Later on...
After all of that, tommorow comes- aka. the day of the Fullmoon Festival.
Everyone gathers in the meeting room of Shining Advent to listen to the two leaders' announcements, anxious for what's to come.
"Sweet. Now, I expect you're all excited for the festival like I am, because this year's going to be huge. In fact, me and Attemi wanted to greet you to this year's mascots, along with two other interesting people." Lelus proclaimed.
"Huh? Really? What are they like?" Haku asked, raising her hand in the air.
"Yeah. You've actually caught my attention- that's not an easy thing to do." Neru said, doing the same thing.
"Well, how about they introduce themselves to us? Miss Tone Rion and guests, please show yourself!" Attemi requested.
At her word, a girl teleported in, doing a somersault and landing on the ground, accompanied by three other companions. Upon doing so, she turned to face everyone, waving hi.
She had purple hair tied into ponytails, a pink beret, Vocaloid earphones, fingerless gloves, an elaborate pink minidress, pink heeled boots that went up to her knees, a sea angel barette, luminiscient blushes, a giant metallic green waistbow, purple eyes, and green gems adorned on her body.
Accompanying her was a man with pale-white skin, yellow eyes, wearing a black coat and pants with pink markings, pink hair, black gloves, a sullen look upon his face, two beam sword handles on near his pockets, and wore a dark violet scarf with two parts.
The third one who was among them was another girl with pink hair tied into swirls on the sides of her head, faded eyes, white flowing trenchcoat with pink undercoloring, a pink miniskirt, black socks that went up to her knees, white shoes, pink fingernails, and wore black fingerless gloves.
Finally, the last one who was with them was a beautiful woman with large pink hair, yellow eyes, fluffy cat ears and tail, Vocaloid earphones with laser antennae much like the ones Lelus and Attemi have but with a green color, a black biker coat, a blue and purple top, black fingernails, a purple choker, black leather pants with a belt adorned with hearts, and heeled boots that went up to her knees.
"Hello, everyone! It's so nice to meet you all!" Tone Rion said, still waving.
"Likewise." The other girl said, bowing.
"... Looks like we got another strange one here." Miku grumbled, talking about Tone Rion.
"Oh, come on, Miku. At least give her a chance." Luka defended.
"If you say so." She mumbled, looking away.
"... I just realized, they're all wearing pink in some way. Coincidence? I think not." Rin pointed out, whispering to Len.
"Hey, well I think they look cool.`I wonder if it's a theme they're doing." Len questioned.
"Now, these four are people who are going to be helping us with the Festival. This girl is known as Tone Rion, one of our two mascots for this year. She's a famous singer much like you guys are, but her popularity is a bit different, as she travels around a lot. The man next to her is her bodyguard, a well-known mercenary-for-hire called VY2, or as known by his real name, Yuuma." Lelus stated.
"Yeah. You see, we've been traveling with each other for a long time, and I've really grown to him, so I can't let him go. Now, before you get any bad implications from that, it's really because I owe him my life for this one time, which I really think helped us become close." Tone explained.
"... Yep, pretty much." Yuuma replied.
"Ah... So you two are friends, right?" Miku asked.
"Yep! In all of our travels, there's no one else we've met who could be closer than the two of us! Although, I'm not really sure about that, but hey! We're best buddies, and nothing's ever going to change that." Tone replied, smiling inexplicably.
"... Tone, I like you, but I swear, sometimes it feels like you're drunk on happiness; it's really obnoxious. Now, my job is to make sure that she's safe from any danger. For me, I don't care about the money, but since this girl is my only concrete companion, I'll protect her with my life and from anyone, even if it's all of you." Yuuma warned.
"Jeez... He's real dedicated." Meiko mumbled.
"He's threatening, that's for sure." Kaito said in reply.
"Oooh.. Calm down, there, tiger. Now, moving on, I'll let your leaders explain who I am." The woman said, putting her hand on his shoulder.
"Oh, uh, yes. This lady is a real surprise- I actually didn't expect her to visit. In fact, I haven't seen her in the longest time." Lelus said.
"She's a very important person, as she's Mewna Trebela, another Ultima Vocaloid just like Lelus and me. Not only that, you could say we're... related." Attemi said.
"Related? How?" Gumi asked.
"I'm their sister from a long, long time ago, sugar. I haven't been here for ages, and I've wanted to see how my two younger siblings were doing." Mewna replied.
"Sister? I never knew that our leaders had more family members." Miku said.
"Welp, now you do, sweetie. N' from what I've been told, let me say that you lot seem like a bunch of hardworking noble boys and girls! I never expected my bro or sis to actually do anything like this, so I'm impressed." Mewna praised.
"Ah... thank you, miss Mewna." Luka said.
"It's an honor. Thank you, miss." Gakupo said, bowing.
The others returned her affections as well, in their own ways.
"Aw... don't be thankin' me. You all deserve it. Now, I'm going to help with your little fair here, so be grateful, y'hear? I'm usually a very busy lady." Mewna stated.
