Factions
New California Republic - The dominant faction in the region after almost entirely wiping out Caesar's Legion and sending the few remnants back across the Colorado. The NCR has been stalled as of late, focusing on recovering from the war, which has allowed them to focus on domestic issues a little more than usual. During the six months that have passed since the Second Battle Of Hoover Dam the NCR has worked on its relationship with various other groups in the Mojave, including the Crimson Caravan Company, Van Graff family, Boomers and The Kings leading to their cooperation to some extent or another and allowing it even more power and influence in the region.
Caesar's Legion - With the death of Caesar and Legate Lanius the Legion not only lost the Second Battle Of Hoover dam but was run out of the Mojave entirely, splintering and tearing itself apart completely once retreating back across the Colorado, several of the tribes that had been absorbed struggling to reform and many more new ones forming as some of them devolved into a tribal state while the rest found other ways to adapt to their new existence, some even rumored to have returned to the Mojave to eke out a living there, largely in the south east, though they've had little if any contact with the rest of the world.
Boomers - The hermetic xenephobes from Vault 34 that had come to inhabit Nellis Airforce Base were convinced to assist the NCR in the final battle against Caesar's Legion, utterly obliterating whatever they hit with their heavy artillery and even the bomber they had managed to recover and repair. Their amazing firepower and unique culture that had formed completely separate from the rest of the Mojave soon attracted the interest of tourists, though most never made it within the gates of Nellis, however caravans - particularly those from Crimson Carvan - had started trading with the Boomers opening them up to the outside world slowly but surely. Rarely if ever leave Nellis, thus remaining in the north east and having little influence in the Mojave as of yet.
Brotherhood Of Steel - While Elder McNamara saw the error in his ways and started making reforms in order to help the Mojave chapter of the Brotherhood prosper once more he was still cautious and careful, only returning to how things had been slowly, and only really developing a relationship with the NCR - whom they had peacefully negotiated with - and the Followers Of The Apocalypse whom they shared an interest in technology with. While not having very much to do with the outside world, thus limiting their power and influence, the Mojave chapter is starting to expand operations and sending patrols out to start gathering technology and information once more. Remain largely in Hidden Valley and the south-central Mojave in general, largely avoiding others which has limited their influence even in that area.
Followers Of The Apocalypse - Easily the most peaceful and well educated group in the Mojave if not the post-apocalyptic world as a whole the Followers sided with the NCR, knowing it was the only thing they ould do, an independent Vegas simply wasn't ready for what lay ahead of them, and knowing that whether the NCR was able to provide the support they promised or not it would still be better for the Followers and everyone else than if someone else took over where Mr. House left off. With the NCR victory the Followers struggled at first to keep up with the sudden explosion of trouble and thus work, but eventually, with some of the assistance and cooperation promised by the NCR, they managed to clean things up and return to providing services to anyone in need in Freeside or those who sought them out at any of their other outposts. Still headquarted at the Old Mormon Fort the Followers have a large following and enjoy plenty of support from Freeside residents, as well as some support and cooperation with the NCR, which has allowed them to expand operations in already existing outposts such as the North Vegas Clinic thus expanding their influence in the Mojave even more.
Great Khans - While convinced to abandon their alliance with Caesar the Khans were barely able to set aside their differences with the NCR, and after the war was over tensions began to rise once more. No one knows who shot first but eventually the NCR was fighting the Khans once more, now able to focus almost entirely on them the Khans were nearly wiped out, badly beaten the scattered, some staying in Red Rock Canyon while small groups established other camps around the Mojave in the hopes of one day taking the fight to the NCR like they had in their glory days. Largely found in and around Red Rock Canyon where they stay for fear of the nearby NCR forces wiping them out in their moment of weakness, though several secret camps now exist around the Mojave.
Enclave Remnants - When it came out that there had been Enclave remnants in the Mojave the NCR acted quickly, keeping it a secret as they rounded up the group and agreed to pardon them all for their assistance of the Courier - and thus the Republic - and pressed them for further support, getting as much information and training out of the remnants as possible. Not being known to the public it is unknown where the Enclave remnants currently reside.
