I couldn't speak. They wanted me to be apart of their family? Me? Plain old Isabella Swan? Whaaat? Am I hearing this clearly? Or was I dreaming? If I am, don't pinch me.

"W-what?" I stuttered, feeling completely stupid.

Carlisle smiled gently at me, "Do you want to be apart of our family, Bella?" he repeated.

Oh, so I did hear it correctly! Well duh Sherlock, you have super hearing! What was I thinking? Psshhh. I wasn't thinking. I can be so stupid sometimes. Oh, they're waiting for my answer! What the heck? Bella! Yeah? SPEAK! Oh, okay!

A huge smile spread across my face and I launched myself right at Carlisle and yelled, "YES YES YES! Are you kidding me? Of course I want to be apart of your family!" everyone laughed at me. I pulled away from Carlisle and he saw that I had tears of joy in my eyes, he gently wiped them away, and kissed my forehead, and stood up, "Well, I'm going to go finish the paperwork." he said with a smile. "Why don't you go to your room and pack?" he suggested.

"OKAY!" I yelled. "Come'on guys!" I yelled again while taking Alice's and Emmet's hand, dragging them towards my room. Edward, Rosalie and Jasper followed closely behind laughing at me.

When we reached my room, I ran to my bed and starting jumping up and down yelling, "I'm getting adopted!" over and over again. Edwards, Alice, Emmett, Rosalie and Jasper were all still standing at the door laughing at me.

"What are you guys doing out there?" I asked. "Come in!" I yelled while gesturing for them to come in. They laughed at me again.

Alice went straight to my closet to look at my clothes. Jasper went to the corner of my room to look at my bookshelf. I had a lot of books on there. He picked up one of my favorite civil war books and held it up, "May I?" he asked. "Sure!" I replied enthusiastically. He sat down on the floor indian style and started to read. I turned towards the door to see Emmett looking around my room, he saw a bean bag at the side of the door and plopped down onto it. I giggled. He turned to me and winked. Rosalie was looking at my walls. It was full of cut out pictures of cars. "You have great taste in cars, Bella." she said to me with a smile. "Thanks!" I said happily. She saw my car album on my table and looked at the cover for a moment. "Can I see?" she asked. "Of course!" I said. She smiled at me and picked it up. Edward walked towards my bed and asked, "Mind if I sit here?" I scooted over to the side and patted on the bed and gestured for him to sit down. "You know," I said, getting everyones attention, "You guys don't have to keep asking for my permission!" I said. "Just make yourself at home like Emmett!" I continued cheerfully. Everyone smiled at me while Emmett laughed loudly. "Man, I love this kid!" he said loudly. I smiled at him.

I sat down on my bed and looked at everyone, and than it hit me. I was getting adopted. I never thought I would get adopted. Everyone thought that I was weird. The girls always thought that because I never wear dresses or skirts and the boys never wanted to play with a girl who reads books all the time. I never had friends besides Annie, Alex and Drake. But now, I was getting a real family! A real mommy and daddy! And four awesome brothers and sisters! I would be apart of this beautiful family. They could have chose Annie, Alex, or even Drake, but they didn't. They chose me. I smiled.

"Bella?" I turned to see Edward looking at me, worried. "Are you okay?" he asked.

I smiled wider. "I'm great! I'm fantastic! Wonderful! Over the moon! Pick one!" I said cheerfully. Everyone chuckled at me and Edward smiled.

"I was just worried, you zoned out a little." he said. Eyes full of concern.

"I was just thinking that I'm finally getting a family. I real family!" I yelled the last part enthusiastically while clapping my hands together. Alice, Jasper, Emmett and Rosalie all turned to me with smiles. They stared at me with hopeful expressions.

Jasper was the first one to recover. "Welcome to the family little sis." he said with a smile. He got up and walked towards me to give me a hug, I hugged him back. Little sis I thought to myself. I could get used to that. I smiled. Rosalie came to hug me next, "Welcome to the family." she said, kissing my forehead. She seems so motherly! I thought, again. Emmett picked me up, threw me in the air, and spun me around the room while yelling, "You're the best Belly! Welcome to the family Bellsie!" I couldn't stop giggling. He was like a big teddy bear! "Emmett, be careful!" Edward yelled. "Awww, Eddie, you spoil my fun." Emmett pouted, causing me to giggle even more. "See! Belly likes it!" he continued. I giggled at my new nickname. Edward rolled his eyes at him. Emmett put me back down on the bed, and I hugged his neck for a moment and kissed his cheek. Emmett smiled triumphantly at me and stuck his tongue out at Edward. Edward ignored him and came to hug me next, he kissed my cheek and whispered, "Welcome to the family, Bella." I blushed and looked down. Stupid blush. Alice came over to hug me and said, "OOOH! This is going to be so much fun! I get to buy you clothes-" I winced at that. Everyone saw me winced and they chuckled, Alice ignored me and kept going, "and shoes, and make up, and handbags, and earrings-" I winced at every girly thing she said. By now, Emmett and Jasper were on the floor clutching their stomaches, laughing so hard that their laughter was booming through the house. "and toys-" she continued. "TOYS?" I yelled interrupting her. I may be older mentally, but I am a six year old at heart. Everyone laughed at me. "I GET TOYS!" I shouted jumping up and down the the bed while doing a small victory dance and sang, "Oh yeah, uh huh, I get toys, you don't!"

