Reflection

It was a snowy 10 o'clock night in December and Amy's parents Cam and Opal are getting ready to go to a party Cam's boss planned. But unfortunately for Amy she can't go because "its only for grown ups" Amy's mom said. Opal is wearing a long red sleek dress with her quills up in a bun. While Cam is just wearing a tuxedo with a dark red tie. And Amy is only wearing dark purple spaghetti strap top with black pajama pants.

"I know mom." the 12 year old pink hedgehog said.

"Are you sure your going to be okay? I could call a babysit-" but Opal didn't finish because her Echidna husband covered her mouth with his large hands.

"Come on my Amy could handle a couple of hours alone, she is a tough girl" Cam told Opal with a smirk on his face uncovering her mouth.

"O-okay" Opal answers and starts smiling with her eyes closed.

"Yeah! I got my hammer and Machine here to protect me." Amy says smiling pointing at her Chao called Machine, he is a Dark power/power Chao.

"You got your cell?"

"Yes mom" Amy says pulling the phone out of her pocket.

Cam steps forward to his daughter, "remember to call us if anything happens, even if the neighbors are... never mind. We'll come back at 1am, bye!" he waves and pulls his wife out the door. Amy giggles at her mom's face.

"Bye!" She waits until she hears the door shut. Amy then looks at her tough Chao.

"I'm hungry... want to eat something?" She asks

"Chaooo" Machine responds in a deep Chao voice jumping up and down.

Amy walks into the kitchen laughing at her Chao's voice and goes through the cabinets. "Aha!" she pulls out a squared fruit and shows it to her Chao. Machine jumps up and down again. She sets the fruit down in front of him. He starts gobbling down the treat while Amy makes herself a Sandwich. When she is done she cleans up, puts the sandwich on a plate and carries it to her dining room. She sits down on the chair in front of the table and starts to eat it.

Its a bit quiet here.. kind of creepy, she thinks in her head. Next Amy look at her Chao and spots him walking towards the couch behind it. Probably going to sleep for the night I guess, she then reaches over to were the radio is in the middle of the table and turns it on. The song "Rain over me" by Pitbull goes on. Amy smiles and continues to eat while listening to the music.

"Girl my body don't lie,

*Beep!*Beep!*Beep!*

Amy's ears twitched started by the sudden loud noise.

"This is Scarlet Garcia reporting" the radio says, Amy then stares at the CD player.

"Sorry for this interruption but we have an emergency broadcast it seems that a serial killer escaped from prison and ran away. He is 6''2 feet tall, white male, and probably 25-30years old. G.U.N says they tracked him down to be near the Never Lake area..."

Amy Rose widened her eyes " Oh my, that's were we live!" she says holding her chest.

"...reports tell us that he is known to rape and murder woman and children mostly at night. So I advice the residents living there to immediately lock all your doors and close your windows. I repeat lock all your doors and close your windows immediately, he is armed and extremely dangero-"

By that time she heard enough and turned it off. Shakily she runs to the front door and locked it, she then closes all the windows and double checks them.

"Phew we are safe now" taking in a breath looking down checking if her phone was still in her pocket, it was. She looks around and says "Lets watch a movie!" smiling almost forgetting about the killer.

Then a squeak was heard behind the couch.

" Huh?" Amy says, looks at the couch. He is probably having a dream, I should be more quiet, she thinks in her head and shrugs.

Amy then goes into the kitchen puts a popcorn packet in the microwave, then sets the time. Next she goes back into the living room and turns on the TV which was next to a window. Amy looks outside the window and sees snow all over the grass. Smiling she looks away back to the TV and pops in the movie into the DVD player, "The Haunting in Connecticut".

*Beep!*Beep!*Beep!*

"Aaaahh!... oh its the microwave hehe." Amy tries to giggle to calm down. She takes out the bag and pours the continents into a large bowl, she grabs it and takes it into the living room. She sits down on the couch warps herself in a blanket and presses play on the remote.

By midnight Amy is still watching the movie. An uneasy feeling creeps up on her. Am I safe in this house? Come on Amy its just your imagination... maybe... She shakes her head trying to rid the thoughts away. And focuses on the movie.

"Aaaahh!" Amy screams closing her eyes looking away from the screen because of a scary scene. After a while she calms down and opens her eyes to look back at the screen and notices a dark figure outside the window next to the TV. Amy gasps and starts shaking in fear feeling her stomach drop and a chill up her spine, she slowly turns her head to face the window. She flinches clearly seeing there is a man watching her with bloodshot crazed eyes staring right through her like a sharp needle.

The man then raises a bloody knife looking like he is going to hit the window with it, to break in. Snapping out of her frozen state Amy runs upstairs to her bedroom, locks the door, crawls under her and calls 911. Praying with tears in her eyes that the killer wont come near this room.

Luckily there was G.U.N and the police in the Never Lake area already searching for this killer. One Police officer and a certain ebony hedgehog were told to go to Amy's house because there was a sighting. They arrived at her house in 1min.

She explained her story that her parents were away for a party, and after a while when she was watching a movie she saw a man outside with a bloody knife. The police officer and Shadow started searching outside to see if they find the man or any evidence. When they were done they walked inside to tell Amy some news.

Amy was still controlling her breathing when they walked up to her.

"Miss Amy we checked the snow, there was no sign of any footprints any were" the officer said while Shadow leaned on the wall near Amy with his arms crossed chaos emerald in hand.

"Aaaaaaaahh" a girl screams... in the TV.

Shadow looks at the TV and back at Amy with a smirk on his face. "I see you were watching a scary movie, Rose."

"Y-yeah hehe." Amy starts giggling and blushing, not only for embarrassment also for Shadows smirk.

"Seeing that your parents are gone and your watching a scary movie at this time of the night alone, you were probably nervous and sleepy, maybe made you see things." the officer said smiling at the pink hedgehog.

"Pheww! you are right I was nervous sleepy and nervous, my eyes were just tricking me I guess. The figure did look a bit blurry", Amy said in relief it wasn't real.

"Don't worry... Rose. Some G.U.N member and police are searching if the killer is around... We are going to be in your street, if you see anything just call we'll be here immediately" Shadow says uncrossing his arms still smirking.

"Thank you Shadow" Amy smiles back at him.

While Shadow and Amy are in a conversation the officer decides walk out of the house when he notices puddles of water on the floor. He follows them and notices the puddles leads to behind the couch. He looks behind it and gasps at what he sees.

A dead chao covered in blood and a discarded bloody knife next to it.

The killer was behind her the whole time...
