I agree that I think Wanda would be shy because of the way she acted around "Eric". She wasn't like freaking out or anything, but she was more reserved than she usually is. But that was also before the whole mind wipe thing, and her personality did kind of change after that happened. Maybe she wouldn't just up and sleep with him randomly. But I don't know...its a little hard to just say she wouldn't do something because its not like we have much character to base that off of. I think any fanfic situation could happen as long as it was written *well*.
Same thing goes for John too. Writing romance novels - although widely accepted as canon - isn't necessarily Evo canon. It's comic canon. And if we were going to base him off comic canon, then the only person he ever had a close personal relationship with was Avalanche. LOL. And even comic John was very sarcastic and cynical...and not a very nice person. He didn't act *anything* like Evo John (what we saw of him) ever. So John could be taken in just about any direction really, but once again has to be written properly to make it realistic. I've seen him written a lot of different ways and some work for him, and some kind of don't. It all goes with your interpretation, really.

But I totally agree with that. Jonda's an anything-goes couple.
...Maybe that's why Jonda's not as popular as other pairings. People can't just write the same five fanfics with different titles about it.
7/14/2007 #32 ReportLMAO, yes that is so true. Every pairing seems to have a damn guideline about "the way" they need to be written. Its so predictable, and its a shame because so many pairings that I used to love reading I can't even click on stories for anymore because they're all the same. Its funny that for a fiction site people hate having to be creative for a change. That's why I love Jonda because it's so damn unpredictable. :D

9/2/2007 #34 ReportI have to agree with that for evo!Wanda at least. Anyone's better than an android, and the way John's usually written, he can make Wanda mellow out a little (or at least stop taking herself so seriously).
But if comics!Wanda had Pyro as her boyfriend (even though comics!Pyro is a little saner and kind of foppish)... hoboy. M-Day might have been the catastrophe Marvel tried to make it out to be.

9/12/2007 #47 ReportWanda's imaginary kids were with Vision, the android dude. Wanda had a set of "twins" with him once, but they weren't real and distorted reality or something like that. In House of M, all Wanda wanted was for her family to be happy and to finally have a baby of her own. So she did, only that baby wasn't really real either.

I don't mind Rogue and Wanda, either. I don't see Wanda and Kitty getting along at this point in their lives. Kitty is still a little too good, naive, and annoying. Unless Wanda is on a mission to corrupt her. That would be fun, dirty and involve a lot of blushing on Kitty's part. Of course, Kitty could throw some back. I'm sure her and Lance weren't all that platonic.
Other cliches I don't mind:
* Remy and John as close friends
* John joining the Brotherhood post-Apocalypse and not the X-Men or anyone else for that matter
* John being in juvie
* John being a writer
* Wanda denying she has feelings
Those are all the ones I can think of right now.

Eh, Hi........Am I aloud to post on here? I know that no one's been on here in a while but I have a cliche (seeing as it seems to be a very popular thought from what I've read) that irks me to no end. I absolutely HATE it when people portray John as a complete Idiot!! There's being a bit slow every now and again and there's being intentually stupid to ease tension (if that makes any kind of sense to anyone) but then there's what authors are making out to be. I mean, come on! In comic verse he's a writer! Not to mention the fact that I've read so many stories on here that portray (hate to use the same word twice, but it's late and I can't think of a different one right now.) him as a romance novalist, that I find it hard to believe that it hasn't gotten around somewhat by now. I don't know. It just kind of bugs me.
On a Jonda note, I absolutely LOVE this pairing! They're made of some serious EPIC WIN! I mean seriously. One word. Layers. There are just SO many things that you could do with them. SO many unused ideas out there that are just PERFECT for them!! I get so upset cause I have a hard time finding any stories out there that are actually complete let alone good. I'd kill (not literally) for a complete Jonda parody or two. There are all kinds of Romy (which is awesome) and I've read some that gueststar them so to speak, but the only complete one I've found so far, was a 1 chapter version of "The Princess and The Frog"

I like to portray John as a goofy guy that hides his intelligence which is mostly in people observation. I think in one of my stories Wanda tells him that he is smarter than he lets on, or something to that effect. He does get grandiose ideas that might not work in the practical sense, but adds to his very extroverted character.
As far as parody's go, I've read the Princess and the Frog. I've also read a good one with the Christmas Carol. I started one based on the Firefly series with John and Wanda playing Wash and Zoe, but I didn't get very far.
I've tried to put together a collection of Jonda stories in my C2: Come on, Baby, Light my Fire. If you haven't checked it out yet. That's a good place to start.