The Three Families - Despite New Vegas being under NCR control which none of the families appreciated they slowly adjusted to the way things were, though they resisted and caused problems wherever possible, even starting to cooperate with each other more than they ever had in an effort to keep from being pushed out of Vegas, working the casinos as they had before so the NCR could focus on other problems they knew it was only a matter of time before they would start to be replaced and lose their place in the Mojave entirely. The families all keep to the Strip and Vegas in general where they still enjoy a limited amount of power and influence which is waning fast.
Crimson Caravan Company - The massive trading company that had its start in California was active in the Mojave as soon as the NCR had shown up and still had close ties to the government of the Republic, keeping them well supplied with all they needed and working secretly with the Van Graff family to wipe out the competition - something that eventually came to the NCR's attention but was quickly covered up. In the six months since the NCR victory over the Legion the Crimson Caravan Company has expanded considerably and assisted the NCR efforts to improve their relationship with various other groups, either opening trade routes with them or improving those that existed. Crimson Caravan still works out of its headquarters but has tremendous influence in power due to its connection and far reach.
Van Graff Family - A large and powerful family involved in the caravan business as well as organized crime, their reach stretching out all the way to the Mojave where they quickly sided with the Crimson Caravan Company and started working together benefiting both sides greatly. The Van Graffs quickly became involved in all sorts of other activities, some of them not entirely legal, building a powerful empire based out of their location in Freeside.
Gun Runners - A once powerful company that revolved around the manufacture and sale of various types of conventional weapons and ammunition the Gun Runners were in direct competition with the Crimson Caravan and Van Graff groups who were secretly working together and, with the theft of valuable Gun Runner information among other serious blows to the company its two main rivals who were working together quickly took over and nearly pushed the Gun Runners out of the Mojave entirely.
The Fiends - With their most senior leaders as well as countless others slaughtered and unable to keep the group of chem soaked insane from falling apart the group quickly started suffering from in fighting, a worsening relationship with the Great Khans and being hunted down by the NCR, despite this the Fiends still remain in the south west and are still pose a clear threat to anyone venturing near their territory.
Jackals, Vipers, Scorpions - The two largest groups of raiders in the wasteland and a much, much smaller but equally well known group have suffered since the NCR victory at Hoover Dam. While the Jackals and Vipers were able to fight back and even manage to expand as they fed off of the increasing amount of caravans traveling all over the Mojave they still have been hunted on occasion even with a few major operations aimed at wiping them out and are virtually always dealt with harshly. The Scorpions on the other hand were entirely wiped out, never having had the numbers to survive a serious attack. The other two however remain scattered around the Mojave and continue to be a problem for those not a part of either gang. Many of them now reside in Bonnie Springs which has turned into a large raider populated city as has Nipton.
The Kings - Having finally settled their dispute with the NCR peacefully the Kings remained in power in Freeside, though there was still tension between the two groups the NCR focused heavily on the Strip and in the end allowed the Kings, whether purposely or not, to retain their freedom. Since then the Kings have kept busy coordinating efforts in Freeside, where they remain, though they have recently began considering expanding in order to spread out and further help those in need, though The King has yet to make a move toward that goal.
Powder Gangers - After being driven out of NCRCF and having many of their camps wiped out the Powder Gangers scattered, finding few places to stay many of them fled to Vault 19 where a small group of Powder Gangers have still managed to hold out against the NCR even once it was found out where they were staying. Many more small, scattered Powder Ganger camps can be found all over the southern region of the Mojave, though they tend to be east of Nipton.
Westside Militia - A poorly funded, poorly equipped but well manned and dedicated militia formed in Westside to take care of and protect the residents of the western ghetto which had largely been ignored and neglected even after the NCR took over New Vegas which only served to motivate the residents as they all banded together, either joining and supporting the militia or by taking take care of the community in other ways. Only found in Westside where they have considerable power and influence.
Goodsprings Militia - Once an impromptu militia formed in order to confront the threat of a Powder Ganger attack the people of Goodsprings felt that maintaining a standing militia was in their best interest and as the town grew, becoming an important Big Horner and Brahmin ranch so too did the militia grow in size and importance, though they still largely only have any power in the town itself.
