One day, the King Xerxes was freshening up for his new Queen, Esther. But then a pea came and when asked by the King who he is, he says, "I am Bigthan! Your royal chef!"

The King then said, "Well, what are you doin' here? I don't remember invitin'..." He was interrupted when Bigthan said "Every newlywed needs a cake! No?" and showed him a wedding cake he brought to honor him.

The King was astonished. "Oh my! That's lovely! Did you make it for me?" But Bigthan saw another pea (which would soon be his brother) holding up a large rope, and answered the King, "Oui!"

"Oh, you shouldn't have! It looks delicious! Why don't you bring me over a piece?"

Bigthan got nervous and said, "Well, you know, I was thinking... you could come over here to eat the cake."

The King then said, "Well, why would I need to do that? I always eat on my throne."

Bigthan then said, "Oh, King! It's the light! The light in this spot is just right! You can only appreciate this wonderful masterpiece in the proper light!" he said with a smile.

The King, thinking about this, said, "Hmm... the light, huh? Well, that makes sense I guess. I guess I'll come over there..." and hopped off his throne and proceeded toward the cake. But right at that moment, Esther and Haman walked in, and Haman, upon noticing Bigthan, asked who he was. Bigthan responded "I am the royal chef!"

"I've never seen you," said Haman.

"I'm, uh, new."

The King told Haman "He made me a cake. Isn't that nice?"

Mordecai was hiding in the corner and saw what Bigthan was really trying to do. He told Esther to come over to him and whispered in her ear about the plot. Bigthan's brother was really holding up a piano suspended above the cake.

"Did you tell him what could happen to someone who appeared before you uninvited?"

"Well... no. I was too busy thinkin' about that cake. I mean, doesn't it look yummy?" the King said, and Bigthan hopped out of the way smiling evilly.

Esther gasped and said, "STOP! IT'S A TRAP!" Bigthan's brother finally let go and the piano crashed onto the cake... and, sadly, the King as well.

Everyone was horrified, but Bigthan was smiling and was glad that he and his brother succeeded in killing the King. His brother then fell onto the ground and shook his head to wake himself up. Then they both snickered evilly under their breaths with evil smiles on their faces.
