Sophitia took care of the wound on Jaden's arm.

Atticus stayed in the other tent with Alexis, hoping she would wake up. He sighed. 'Why does this always have to happen to her? What did she ever do?'

"Hey Atticus, can I come in?" Atticus didn't take her sight off of Alexis. "Yea, come in Cassandra."

Cassandra walked in. She saw Atticus really depressed. "Atticus, she'll be fine."

"I know, it's just…why her?"

Cassandra sighed. "Atticus, I don't know, but I know how you feel. Sophitia was told by Hephaestus to destroy Soul Edge three times and I asked too, why her? I wanted to take her burden, but she didn't let me."

Atticus sighed. "But how can I help her?"

"You can help me by stop worrying about me." Atticus turned around and saw Alexis awake. "Sis!"

She smiled. "Was I disturbing something?" Atticus blushed. "N-No."

"Aww is Atty blushing?" Atticus gritted his teeth. "Alexis, if you say another word then trust me I will tell the whole school your darkest secret."

She shot up. "You wouldn't." He smiled. "Try me." Alexis grumbled something and lay back on the bed.

"What happened?" Cassandra asked. "What do you mean?" Alexis had no idea what she meant. "I mean, why is Jaden bleeding?"

"Jaden is what!" She yelled. "You didn't know?" Atticus asked.

She shook her head. "No, I just remember waking up from the accident with the sword and then I asked him what we were going to do. After that I don't remember anything."

Atticus sighed. "When we found you guys, both of you were unconscious."

Alexis was confused. What happened? Did she really hurt him?

"Well I guess Jaden is the only one who knows what happened, but he's still out." Cassandra said. She noticed Alexis was worried and she knew why. "Alexis don't worry, it probably wasn't you." She sighed.

Sophitia was in the tent where Jaden was. She took care of the wound with the bandage. Now she just waited for him to wake up. She fell asleep while waiting. She had her head on the bed.

Jaden slowly opened his eyes. He felt a small sting in his right arm, but he could handle it. He saw Sophitia sleeping, resting her head on the bed. Suddenly he felt a stronger pain in his arm. This one he couldn't handle. He screamed out in pain.

Sophitia woke up startled. "Jaden!" She checked his arm and everything was still fine. "Jaden, you have to pull through!" Jaden gritted his teeth, but the pain subsided and he could relax again.

She smiled. "That's a good boy." Jaden smiled a little. "Hey, is Alexis ok?" She nodded. "She's fine, woke up a half hour ago. Atticus and Cassandra are with her. She's worried about you." He nodded.

"What happened Jaden?" He sighed. "Well, when I caught up to her I jumped on her, pulling her down from her horse. After that I placed the necklace at her heart like Cassandra did, but it already worked when it was near her. She blacked out and I waited for her to wake up."

Sophitia nodded. "When she woke up she was happy to see me and a little freaked out again. But when she stood up and headed for her horse she fell back to the ground unconscious. I ran to her and saw a dart. I turned around and a psycho man attacked me. He could bend his body any way he wants. It was sick. Well I fought him, but he hit me so that's how I got the wound."

He noticed Sophitia was a little mad. "Um Sophitia? Are you ok?" She growled. "Voldo."

"Who?"

"Voldo is an assassin from a slave master. He was trained to bend that way. His master wanted it like that. He usually guards the money pit and any intruder foolish enough to step on his turf will either die or be turned like him, but the most of them died during the process. But now he works for Nightmare."

Jaden nodded. He couldn't believe that a man like that even existed. "How many are working for Nightmare again?"

Sophitia shook her head. "Isn't important right now. What's important is to find a way to stop Soul Calibur from taking control over Alexis."

Jaden thought for a moment. "What if she wears the necklace? When Soul Calibur tries to take control over her again. It activates and stops it."

Sophitia looked at him. "Wow, didn't expect that from you." Jaden smiled. "Let's get you patched up and then we'll go and give her the necklace."

Alexis was alone in her tent, because she wanted some time alone. How could she control this power? And why was she chosen? She sighed slumping her head in her hands. Suddenly she heard something. Alexis looked around but saw nothing. There it was again. It was closer and it sounded like hissing.

She started to get nervous. "W-Who's there?" There was that hiss again. She slowly stood up and headed for her sword and shield, just to be sure. But as she wanted to pick them up something jumped on her.

She fell to the ground and felt something on her. She looked and saw a creepy man whose face was covered as some of his body.

She screamed.

Cassandra came to Sophitia and Jaden, checking if he was alright. "Hey Cassandra." Jaden smiled. She smiled back.

"How are you doing?"

"Good, we even found a way how to stop Soul Calibur from taking over Alexis." Jaden said.

Cassandra smiled. "Really?" Jaden nodded. "Yea, she just had to wear the necklace. So when Soul Calibur wants to take over the necklace will immediately stop it."

Cassandra was amazed. "Wow, never thought something like that could come out of you Jaden."

Sophitia smiled. "Thought the same thing."

Suddenly they heard a scream. Jaden shot up. "That was Alexis!"

Before Cassandra and Sophitia could blink, Jaden ran out of the tent. "Wow he's fast." Sophitia stated. Cassandra nodded. "Come on, let's go and help Alexis." She said while running out.

