/Catherine/
"Well, being half vampire, I've noticed the sun doesn't burn me, but I prefer not to go out in it. However, I'm used to a nocturnal schedule as it stands, so that may just be me. So if he is half vampire, it could be that the sun doesn't bother him at all because he's used to going out in the day and everything. Mind you, that's just a thought."
/Zenevieva/
"That's what I've suspected. . .its just so difficult to raise a child when you don't even know what they truly are."
"I have a feeling it will become clearer as he gets older." I said and Borka nodded in agreement.
"Have you encountered any problems yet?" Alena asked.
/Catherine/
"Surprisingly no," I told her. "Although, I was wondering-seeing as your son is a bit older than mine, is there anything I should expect as Keiran gets older?"
/Zenevieva/
Alena smiled, "Changes--questions, sometimes Milos has...peculiar dreams."
"Memories of his father's, perhaps." I quipped.
"And we've had our share of strange visitors.." Borka said acerbically. "Because of his blood--they can always sense him."
"It can be terrifying." Alena admitted.
"That's probably how Vaine found you and Milos in the first place." I added softly.
/Catherine/
"Vaine?" I asked curiously, the name unfamiliar to me. "Who is he?"
/Zenevieva/
"He was the main vampire behind the attack in Rauscurest--he was creating a nest there and he had kidnapped both Alena and Milos--he was planning something but we never quite got to find out. . "
"If it weren't for you and your husband and your friends, we would've all been in trouble." Alena said nodding solemnly.
"But that incident was the last straw--its why we've decided to move into the Valerious' complex." Borka added gravely.
"I have a sneaking suspicion that Vaine was one of the few to go against the elder's and raise Dracula back from the dead." I finally said, getting chills from the thought.
/Catherine/
"So he's the bastard responsible for raising Dracula from the dead," I hissed, scowling. "I assume he himself is dead now?"
/Zenevieva/
"One of them at least, I suspect--but he is dead. . I hope his little companions died in our raid--then we can be rid of all of them." I spat.
"Why he wanted us--I can not fathom." Alena said cooly, though it clearly disturbed her.
"Your child is not the only one he was after..." I said looking at Catherine.
/Catherine/
My arms instinctively tightened around Keiran. "You don't think he would have come after Keiran-would he?"
Keiran suddenly started squirming and fussing, a sign I was holding him too tight. I relaxed my grip and he settled right down.
/Zenevieva/
"The only value they must've had to Vaine was that Milos has Dracula's blood flowing through him and Alena. . well, they know eachother. ." I said quite oversimplified. "I can only imagine what importance that would've had with Dracula. .and subsequently what his plans were."
"Do you think, perhaps, that this..Vaine fellow was working with him?" Alena asked, eyes set in reasoned thinking.
I shrugged, "I do not know--and he is dead. . .I doubt I shall ever know..."
/Kaja/
“I don’t need my powers to find you, Jack!” I called out with a devilish grin, “Just wait, I’ll get you!”
As I groped my way through the area, I almost stumbled a couple of times (much to Jack’s amusement) before pouncing on someone and wrapping my arms around the person. My victim certainly was male and he wasn’t Jack, he was taller and had broader shoulders. I frowned, wondering who I had seized.
“Uh, are you Morfran?”
“Guess again! I’m far away, out of your reach.” came Morfran’s in a distance, proving his statement. I sighed, knowing there was only one other man I had—and it wasn’t Velkan.
“Alexsei!” I announced, fathoming it had to be him.
/Gabriele/
Framing his face, I responded to his fiery, demanding kiss and dipped my tongue into his mouth, allowing mine to swirl around his in a molten, ardent pool of desire and love. My breaths were ragged as Arnaud broke away and buried his face into my hair. I sighed blissfully as I felt him breathe deeply against my golden tresses, tickling my skin.
"Oh, Gabriele. ." Arnaud muttered and I felt his name on the tip of my tongue. Finally, his arms caressed and then massaged my thighs, sending a shockwave of pleasure through me before his name escape my lips.
“Arnaud!” I gasped, digging my nails into his back, “Please…”
/Catherine/
"Well, if, on the off-chance he's not dead, if I ever see him, I intend to stick my boot up his arse for bringing Dracula back from the dead. And I intend to stick it up far, believe me."
/Alexsei/
"You're good," I told her when she guessed she had me in her grasp. "My turn, eh?"
/Kaja/
“That’s right, Alexsei,” I replied, tearing off the blindfold and handed it over to him. “Get Jack for me, will you?” I added in a whisper, smiling softly as Alexsei replied with a mischievous grin.
/Alexsei/
"I will try my absolute best," I promised her, tying the blindfold around my eyes. "I'm ready."
/Zenevieva/
I snickered at her comment--she had absolutely no idea. "You're telling me. . you can imagine our surprise when we found out it was him. . the bastard used to work for us."
"You jest!" Alena and Borka said, dumbfounded.
/Arnaud/
I nodded--only too willing to give in. I bowed deep against her, my body jolting in waves of electricity each time our forms met; our breaths deepening, shallowing, panning into a deep, needing sort of gasp. She moved against me, her lips parting--I choked out another breath, the heat of her consuming me, till finally a pleased sigh crashed free from my lips and I collapsed ontop of her--my thick form a hot cage against the cold night air. I smiled at her, still panting, consuming the deep evergreen of her eyes with my dark dusky ones as I bent down and caught her lips for the thousandth time and for the first time, it felt again.
/Catherine/
"You're kidding me!" I cried out, looking at Zenevieva in surprise. "He used to work for you?"
