Beat the E4 using the pokemon around Juvelife. (AKA Kriketot, Budew, Bidoof, Shinx, Starly, and your starter)
Good Luck! :D
That doesn't sound TOO bad...So you can catch others, but MUST beat the E4 with Jubilife Pokemon, if I understand correctly? :V
Yup, but if you don't beat the gyms with them they might not be ready to beat the E4. xD
Hm...
If this was a Black/White challenge, it's be easy.
4 words:
Audino grinding; Lucky Egg.
That is all.
That's why it's called a challenge... It's supposed to be challenging. xD
W/o evolution? Because considering that in my newest Platinum I'll probably be using all what you listed, only evolved.
I've seen some guy using all level 1 pokemon beat up gen V Cynthia.
Holy crap, this thing came to life!
*proudface*
Umm... Soul wanted a challenge? Try one of the more interesting ones? Scramble and/or moveset?
Scramble AND moveset? Holy shit that'd be only for a true pro. Like the Battle Something in the Frontier where you borrow Pokémon. You have to work with what you are given.
Ahh yes. Man those movesets suck half the time. I'd come up with much better ones. :3
And naah, Moveset scrambles aren't all that difficult, imo. I completed one on Emerald fairly recently, where one of the members was a Dustox with Psybeam, Gust, and Dual Screens. THAT... was a bitch. xD
Sorry for double posting, but:
I'm starting a LeafGreen Nuzlocke. Ftw?
Here's my progress so far. Level grinding in Viridian Forest:
Female Squirtle, Lv 13.
Nickname: Mai
Nature: Naughty (xD)
Moves: Tackle, Tail Whip, Water Gun, Withdraw
Female Water-type... had to be Mai. And she IS pretty much the forum's fearless leader, after all. Not to mention introverted, like a turtle. :3
Male Pidgey, Lv 12
Nickname: Ian
Nature: Calm
Moves: Tackle, Sand Attack, Gust
I thought Freeze was the most Pidgey...like out of everyone here, so I named it after him. The Calm nature annoys me, but it fits him perfectly. Interesting how it's the complete opposite to Mai's...
Male Butterfree, Lv10
Nickname: Tai
Nature: Also Naughty
Moves: Harden, Confusion
Caught him as a Metapod. Named Tai because Tai is also withdrawn basically all of the time. :P
And then there's something Butterfree...esque about him. :3
I'll be nicknaming pokemon after as many forumgoers as I can, depending on gender and suitability. I'll let you all know who survives! :D
Lol, the Butterfree always survives:
Sleep Powder, Substitute, Giga Drain, Dream Eater. DEADLY. :D
DESTRUCTION!
Also, I think I'll give up the moveset part of my poison monotype. Nobody ever posts the Saur setup and I already beat Brock. I don't want to wait. I'll be updating on my progress when I get the chance.
Lol, fair enough. I think we'll need this thread to kick in before we start posting ambitious crap. :D
Okay, so my team looks like this ATM:
VINES, Bulbasaur, lv.13
Pretty much my main man ATM. He pwns when the others are too weak.
ALEX, Beedrill, lv.11
He's a bee with swords for hands, what else do I say? Also I'll be using the setup you gave me for him. Secret weap against Sabrina and Koga.
GINA, NidoranF, lv.10
Powerhouse-in-training, future "angry ravagement" will commence with Earthquake's arrival.
WINGEDBOOT, Pidgey, lv.2
Will be put to computerment. Future HM slave for Fly. Fuqu game makers, Golbat is a BIG bat.
Update tiem:
Just south of Cerulean, level grinding. Team looks like this currently:
Mai the Wartortle
Lv 24, Naughty nature
Water Gun
Tail Whip
Bite
Mega Punch
Comments: Mai has proved extremely useful, taking out basically everything that gets in her way. Even made it to the fourth trainer on Nugget Bridge before even taking a hit.
Ian the Pidgeotto
Lv20, Calm nature
Tackle
Sand Attack
Gust
Quick Attack
Comments: Once again, Ian beat Remains' Pidgeotto in a one on one, with only a 1 level advantage (18 to 17). Even a crit going against him didn't stop teh winz.
Tai the Butterfree
Lv20, Naughty
Confusion
Harden
Stun Spore
Sleep Powder
Comments: Whilst a little underpowered, Tai has the amazing 97% accurate Sleep Powder at his disposal, so power isn't all that important. Has barely managed to even take a hit yet, forget be in danger of dying.
and new additions:
Lessly the Nidorina (Nidoqueen seemed fitting...)
Lv 20, also Naughty
Scratch
Tail Whip
Poison Sting
Double Kick
Comments: A little short on power, I will admit, But once I evolve her, her movepool will improve immensely, as will her power and bulk. Not to mention additional Ground-typing. Ftw.
Why the name?
She was the most suiting of all the females on this forum, heh. Nidoqueen is, imo, graceful and peaceful, yet can srsly kick someone's ass, should they piss her off. Sounds rather like Less to me. Other than that... I got nothing. :D
Sapphire the Zubat (Don't ask me why. xD)
Lv20, Modest
Bite
Astonish
Leech Life
Supersonic
Comments: Has been difficult to train, due to being low powered. But then again, she is a ZUBAT... D:
Will be worth it once she evolves into a Golbat and learns Wing Attack.
Why the name?
She's blue, lol.
Kat the Raticate
Lv20, Rash
Tackle
Quick Attack
Hyper Fang
Focus Energy
Comments: Caught as a Rattata, and has been amazing, with her Hyper Fang taking out pretty much everything in a SINGLE hit. I'm not even kidding. :3
Why the name?
Rattata's whiskers look a little like a Mexican's moustache, lol. Sorry if this offends you, Kat. I DON'T MEAN IT IN A BAD WAY. I JUST NEEDED A RATTATA NICKNAME, AND JAS IS TOO FLUFFY! D:
Joan the Bellsprout
Lv20, Sassy
Vine Whip
Sleep Powder
Growth
Secret Power
Comments: Has been difficult to train, as the wilds around Cerulean are either birds, or offer shitty experience. Not to mention Sassy nature = slow. :(
Why the name?
Derpy is as derpy does. :D
Soul the Kadabra
Lv20, Modest (HELL YEAH)
Confusion
Teleport
Disable
Comments: Since evolving, nothing has survived ONE confusion, yet. Extremely happy with the Modest nature, bcus SAtk ftw. :D
Why the name?
Soul = Smart, and Kadabra also = smart. Nods.
I'm also rather lucky to report only one tragedy so far:
EJ the Meowth:
Lv11, Naive
Was killed by a crit from a wild Rattata. :(
So... thoughts, everyone? :3
Updating:
Caught the obligatory Diglett in Diglett's cave. Named it Shadow. Docile nature. xD
Also caught a Sandshrew east of Vermilion. Named her Sil. :3
How about the N challenge?
Every time you beat a gym/have a major battle you have to build up an entirely new team, using pokemon from the surrounding area.
You can only have as many Pokemon as the gym leader/major battle opponent has.
After you beat the 6th gym you get to keep one Pokemon.
I think I might do this on my HeartGold version.
I'm doing a blind Nuzlocke run on Platinum.
Well, it's sorta not blind since I know typings and I've played Diamond...
Anyway, I've beat Gardenia of Eterna City and haven't lost a team member yet! :p
DAT RANDOM MOVES NUZLOCKE http://s7.zetaboards.com/Nuzlocke_Forum/topic/8695323/1/#new
(it's mine)