Alexis was scared. She never saw someone like this before. She wanted to get away from him, but he was right on top of her. He leaned his head closer to hers while hissing. Alexis turned her head away, but she still was scared.

She heard hissing again and looked at him. Her eyes went wide when she saw the knife in his hands. He grabbed her head and held the knife at her throat. Alexis closed her eyes as he cut in her neck slowly. He did that on purpose just to make her feel the pain. And it worked. The pain was excruciating. She couldn't take it any longer. The blood loss came to her and she blacked out right before something hit the assassin.

Jaden ran in Alexis' tent and froze. That assassin was cutting in Alexis' throat! That was it! He was mad to the top!

Cassandra and Sophitia came in as Jaden charged at the assassin. Jaden punched the assassin in the face and he stumbled back letting the knife fall to the ground.

Cassandra ran to Alexis as Jaden looked really pissed at the assassin. "Voldo." Jaden growled. "You have some guts coming back. And this time you are not going to be lucky." Cassandra noticed a tint of darkness in his voice, but who could blame him?

She checked on Alexis and saw blood trickling down her neck from the deep cut. This wasn't good at all. The wound looked really deep and she was losing a lot of blood. And that was a lot. If she just stayed there instead of leaving.

Jaden started to fight Voldo while Sophitia went out to call the others. They were out hunting for some food. Cassandra turned back to Alexis, but what she saw shocked her.

The deep cut was gone as all of the blood! What was going on?

Jaden dodged Voldo's attack and blocked the second, so he could into an opening. He was able to make a wound even if it was just minor but it didn't stop making him move like a freak. Jaden growled.

Voldo stroke at Jaden's head, but he blocked it in the last second. Jaden did a horizontal attack but Voldo went to the floor and slithered around Jaden's feet until he grabbed one of his legs and threw him over his shoulder to the ground.

Jaden moaned. Voldo jumped on him and pinned him down. He hissed while Jaden gritted his teeth.

Cassandra saw in what condition Jaden was and wanted to help him, but she heard something next to her. She turned around and saw that Alexis was gone.

Jaden looked at Voldo with disgust. Voldo hissed and grabbed his head and bend his body backwards. Jaden screamed out in pain. He was probably trying to break his bones.

Suddenly Voldo yelped in pain and let Jaden go. Voldo looked up and saw a sword penetrating his heart. The sword was pulled out and he fell to the ground.

Jaden was shocked when he saw Alexis in front of him. "A-Alexis?"

She scoffed. "You humans can't even fight right." Her eyes then went back to normal. She slumped down holding a hand against her head.

Alexis looked and saw that disgusting freak on the floor. She screamed. Somehow she felt the wound at her neck wasn't there.

Cassandra ran to her. "Alexis calm down."

"W-What is that t-thing? He tried to kill me!"

Suddenly Atticus bursted in with Sophitia and Siegfried. They saw the unconscious Voldo on the ground.

Atticus went to Alexis. "Are you ok?"

Alexis was still shocked from Voldo. "T-That t-thing…"

Cassandra tried to calm her. "Calm down Alexis."

"Calm down? CALM DOWN? How can I calm down?" She yelled. "That thing almost…"

Suddenly Siegfried hit her in the head and she fell unconscious.

"Siegfried!" Jaden and Atticus yelled.

"What? She was freaking out."

"Yea, but don't hit her in the head!" Atticus yelled at him.

"Sorry." Siegfried said. Atticus sighed. "What happened anyway?"

"Well I'm guessing it had to do with him." Chazz said motioning towards Voldo.

"What is that thing anyway?" Bastion asked.

Sophitia sighed. "That is Voldo. He's an assassin who works for his master, but now he works for Nightmare."

"But why kill her like that?" Jaden asked.

"Probably so she will feel the immense pain and torture her with it a little. He is known to torture people."

"But what happened?" Cassandra asked.

"I think Soul Calibur saved me. She insulted me but saved me." Jaden said a little confused himself.

"That's strange." Siegfried said.

Sophitia nodded. "Well Jaden it's best if you put the necklace around her." Jaden nodded and put the necklace around Alexis' neck.

"So who is going to explain her when she wakes up?" Siegfried asked.

"Not me!" Chazz, Bastion and Atticus yelled in unison. Sophitia looked at them. "Um…"

"Don't ask." Jaden said. "Don't worry guys, I'll explain her everything."

Cassandra nodded. "I'll help."

Atticus put Alexis back on her bed as Siegfried dragged the dead Voldo out, to not freak out Alexis when she wakes up.

Cassandra sat next to Jaden but was pulled back from Sophitia. She turned to her. "Let me check on your shoulder."

Cassandra nodded. She quickly looked at Jaden. "I'll be right back." Jaden nodded.

She went out with Sophitia. They went in a different tent where the medical stuff was. Cassandra sat down while Sophitia checked at her shoulder. She frowned, it didn't really heal. Well of course she fell to the ground, the knife in her shoulder and Tira stepping on it.

Cassandra sighed. "What now?" Sophitia grabbed a bandage. "I'll wrap a new one around it, but it doesn't look like its getting better."

Cassandra nodded. "Could you hurry up so I can get back to Jaden?" Sophitia nodded. "No problem."
