This is just a little something that came to me in a History test...

The garden of the Burrow had been transformed. There were white and pink flowers everywhere. Over to one side stood a white marquee filled with mostly empty tables.

It was late, around three in the morning. Most of the wedding party had left, except for a handful of young, drunk twenty-something's, schoolmates of the "happy couple".

The bride sat lonely in a corner. Her veil lay abandoned on the table beside her. A solitary tear track shone on her face. Her wedding dress had been transfigured into a comfy pair of tracksuit bottoms and a jumper. Her knees were curled under her chin.

This was not how Rose Weasley had planned to spend her wedding night. Every girl has the dream of a big white wedding, everyone smiling, clapping throwing confetti and of course, Prince Charming. Rose had all of that, but not the right man.

Her new husband, Lorcan, who she had yet to come to love, was far from her ideal man. He had to rush off to some emergency at work and had left her alone on their wedding day.

Rose's Prince Charming was someone else. Someone she could never have. Scorpius Malfoy had been her best friend from the day they met on the Hogwarts Express. At the end of fifth year, the inevitable, they became a couple.

They were together happily until Graduation. It was at their graduation that Mr Lucius Malfoy decided to tell his grandson that he had arranged a marriage for him. A marriage to a good, pure-blooded girl. A marriage that must take place, due to an Unbreakable Vow.

It broke Rose's heart. He pleaded with her to move on. To forget him.

She tried. Mostly she just hung around with Albus. Being the wallflower. Unnoticeable, quiet, still, closed off.

Then came Lorcan. He was another one of those guys she had known forever. He was kind, sweet, caring. But not Scorpius.

Then one day, weeks after Scorpius' perfect pureblood ceremony, Lorcan came to Rose with a question.

He wanted to marry her. Not particularly for love. His mother was dying, and her last wish was to see him settled down with a wife. She agreed, thinking it would be good to move on.

She never really did though.

She still loved Scorpius.
