Goodbye Humpty
One fine morning, Shrek, Donkey, and Puss went out for a walk. Eventually, they went past the graveyard and Puss saw a gravestone that looked too familar to him.
"Amigos. Stop," Puss said.
"What is it, Puss?" asked Donkey.
"I see something in the graveyard."
"Well then, what is it? A gravestone?" Donkey asked.
"Not just any gravestone, this one is one that I know too well. Let's go see it."
So the three of them entered the graveyard and went over to the gravestone Puss wanted to see.
"What's it say, Puss?" asked Donkey.
"It says 'Humpty Dumpty'!" Puss said, thus shocking Donkey and Shrek.
"Humpty Dumpty? Isn't that your friend from before?"
"Yes it is, boss. The gravestone of my life-long friend Humpty Alexander Dumpty. I just had to see this and say goodbye to him because..." Puss was interrupted by a couple of tears running down his furry cheeks. "...I miss him a lot..." Puss said, his voice kinda shakey.
"Ohh. Well, I wish your friend farewell, too," Donkey said, feeling so sorry for his feline pal.
"Same here," said Shrek, who started looking sad as well.
Puss then removed his hat from his head and began his farewell to Humpty: "Humpty, my old friend, I just wanted to say goodbye. I really miss you and all the things we used to do together as if we were brothers, like invent things. And I also miss Kitty. She was such a nice and beautiful woman. I will never forget all those good times the three of us had together. That is all." He finished with a nod and putting his hat back on.
He then let out a sigh and said, "Let's go now, amigos," as he turned around to leave. Shrek and Donkey then sighed in unison and soon followed Puss out of the graveyard and back home.
"Um, Puss? Who is this Kitty you was talkin' about?" Donkey asked as he was leaving alongside Shrek. But as they were, a dark shadow that resembled Kitty was seen watching the whole thing from the trees. It then whispered, "Poor Puss," and left.
