{A/N: Alright, here is the next chapter. There isn't that much left to this story. It's almost over. I'm so sorry it took me forever to update. I've been really busy with school. I hope you understand. Well, I hope you enjoy this chapter. I'm sorry it's a little short, but I decided to make the next couple chapters short to drag the ending out a little bit instead of making it one huge finale chapter. Is that okay? Well, happy reading!}
SAM'S POV
Today is the big day. I am getting my eye surgery today. I can't believe it. By tomorrow, I will be able to see again. I'll be able to see the world. I can't wait for this to happen.
Someone knocks on the front door of my house. I walk over to the door and open it.
"Is that you, Freddie?" I ask. I hear him laugh and I smile. By tomorrow, I will be able to see my boyfriend's face again.
"Yup, are you ready to go?" he asks. I nod my head and grab my coat. I close the door behind me and he guides me to his car. He opens the passenger door for me and I sit down.
Most people would be scared of having eye surgery, but I'm not the least bit afraid. I know this surgery is going to make me see again. I can't wait.
Once we arrive at the hospital, I am whisked away to the operating room. Carly, Spencer and Gibby were already at the hospital when we arrived. They are so supportive of me. Carly and Gibby are still dating. I find it a little weird that they are dating. They just don't seem right for each other, but I can't judge them. People could say the same thing about my relationship with Freddie.
I am laying on an operating table. A nurse is examining my eyes when my doctor, Dr. Hayes, walks into the room.
"Hello, Samantha," he says.
"It's Sam," I say rudely. He laughs and walks over to him. He sits down next to the table.
"Are you ready to do this?" he asks. I nod my head and sigh. Let's do this!
"I've been ready," I say. He laughs again and tells the anesthesiologist to put me to sleep. The anesthesiologist walks over to me and puts the breathing mask over my mouth. He tells me to count backwards from one hundred. I close my eyes and sigh.
"100, 99, 98…97…96…." I say as I slowly fade into a deep sleep. The next time I open my eyes, I am going to see.