"Right, and with that said, here's our last guest and the other mascot. Her name is Arcenia, and she's a princess from the kingdom of Librata, located far beyond Crypton Province and even the Outer Plains. She's also here to serve as an emissary for her kingdom, so please treat her kindly." Attemi said.
"It's a pleasure to make all of your acquientences! I hope I have a wonderful time being here with all of you. But it's kind of sad my brothers and sisters didn't get to come too, but oh well." Arcenia said.
Right afterwards, Len raised his hand for a question.
"Yes, what is it, Len?" Lelus said.
"Well, it's just... what's wrong with your eyes? How come they're faded in like that?" He asked, only to be met with an angry Rin staring him down.
"Oh, that? I was born blind!" Arcenia stated, much to mostly everyone's surprise.
"What? If you can't see, then how are you able to tell where we are, sweetie?" Luka pointed out.
"I'm also psychic. You see, I can't use my eyes, but my parents attempted to compensate for that by tapping into.. forbidden sources, asking our neighboring dark kingdom for help on this. The fruit of our efforts summoned a crazy demon jellyfish that nearly destroyed us all, but after we killed it, we learned that I had gained enhanced senses, being able to detect things in all directions and a few other quirks." Arcenia said.
"So, how dangerous was it?" Len asked.
"Len, you idiot- She just said a demon jellyfish nearly killed everyone!" Rin said.
"Oops.. sorry." He said, smiled nervously.
"Oh, never mind it. Either way, I hope we have a great time together!" Arcenia chirped, smiling.
"And that concludes our guests. Everyone, you're dismissed. Get ready and go to the festival today!" Attemi said.
"You know I'm gone." Lelus said, teleporting into a different room.
"Ah! Brother, wait for me!" Attemi said, going after him.
Meanwhile, as everyone left towards the lobby...
"I kind of like Arcenia. She reminds me of her brother." Miku muttered.
"Still, I wonder how her life at home is like...? If what she told us now is any indication, then I want to stay by her side and keep her safe." Luka said.
"Oh, come on, Luka. She just as old as me and looks like she's more capable, plus she just said she was psychic. I think that's enough of a clue that she's not a baby." Miku said.
"But... Oh, okay, if you say so. By the way... did I sense some jealousy in that sentence?" Luka pointed out.
"..! No you didn't. You're just imagining things." Miku said, blushing.
"Oops, did I hit a nerve?" Luka said, smiling.
"I.. you- stop it. It's not funny." Miku muttered, getting visibly annoyed.
"Oh, wow, apparantly you can't stand to share me with just anyone, can you?" Luka said, starting to snicker.
"I'm not some selfish brat, okay?! And I'm NOT jealous! What's with you, Luka?!" Miku yelled, angry.
"Ah! I was just kidding, Miku. It's okay." Luka stated, dropping her teasing and putting her hand on Miku's shoulder.
"Aghhh... Don't do that. I'm not very interested right now." Miku mumbled, looking the other way.
"Miku, I'm starting to worry about you. You've been moody since last night. What's this about? Is there something wrong?" Luka asked.
"I don't know, alright? It's just... Ever since, I've just had this terrible feeling in the back of my neck. It's been bothering me a lot." Miku stated.
"Really? How come?" Luka asked.
"I don't know. I've had this disturbingly clear nightmare about a cloaked entity that snuck into the base at the dead of night. They had piercing blue eyes and carried a golden scythe just like one of the Kagamine twins- Rin in particular. From what I remember, they marched into your room first..." Miku explained.
"Hmm... Miku, this sounds incredibly ominous. Tell me, was there anything else about this entity that you remember?" Luka asked, feeling apprehensive.
"Ugh... After that, I heard you scream. I had gotten out of bed to see what happened, but then I encountered our 'intruder'. As I was about to ask what they were doing here, they asked me 'if I wanted to know how much I love them.' I don't know exactly what they meant, but then they presented your decapitated head to me- your expression was so... sad. I couldn't sleep for quite a while after that." Miku kept on, looking unnerved.
Luka was terrified beyond all reasoning at first, but then she started to shape up and try to calm Miku down. She put her hand on Miku's shoulder and looked her directly in the eyes.
"You must have had quite a nightmare, Miku. And based on your description, it seems you couldn't bear to see me die. And personally, I wouldn't want to see me die too." Luka pointed out.
"Uh-huh... So, what do you make of my dream?" Miku mumbled.
"You see, Miku, dreams are like premonitions to people skilled with the Luna element. Dreams like the one you had last night could represent a very twisted fate for that specific person... or it could be completely false. So personally, I don't want you to be worrying about it anymore, okay sweetie?" Luka proposed.
"Oh, okay... If anything, it might have just been a nightmare. I just need some fun and games to clear my mind of it, that's all." Miku smiled.
"Attagirl. Now, how about I get you some cotton candy when we get to the festival?" Luka offered.
"How could I refuse an offer like that?" Miku laughed, with Luka doing the same.
