9 Chapter 1: Welcome to Carmichael

Hello, hello fellow Smosh-lovers(: Today, I'm attempting my first try at a Smosh fic. I wrote this last month and was putting it off until I finished my Twilight and Hunger Games fanfics, but I couldn't wait that long:L This upload wasn't planned until... eh... a half an hour ago when I was editing this chapter:P Just so we all know, this is an IanXOC and AnthonyXOC fic, so we'll be seeing p.o.v's from all four:3 confusing? Probably. If there are any problems with my writing, feel free to tell me:L One last thing: I don't own anything from Smosh- quotes, video ideas, themselves... If I did... You don't wanna know what I'd do. XD Oh, and Alise's name is pronounced as 'Alice' and Emiline sounds just how it's spelled. ONTO THE FANFICTION!

It's not all that bad…

-A Smosh fanfic-

'Running and hiding would make it too easy for him to catch me. To escape, I'll have to move on with my life.'

Chapter One: Welcome to Carmichael

-Alise-

"Oh c'mon, Emi!" I honk my horn at my friend in the car ahead of me. She knows I'm probably the world's worst driver… not to mention I've got a horrible patience. She's slowing down on purpose, that little brat…

Oh, please excuse me- I'm Alise Sevina, Morgan's the middle name. My friend, Emiline McCloy, and I were moving from our hometown of Orangevale to Carmichael, a nice place where both of our new occupations were located. Mine, a cute little corner bakery in the middle of town, and Emi's, a coaching job at a gymnastics facility a little out of town.

Moving in would be so easy IF IT WEREN'T FOR MY SLOW-ASS FRIEND! Agh!

Finally, after a drive that took some time, we'd arrived at our new house we'd be sharing as roommates. It was a cute little place, tan on the outside- with a couple of garden plants still left out from its last owner, they needed to be watered… and uprooted… and cremated… But that problem can be easily solved!

I park the car and take the keys out, then proceed to open the door. It was so cramped in my little pale-yellow beetle. Mother of God… I could've died in there! …Yikes… After I stretched out my arms and legs, I walked to the trunk and opened it and one of my boxes marked 'clothes-winter' tumbled out of the hatch and onto the ground before me. Great. I can tell this day is gonna be fantastic. Note the sarcasm.

"Tell me when I'm at the door!" I hear Emi's high-pitched voice demand me. My head turns in her direction. She's carrying two boxes of hers that are stacked on top of each other. They were obstructing her view.

The sight was quite silly, actually. Little Emiline, standing at only five-foot-four, hauling along two cardboard boxes that towered over her head. It's so ironic that she's the older one and yet I'm still taller by a good couple of inches.

I'm still short, though…

My reaction wasn't fast enough, as I suddenly see Emi tripping over the door entrance. The boxes go flying out in front of her, into the front room of the house, and she lands face-first, now sprawled out on the ground. I rush over to her, and help her up. She dusts off the navy blue Pikachu shirt she was wearing, and fixes her glasses.

"I told you to-" She begins to scold me, but I interrupt her.

"Jeeze, jeeze, woman. Calm that," I say, referring to herself, "Down. We haven't even begun moving in yet, and the neighbors are all going to hate our guts if you don't shut it."

Emi lets out a puff of air, and picks up her belongings that she had literally thrown into the house. I shrug and walk back over to my car, picking up two of my own boxes and begin dragging them inside.

When I step into the house, the first thing I notice is how open it is, with a whole huge part of the home all combined into one room. The sliding glass door guiding itself into the overly-green backyard is what caught my attention. But I quickly shook it off, 'Putting all of my stuff away is my top priority right now. Then I can explore.' I mentally tell myself.

"…There. Finally done."

I was quite impressed with myself. Considering I like to procrastinate a huge lot, I managed to get my unpacking done in a decent amount of time.

…Of course Emiline is a different story… Damn girl and her OCD.

There's a knock on the front door, and I tell Emi that I'll answer it. I don't get a reply from her, so I infer that she's still putting away her things. Although I wouldn't doubt it.

As the door opened, I see Evan, Emi's older brother (and one of my exes), standing there, grinning away. In the driveway, I see a small moving van parked. Oh good, our other furniture is here!