At that moment, Carlisle and Esme walked into the room and saw me on the bed. They grinned. "Bella, honey, what are you doing?" Esme asked, amused. Oh, crap. I thought. "I-I uhhh…" I stuttered. "I'm jumping on my bed singing 'Oh yeah, uh huh, I get toys, you don't' while doing a small victory dance?" I said with a sheepish smile while shrugging one of my shoulders. They laughed at me.

"Thank you, thank you very much." I said imitating Elvis Presley while doing his signature hand sign and winked at them. This just made everyone laugh louder. Alice joined Jasper and Emmett on the floor clutching their stomaches, laughing.

"I LOVE THIS KID!" Emmett and Jasper yelled together. They looked at each other for a moment and started laughing again.

"Okay okay," Carlisle said while trying to hold in his own laughter. I giggled. "Are you done packing, Bella?" he asked.

Before I could even answer, Alice yelled, "YEP!"

"What?" I asked. "Thats was fast!" I continued. They laughed at me. What's so funny about that? I thought. Am I missing a joke or something? Huh. Guess I'll never know.

"Okay then, Bella, are you ready to go?" Carlisle asked with a smile.

My smile faded a little. "Can I say goodbye to Claire and my friends first?" I asked in a small voice.

"Sure, sweetie." Esme said with a gentle smile. "We'll be waiting for you in the living room." she continued. And they left carrying my stuff with them.

I walked towards the boys room and saw that Annie was with them. I knocked on the door and they jumped. I laughed. When my laughter subsided, I said, "Hey guys, I just wanted to say goodbye."

Annie was the first one to jump to her feet and ran towards me and gave me hug. "I'm gonna miss you so much, Bella!" she yelled into my ear. I laughed and hugged her back. "I'm gonna miss you too." I said. "Promise you'll e-mail me!" she said while jabbing a finger at me. "Of course I will!" I said.

Drake came next to hug me. "Hey, Bells, I know we're not really close but I'm really going to miss you." he said. "I'm going to miss you too." I smiled.

Alex was next and he grabbed me by the shoulders and hugged me to him tightly. "I'm really really really going to miss you, Bells." he said into my hair. His voice was muffled. I hugged him just as tight. "I'm going to miss you too, Alex." I whispered to him. We pulled back. He stuck his pinky out, "Promise not to forget me?" he said with a weak smile. I chuckled. He had tears in his eyes. I was crying too. I laced my pinky to his and said, "Promise." He hugged me once more and let me go.

"Group hug!" Annie yelled suddenly. I laughed through my tears and hugged everyone once more. We were all crying now, laughing through our tears. We pulled away after a moment. I smiled at them.

"Bye guys." I said one last time before turning around and went down to the kitchen.

Claire was busy making lunch for everyone. "Hey Claire." I said. She turned around and smiled at me. "Hey, Bella!" she said, "Can I help you with anything?" she asked. I smiled gently. "No, I just wanted to say goodbye and thanks for everything you did for me." I whispered to her. She kneeled in front of me and gave me a gentle hug. "No worries, Bella!" she said, "That's what sisters are for right?" she continued. I nodded. This made me cry. I was really going to miss Claire. "Hey hey hey, don't cry! You can always call me." she said trying to soothe me. "Yeah." I croaked out. "Now go on! Your new family is waiting for you!" she pushed me towards the door. I chuckled through my tears. I turned around to look at her, "Thanks Claire, I love you." I said. "You're welcome, Bella. And, I love you too." she replied. I gave her one last hug and went to the living room.

Everyone was there waiting for me patiently. When they saw me, they all stood up. Edward came to my side and took my hand.

"Are you ready?" he asked while looking down at me. I smiled at him.

"Yeah." I said.

"Come'on!" Alice yelled happily . We laughed at her excitement. We followed her to the door and got in the car. Alice, Rosalie and I went in to sit in the backseat with me seating in between them while Jasper, Emmett and Edward sat in the row in front of us. Carlisle was driving and Esme was sitting at the passengers seat.

Carlisle turned in his seat to look at me and said, "Are you ready, Bella?"

"Yes." I answered with a smile. He smiled back at me. He turned around and started the car and drove away from the orphanage.

And, I was ready. Ready for a fresh start. Ready for a new life. Ready for new friends. And, ready to share my life with my new family.

I was going home.
