2 Chapter 4

Before I can see the crowd I can already hear them. The screams and shouts as they see their favourite districts drive by and as they call out their names.

Then I see the crowd of nearly a few thousand people and begin to feel quite sick. No, not because I don't like crowds, quite the opposite really. But because of the fact that they love us now, cheer for us. But when we die they won't give it a second thought.

I still smile and grin though and I can hear them chanting my name as if in unison, I can hear the longing in their voice (especially the girls) and feel sick. Do they actually Want me? The capitol must be sicker than I though.

I can hear district 5 riding on behind us so some attention is diverted but District 4 seems to be the apple of their eye. Especially me.

Then we stop and president snow makes his signature speech ending with as always

'May the Odds Be Ever In Your Favor'

Then finally we are directed to our rooms and we are in an elevator with the girl from 3, who I think I remember being called Cable.

She is around the same age as me, with long black hair and blue eyes with ashen skin.

Finally we reach the 4th floor and I'm being directed around an area that is as large as the District 4 square.

Then In my room (which I have to say, is about as large as my house at home) I explore and have a few snacks.

In about half an hour we are being called to dinner and I manage to scoff down three plates of some delicious beef with ginger, vegetables and sauce on wild rice. Then afterwards I pick of bits of creamy goat cheese.

It's so good even Spring manages a plate and a bit.

Then the Avoxes bring something and I can hardly believe my eyes when I see the dish,

It's a speciality in District 4, something I can hardly afford. It's called ice cream, I think. It's icy cold and sweet, mine is plain white and looks so clean and white I don't really want to eat it. But in the end my stomach gives in and find myself really enjoying the vanilla taste.

Then finally I flop myself down on my bed and my stomach full of food I fall fast asleep,