"Hi Ev!" I say happily. I may or may not still have feelings for him… But I don't say anything, seeing as though we broke up in my junior year of high school. "Come on in!" I can feel a smile spread across my face, something that often happens when I'm in his presence.

"'S a pretty nice place you guys got." He comments, "Where's Emi?" Ev asks. I jab my thumb in the direction of her room, where she still was. He ventures off over there, and I walk out of the house, over to the truck. As I move towards my destination, I hear a car door open and then shut, I whip my head around to see who it was. Some dark-haired guy across the street. Heh, well, looks like we aren't the only young people in the neighborhood. That's nice.

I open the back of the truck and jump in, making sure every article of furniture that we wanted to come with was inside. Yup. My eyes catch a small box that has a neon pink-colored piece of duct tape across the top. It's labeled 'Alise's… things'. I gasp in gleefulness. My artwork! Ev remembered to bring them along! I grasp the box tightly, assuring that it wouldn't drop to the ground, killing my drawings, and jump out the back. Just then, Evan and Emi walk out of the house.

"-I'm telling you, she's gonna freak when she finds the box."

Emiline giggles, "I wouldn't doubt it, Ev. Not one bit."

I come barreling through them and hurriedly push myself into the house, totally ignoring my two friends standing at the doorway.

After I finished putting my notebooks and drawing pads away, I hear two extra voices in the living room. We've gotten a couple visitors here and there today, so I'm not really surprised that there would be other people over. Right before I step out of my room, I fix my loose, reddish-brown curls. I love my hair, I really do. But it's always getting in the damn way when I don't have it pinned back.

I finally walk out of the room and see our visitors' faces. I had immediately recognized the taller one as the guy I'd seen earlier. Hey, he was pretty cute. Score! We moved in by a hot guy!

"Ah! There you are, Alise! This is Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox, they live across the street from us." Emi introduced us.

"Oh, hi!" I say, sticking my hand out, "Alise Sevina, nice to meet you!"

-Anthony-

"…Now I wonder where she went off to…" The short, blonde-haired girl, Emiline, led off. I looked over at Ian, he just shrugged.

Just then, a girl with green eyes and curly hair walked in, "Ah! There you are, Alise! This is Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox, they live across the street from us." The girl, who we know now is Alise, smiles and sticks out her hand.

"Alise Sevina, nice to meet you!"

We shake hands, "I'm Anthony." A cute little blush takes over her cheeks.

"-And I'm Ian, but don't pay any attention to Anthony, 'cause he's weird." Alise laughs, it's a sound so mesmerizing…

"So what brings you to this sorry town?" I ask the two girls. The taller guy, Evan, who looks a ton like little Emiline, (Possibly her brother? The resemblance is terrifying) leans against the wall, arms over his chest.

Alise smiles, dimples take place in her rosy cheeks, "It's not that bad, if I do say so myself." She admits, "But anyway, both of us were looking for jobs. Luckily, we found some relatively close to home…" She trailed off, obviously wanting to say something else, but decided against it. The color suddenly blanched from her cheeks, as if a thought brought back bad memories, but only for a second.

"Yeah." Emiline, or as she told us to call her, 'Emi', continued, looking at Alise sympathetically, and Evan with slightly wide eyes, "Plus, I'm too attached to my family. I can't leave." She brushes her light blonde hair away from her black-rimmed glasses.

"I see." Ian said what I was thinking. What I was wondering now was what Alise seemed so nervous about. It struck terror in her facial features, more like worry, actually.

"Well, we should really hang out sometime, you know?" Alise snapped back into reality, both hands on her hips, just slightly above her jean shorts.

Emi smiled, "Oh yeah! That'd be fun! We can get to know each other better!" That would be nice… I'd like to know more about Alise. …Not in a creepy way, of course.

"How about sometime this weekend?" Ian suggests, "We aren't busy making any videos."

Something must've clicked in Emiline's brain, "I knew you two looked familiar! Smosh, right?" She lets out a laugh, "Wow, I'm so slow… Ehem, so yeah, this weekend then?"

We all agreed on Saturday, which was three days from now, "See you guys later!" Alise said as we walked out the front door, towards our house.

For the first time in a long while, I was excited to hang out with someone I barely knew.
