Ok, total randomness! I got bored and after I read 'Little Green Riding Hood' (thanks Caramel Cheesecake!) I decided to write this. Oh yeah, I have nothing against Lady Pauline, Jenny or Cassandra (who will be a separate person from Evanlyn in this story), I just needed girls for this story. Sorry you three!
Alyssella sighed and woke up from her peaceful sleep. "Oh, good morning!" she said to her mice friends.
Hey, I don't talk to mice!
Calm down little Alyssella! Anyway, her ugly stepsister, Cassandra-
How dare you! I am NOT an ugly stepsister!
Whatever. Cassandra walked into the room and pushed poor Alyssella out of bed.
"Get up lazy, you have work to do!" she shouted and walked out of the room. Alyssella sighed and put her ragged dress on. Her sweet father, Horace, had died years ago and she was stuck with her stepsisters and her stepmother. She walked downstairs, only to have Jenny, her other stepsister, shove a bucket and sponge into her hands.
"Get cleaning, you lazy pig!" she shouted. Alyss glared defiantly at her and tipped the water over her head. Jenny screeched the house down, bringing her mother, Pauline, to investigate.
"How dare you!" she yelled at Alyssella. "Fix the house now!" With that. She tried to walk up the ruined stairs, only to fall and land on her bottom. "Alyssella!" Alyssella stuck her lip out and went to clean the floor. There was a knock on what was left of the door and Cassandra opened it. There stood Gilan, the king's messenger.
"Ahem! The royal King Halt has declared a ball in his son's honour, where he will choose a bride! All young maidens are invited!" With that, he walked away to the next house.
'Aieeeeeee!" Cassandra and Jenny squealed.
"Alyssella! Stop that lollygagging immediately and make our gowns!" Pauline ordered. Alyssella shook her head defiantly.
"Not unless I can go!"
"Fine, you may go. IF you manage to get the housework and our gowns done and manage to find something to wear!" Cassandra and Jenny were smirking.
"Have fun, Alyssella!" they teased, burying her under mounds of fabric. Sighing, she committed herself to making their gowns. At last, in two days, she was finished. Cassandra's was bright pink with lots of frills, Jenny's was ruffled and yellow and Pauline's was deep blue with bows. The stepsisters pranced around in their ridiculous dresses, commenting on how ugly they thought the other looked.
"Oh, look! Ball time and no gown," Pauline said in mock sadness. Alyssella began to cry and shouted "I hate you, you stupid bitch!" and ran up to her room. Night fell and she was crying in her room, when there was a flash of light and a girl appeared. Alyssella looked at her weirdly. She had long blonde hair and was wearing pants and a T-shirt that said 'Fairy Godmother'.
"Who...who are you?" Alyssella asked.
"Read the shirt," growled the Fairy Godmother.
"Wow! I never knew I had a fairy godmother!"
Look, can we just stop the Fairy Godmother crap! It's Evanlyn!
Fine, Evanlyn.
"I'm here to grant your biggest wish!"
"Wow! To be a ballerina?"
"No you dipstick! To go to the ball!"
"But I like ballerinas more..."
"Look, do you want the wish or not? Coz I'll just vanish if you don't want it!"
"No! I want to go to the ball!"
"Make up your mind already!" huffed Evanlyn, waving her wand. Alyssella's hair smoothed out and grew beautiful. Her rags were replaced with a gorgeous white gown and she had two white glass slippers on her feet.
"Wow! Thank you Evanlyn!"
"Scram!" she replied, waving her wand. Alyssella was suddenly in a pumpkin coach with beautiful horses pulling it. They had name tags around their necks: Blaze and Abelard.
"I'm going to the ball!" Alyssella squealed, then noticed a note on the seat.
Be back by midnight or you will be screwed!
"Whatever," she said. She arrived at the ball and gasped at the ballroom. Then she noticed Jenny, Pauline and Cassandra trying to get the Prince's attention and she smirked to herself. The Prince noticed her and walked over to her.
"May I have this dance?" he asked and she nodded.
OMG, I am dancing with Prince Will! she thought. They danced until the clock struck midnight.
"OMG! I have to go!" she shouted, running for it.
"Wait!" Prince Will shouted. His father, King Halt, smirked to himself as he saw his son sobbing and saying that his life was over. Alyssella had left a shoe behind and Prince Will found it. Holding it up, he shouted "Whoever this fits, I shall marry!"
Now, Alyssella had only reached the outskirts of the gardens when the magic wore off. Evanlyn appeared next to the ragged Alyssella and smirked.
"I told you so!" she said, then waved her wand to make Alyssella appear back home. The next day, Prince Will rode into town on his royal horse, Tug and his faithful servant Gilan accompanied him. He knocked on the door and read out the message. Cassandra pushed Jenny out of the way and tried on the shoe but it didn't fit. Same as Jenny. Pauline was fuming and it didn't help when Alyssella asked to try it on.
"Ha! You really think the handsome Prince Will would marry a peasant such as yourself?" she scoffed. Alyssella stepped forwards, curtsied and tried the shoe on. It fit! Cassandra clobbered Alyssella until Prince Will intervened. He pulled Alyssella onto his horse, with her poking her tongue out at the three ugly ladies, and rode away with her.
"What's your name?" he asked.
"Alyssella."
"Stuff that! I prefer Alyss."
"Ok then, Alyss." They got back to the castle and they were married and lived happily ever after, blah blah blah!
Hey, you missed the best part!
So? The story's over, beat it!