/Zenevieva/
I nodded my head, "Unfortunately, yes---we had to let him go when he began acting as a hunter. . .simply shouldn't."
/Catherine/
"What exactly do you mean?" I asked her, leaning a little closer, curious to hear this story.
/Kaja/
“Okay,” I said before I started turning Alexsei around. Once I hit four, I stopped him and raced away before crying out, “Go, Alexsei!”
/Gabriele/
Panting alongside him, our torrid, murky breaths mingled together amidst the caliginous background of the night. Sighing contently, I wrapped my arms around Arnaud and pulled myself closer to him, smiling to myself when he brought my leg over his waist and began stroking my thigh tenderly. Frissions shivered down my spine and I rested my head against his shoulder, pleased with everything that had transpired between us.
There would be no more vampire lords trying to rend us apart, no curse to threaten our relationship, and our once broken hearts were now mended, beating in unison.
“I love you, Arnaud,” I whispered, the wind carrying my voice away, “I shall love you till the end of time.”
/Alexsei/
I stumbled forward, reeling from Kaja spinning me, my arms outstretched to try to find someone.
"Keep coming, Uncle Alexsei," Alexandra taunted, sounding rather close. "Come on, try to get us!"
/Lexa/
"Since I haven't seen you really, actually smile since I've met you," -I said, scribbling down the date.- "And now, it is immortalized in ink and parchment! Hahaha!"
/Zenevieva/
"Stealing from us--torturing our prey instead of providing merciful death," I said supressing shivers, "Feeding on injured humans during an attack--I suppose he thought they were going to die anyways. . and he simply hastened it. . .He did unspeakable things of cruelty--we had to let him go, but in retrospect we should've simply killed him."
/Arnaud/
"And I," I said curling her closer upon me, my hand tracing the contours of her leg and back, "I will love you Gabriele till there is no breath in me left. . and beyond. . ." I moved her chin up gently, capturing her lips sweetly. When another wave of icy wind brushed over us, I pulled my riding jacket over us. I knew the cold did not affect her, but I wanted all of her warmth to bathe upon me. . .
"I would never want to return if it weren't for the more overwhelming desire for you to meet my sister." I murmured roughly in her ear, kissing her neck afterwards.
/Catherine/
"Maybe..." I mused, rocking Keiran back and forth gently. "Would have saved us some trouble...but, in retrospect, if Dracula hadn't been resurrected...a lot of things wouldn't have happened that have happened. You know? Keiran wouldn't exist, I wouldn't know Egil, and the list goes on and on."
/Morfran/
I smirked at Alexandra’s words, finding this game to rather run and certainly entertaining. As I watched Alexandra mock and tease her uncle, a wicked idea entered my mind. While everyone else was preoccupied in dodging Alexsei, I snuck behind my lover and before she could register my presence, I gave her a little shove that nearly set her in front of Alexsei’s path.
“Keep going straight, Alexsei! You’re little tormenter is waiting for you!” I called out drolly, holding back a snicker as Alexandra whirled around and glared at me, her hands on her hips.
I am so going to get it…
/Egil/
If you were Catherine, you would have seen my smile dozen of times.
Shaking off this musing, I cocked my head over Lexa’s shoulder, reading what she scribbled down. “And what are you proposing to do with that? Show everyone that I actually have the muscles in my mouth to smile?”
/Gabriele/
“Your sister?” I murmured huskily, passion still creeping in my voice as he ran his lips over my skin, kissing my neck amorously. “I didn’t know you had a sister… How big is your family?” A few of my fingers grazed his jaw sensuously, his stubbly whiskers tickling the tips of them.
/Alexandra/
"Morfran! You dog!" I yelped, glowering playfully at him when he snuck up behind me and pushed me into Uncle Alexsei's path. I felt my uncle closing in fast, so, with a devious grin to Morfran, I placed my hands on his shoulders, pressed down, and leapt up, jumping over his head and landing behind him before nudging him forward. "What do you say to that?"
Before he said anything, Uncle Alexsei's hands found his shoulders. "You're not Alexandra-you're way too tall. I'm going to guess...Morfran?"
/Jack/
"That's what happens when you try to trick the lady," I howled lauging as Morfran got duped in his own trick. I shrugged my arm around Kaja, "I know better. . " I murmured to her.
/Zenevieva/
"And Keiran is your world know--as is Egil, I can see that now." I told her grinning.
"No matter your experiences, good can come out of it--always." Alena added gripping Borka's hand.
/Arnaud/
"Well--big--there's five of us. An elder brother who does not speak to me, my elder sister who does--even though she gets the rapp for it, a younger brother--he speaks to me, but if he wasn't so charming I think he'd be the black sheep of the family and not I. . .and vapid younger sister--she refuses to say my name. . ." I shrugged, I couldn't care less--I had one brother and one sister as far as all was concerned, and a love to last me the ages--I needed nothing else. . I smiled as she traced her fingertips along my slightly stubbled jaw line.
"Don't you have brothers and sisters?"
/Lexa/
"It's going in a scrapbook," -I scoffed.- "Get real."
/Zenevieva/
I smiled back. Alena stood up with Borka, saying softly, "It has been a long journey for us--Milos especially. If you'll excuse us, we are going up to our room, Catherine--it was a pleasure to have met you. . I do not doubt I shall see you again." Alena said bowing her head softly with a smile.
"Good evening Madame," Borka said nodding his head as well to her.
/Catherine/
"Good evening to you, as well. It was a pleasure meeting you both, and I don't doubt I will see you again." Keiran had dozed back off, and I was feeling a bit tired myself-it had been quite a day.
