We returned to the house to find everybody sitting in the living room surrounded by their luggage.
"Kate's already gone." Alice announced.
"So why is everyone else packed up?" I asked.
"We're leaving too. Whether you two want to come with us is up to you two." Rose said.
The pillar of smoke was already gone from Tanya's body. There were no ashes on the beach so someone must have cleaned them up and moved them.
"I already told you guys they're coming with us. I already packed you two up. Your bags are in your room on your bed. We'll be waiting in the boats." Alice said.
We ran to our room and grabbed our bags and met everyone at the boats. We rode with Jasper and Alice again. Of course Emmett wanted to race. Emmett, Jasper and Eleazar raced back to Rio and Emmett lost again. I thought he was about ready to flip the boat when we got back to the docks.
Is anyone mad at me? I asked Edward.
He looked left slightly then back to the right then turn his head forward. I knew that meant he was shaking his head. I sighed. That relieved some of my guilt. I did feel guilty. But I wasn't sorry. I wasn't sorry in the least.
We drove to the airport and boarded our private plane. After we took off and the seatbelt sign went off I took mine off and scooted over so I was sitting in Edward's lap.
"No one is mad at you, love." Edward whispered. "Esme and Carlisle are a little disappointed about what happened but everybody else don't really seem to be bothered about it."
"As long as they're not mad that's fine." I said.
After a few hours our plane landed in Denali. We said goodbye to Carmen, Eleazar, and Kate and then made our way back home.
Me and Edward took his Volvo to go get Renesmee before we went home.
Edward parked the Volvo in front of the house and we both walked up to the door. I knocked lightly and waited. I heard Charlie grunt as he heaved himself off the couch to answer the door.
He opened it slightly then pulled it open all the way when he saw it was us.
"Hey kids. You're home early. I wasn't expecting you two for a couple of weeks." He said letting us inside.
"Hi, Dad. Our vacation as kind of cut short due to a mishap…" I explained.
"Well that's alright. At least I got to spend time with my granddaughter. Never get used to saying that…" He muttered the last part quietly.
"So where's Nessie?" I asked.
I was kind of expecting her to answer the door with Charlie or at least run down the stairs when she heard us come in. I know she can hear us. Her hearing is almost as good as a full vampire's.
"She's up in your old room takin a nap." He said pointing over his shoulder towards the stairs.
"I'll go get her." I said heading towards the stairs.
I climbed the stairs and made my way to my room. Sure enough Renesmee was curled into a ball underneath my purple quilt. I smiled to myself and began cleaning up.
I packed up her bag then carefully picked her up trying not to wake her. She woke up slightly and said "Mamma." She placed her hand on my cheek trying to show me what her and Grandpa did while we were gone but she fell back asleep and her hand slipped away from my face. I laughed slightly and grabbed her bag before going downstairs.
I walked in the living room to find Charlie sitting on his recliner and Edward sitting on the couch. I set Nessie's bag down by the couch and went to sit next to Edward.
I moved Nessie so she was more comfortable and turned to Charlie.
"So how was she?" I asked.
"A perfect angel." He said smiling. "I'd babysit her anytime."
"That's good." I said rubbing her hair.
"I think you guys rushed her a little bit." He said.
"Rushed her? What do you mean?" I couldn't help but feel a little panicked.
"She had me rush her back to your house about two or three times a day 'cause she forgot something." He clarified.
She's drinking more blood. I noted lifting my shield.
Edwards head twitched slightly from my peripheral vision. He nodded.
"Oops. We were running a little late. I guess we should have checked to make sure we got everything." I lied smoothly.
"It's alright. I was just surprised at how many times she needed to go back."
At least Charlie didn't suspect anything. As far as I knew anyway. We stayed to chat with Charlie for a little while longer but then we decided to get Nessie home.
As soon as we got home and I pulled her out of the car she woke up.
"Mommy!" She smiled and adjusted herself so she could wrap her arms around my neck to hug me.
"Hi, Sweetie." I hugged her to me as I sat down on the couch in the living room. "Did you have fun with Grandpa Charlie?"
She smiled and nodded and moved her hand to my cheek to show me what her and Grandpa did. It really didn't look that exciting to me. It reminded me basically of what Charlie used to do with me when I was a little girl; watch T.V. and eat. Renesmee didn't really mind though she just enjoyed spending time with her grandpa.
The directions of her thoughts suddenly turned and I felt a burn in my throat. She was thirsty.
I got up and left her on the couch so that I could prepare her a cup of blood although I was certain she knew how to do it considering she had Charlie drive her home so many times.
I handed her the blood and she began sucking on it but then she looked up at me seriously.
"How long did it take for you to kill Tanya?" She asked.
I looked at her in shock.
"What?" I managed to ask.
"Aunt Alice said there was a very good chance that you guys would be home early cause you were gonna kill Tanya." Renesmee said taking small sips of her blood.
"Thanks for ratting me out, kid!" Alice yelled from upstairs.
Renesmee giggled. "Since everyone's home early I kind of figured you killed Tanya."
I sighed. "I killed her earlier today." I wasn't going to lie to my daughter. Especially if she had an evil little pixie on her side that would tell her things anyway. I planned on burning half of her wardrobe as payback.
"DON'T YOU DARE, BELLA!" She hissed.
I smiled but couldn't help but roll my eyes.
"How'd ya do it?" Renesmee asked, her eyes burning with curiosity.
"Renesmee, you don't need to worry about it." I was shocked at how she was taking the fact her mother killed another vampire.
I guess Edward was right, no one really cared. Not even my four year old daughter.
"Go drink that in the kitchen." I told her.
She smiled and skipped into the kitchen to talk with Esme.
Edward came down the stairs then and took Renesmee's spot next to me on the couch.
He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me into him.
"I told you that you didn't no one cared." He whispered.
"You weren't kidding. Not even our four year old daughter cares. She just wanted details." I said in disbelief.
"At least we won't have to deal with Tanya anymore." He said trying to brighten my mood.
"Thank god." I said.
We would never have to deal with her again.
That's how I'm ending it because I don't really know how to go on and I want to start writing another story and it is way too hard to write two stories at once. So if you're not satisfied with the ending sorry but that's just how it's going to end.
