? Please review. I have a good feeling with this story. You're probably wondering if there is going to be Seddie in it. Well, you'll just have to wait and see. Well, see you guys later!}
