Ok, Sam and Jake pairings are just wrong to me. Jake's way too...not Sam's type. It'd be like going out with your brother! I really hope Terri doesn't pair them. Jake and Jen even- I think they'd be hilarious together- but NOT Jake Sam! What is your opinion? WHY do you think Sam/Jake? Give me a good reason, pleeeeeeeeeease.
3/30/2006 #1 ReportI think Jake and Jen parings is wrong and that Jake isn't her type, i9t wouldn't work, they are to much alike. Jake and Sam pairings are more natural to me. Jake and Sam have known eachother for forever and they seem to have teeny tiny crushes on eachother. That's just my opinion.
4/20/2006 #2 ReportSam and Jake have known each other their whole lives. It would be natural for them to fall for eachother. They know each others fears, maybe dreams, and practically their life! Jake still has his prom so maybe he might ask Sam. I hope so. #24 is the last book. That's what Terri Farley said when I e-mailed her in early August 2005.

To me, they are just meant 4 each other.

8/3/2006 #6 ReportI totally agree. I sorta like Sam/Ryan because it'd make Sam realize that not allllll the Slocums are pure evil. :). I also like Sam and Gabe, and Same and Darrell would be interesting because they're different, yet they'd be good for each other. Darrell would teach Sam to lossen up and stop worrying so much about Blackie, and Sam could give Darrell a better attitude.
8/4/2006 #7 Reportoops, forgot to add that Jen would be jealous, but actually Jen liking Ryan in the first place is TOTALLY out of character. Maybe Jen and Quinn? And anyway, even in Jen was jealous, it wouldn't nessisarily (sp?) keep Ryan and Sam apart.

8/4/2006 #9 Reportbefore I start i'm going to say that i havent read any of the PS books since 10. I have grown up and the series has taken a turn for the worse. The quality of the books has gone down and the plots have become more and more unbelievable. I think that jen/ryan is a very ooc for jen, she seems like a very smart girl who hates the position she has been forced into because of the slocums buying her family's ranch. i think that her resentment of them would get in the way of her relationship with him. She doesnt seem like the kind of person who would let her emotions run her life and jump into a relationship like that. through most of the books sam presents herself as a very uptight person who lets herself get ruled by her emotions.
8/7/2006 #10 ReportI barely read the series anymore, also- I've grown up, my interest in horses has gone down quite a bit, and the fact that each of the books since about 11 have only been 100 pages, I've mostly stopped reading them. I like the series but not enough to buy the books. I bought Wild Honey, and will probably buy the very last book in the series just to see what happens, but that's it. I agree, the quality of her books went kerplunk.
8/7/2006 #11 ReportI think they are the only worth while horse books. Most others are just plain stupid. Like The Saddle CLub for example. I ride horses and can't find a decent english horse book. The only other good one is "King of The Wind". I'm undecided about the Sam/Jake. On some levels they would be cute together and on others it's wrong. Honestly can you picture him with another girl? He is way too shy, but I guess every guy has a girl he'de go out on a limb for, and maybe it's not Sam for him. But I hate anything that isn't Jen/Ryan. Mixing with that couple is just wrong.

5/14/2007 #23 ReportI think the books are still fine, but I haven't read all of them. I'm too stubborn to buy them. I am firmly, and forever Sake. They have so much chemistry and so much potential. I can't really explain why, but if you've read enough of them, it might start to grow on you. Well, it grew on me since the first book, haha. But I'm a sucker for friends lovers relationships, haha. But I like Jen/Ryan too. I am also a sucker for the obvious relationships, you know? But I am not as stubborn about Jen/Ryan. She can really be with anyone she wants, lol.
9/3/2007 #24 ReportI've read all the books and I believe the end was implyed Sam/Jake. I've changed my opion since the last time I posted, I do like Sam/Jake. I don't see the whole 'meant to be' thing, like they couldn't be with any one else but they are kind of cute, but still a bit too brother-sister. There's not enough playful flirting going on, just brother-sister stuff. I still can't see either one of them making a move though; both too shy. I am die hard Jen/Ryan though because that is a definete (not that I always go with the implyed ship) but I think it's cute. The stuck up, rich boy and the humble, ranch hands daughter; what's not to love? It's much mroe realistic then both guy and girl being so perfect and sweet all the time (gags).

10/3/2007 #26 ReportI actually think Sam/Jake is great. i love the idea of them just growing into a relationship and its so cute how they argue all the time. now Jen/Jake is a little outragious on account that they basically hate each other. i am all for the whole Jen/Darrel thing tho. i think that would be pretty interesting.

Jen/Jake is NOT a good idea. Jen/Ryan.....okay.......wierd....... Jen/Darrel is a maybe. I haven't read the books in froever, so I have to go back and see if that fits. **runs to the library**
