It was just over 20 years ago when three girls enrolled at Spence Academy for Young Ladies opened the gates to a mysterious world of wonder. After being closed for such a long time, the Realms were re-opened with free reign for all who lived there and over all of the magic. Now creatures of both good and evil are able to get their hands on the magic and the Rhakshana and the old Order members are both trying to lure creatures to their side, breaking the fragile alliance between the people.
Perhaps the alliances will be broken and the Order will reign supreme again. Or possibly the Eastern Star will rise on the Rhakshana. Between the next generation, it is bound to be a rocky and hard trail for all who come across Spence Academy for Young Ladies and it's many mysteries.
Jezebel was jostled awake in the carriage as the horses drug it over a pot hole. "Ouch," she exclaimed groggily and touching the side of her temple where it had hit. She supressed a yawn and looked out of the small window and was astounded at seeing a huge castle-like building with columns and gargoyles at the side of all of the corners. "This must be Spence," she said quietly to herself as the carriage rolled around into their circular driveway and made a bumpy stop in front of the steps.
Kalya glanced out the window as she cleaned the front parlor. Her eyes fell on the carriage before she quickly moved, straightening her dress and moved towards the door, motioning for two of the younger maids to follow her and get the new student's bags.
The driver of the carriage opened her door after a few moments. She straightened her pale blue dress and proceeded to climb from the carriage, pushing back an especially crazy tendril of black curls from her eyes as she took the driver's arm to dismount. She sighed as she her feet hit the dirty pebbled drive and looked around at her surrounding and had to suppress a sound of glee.
The Indian girl opened the door, nodding to the driver in thanks as she motioned for the two girls to get the new student's bags. "Miss Merrow?" she asked, stepping up to the girl.
Jezebel's gaze landed on an equally petite Indian girl, she smiled largely. "Yes, that is me," she told her curtsying lazily to the girl.
Kalya shook her head, "No need to curtsy to me, Miss," she said with a small nod, "I am Kalya, the secondary house keeper." she said "We were expecting you here an hour ago,"
Jezebel's smile stayed cleanly on her face and she ignored her comment, "I am sorry Miss. We had a little hold up at the train that took a little longer than expected," she explained.
Kalya nodded slightly, "Of course, Mrs. Nightwing sends her apologies, she was called to town on some business and is not hear to greet you. But I can show you to your room and get you your uniform."
Jezebel continued to smile, but soon realized this and relaxed her overly tense muscles in her cheeks, "Thank you Miss," she said nodding and walking towards her to be shown the way.
Kalya headed upstairs, motioning for the maids to follow with the girl's bags. She turned left and walked to the last door on the hall before she opened it, "This is your room, Miss," she said.
Adelle sat down next to a 'cozy' fireplace, attempting to warm herself in the freezing place. Good God, how do they keep it so cold in here? She wondered to herself as her thoughts reminiced in yesterdays events, her arrival at Spence. She'd heard of the 3 before, her real mother (as she'd found out) used to be a teacher here, a Ms. Mcleethey, and Adelle's adoptive parents had sent her here to merely impress their neighbors. Ugh! I wonder when i can slip away... she thought. she had learned of her mother, but had already known as here adoptive parents and all their other children were blond and blue eyed with thin, straight hair while she had a field of chesnut curls and emerald eyes. she'd also found her mother's old diary, leading to an understanding of her 'magic' she'd discovered so long ago...
Miss Smith, the young art teacher walked past the parlor and saw Adelle. She smiled softly as she watched the girl who only appeared to be a few younger than she was. She knew that the girl knew much more than most of the girls here... But she would watch and wait, just as her uncle had instructed her to do.
Adelle stood up after a few more moments of wondering where to start looking first when a figure in the doorway caught her attention. A young woman was smiling at her, and Adelle did not know wether she was seeing human or ghost or a vision, so she simply smiled back and called softly "Hello." to see which manner of creature the woman was.
Miss Smith smiled, "Hello," she greeted, "You are one of the new students, are you not?" she asked, knowing that they were getting a few, but wasn't sure which one this was...
"Yes, I am one. My name is Adellyne Rose, but you may call me Adelle Ms. Smith. What do you teach here?" Adelle asked while practicing blocking this lady's thoughts. When the magic built up too powerful, as it often did, she could here the other persons thoughts, and she hated it sincerely...
Miss Smith smiled, feeling the girls problem so she quickly blocked her mind from the girl for safety. "I am the art instructor, Miss Rose" she said with a smile. "I take it I shall be seeing you in one of my classes soon,"
"Yes, indeed." Adelle said smiling again. Something about this woman felt...different. But she quickly brushed it off. "So Ms Smith, do you know when I will be able to meet all the other newcomers?" Adelle asked, wanting to see if anyone else shared her gift.
The woman shook her head, "I'm afraid I do not," she said, "I believe there is one other girl coming today, but that is all I know."
"oh...well thank you anyways. I must go, goodbye." said Adelle, feeling the early signs of a vision coming. She rushed past Ms. Smith and walked calmly until she was out of her sight, picked up her skirts, and ran out the nearest entrance and into the woods where the vision took her by storm...
Miss Smith watched the girl leave, her palms prickling slightly like they did whenever she felt signs of the Realms. She would have to keep an eye on this girl...
Adelle's breathing ceased as she collapsed just out of the view of others. she saw four girls turned three, magic, an adventure...no...too much magic! not good! two lovers, one's skin white as mine, the other's a beautiful dark brown...a love no more...death, destruction, unease, a temporary treaty going wrong...broken hearts... Adelle pulled out of the vision gasping for air. these were the moments she most hated corsets. And as she caught her breath, she thought hard and knew instantly who those three girls were, she'd read of them in her mother's diary, heard of them from her sources...Gemma Doyle...Felicity Worthington...and Ann Bradshaw...
(hahaha, I have too :D)
A dark skinned boy, about 19 in age moved over to Adelle, putting his hand on her shoulder, "Are you okay?" he asked in a lilting accent.
Adelle's head snapped up in alarm at the light touch and soft voice filled with concern. "I-I-I..." she stuttered at first, but cleared her throat. pull yourself together girl, you must be strong. use the teachings, you're not weak or helpless.she thought, and lifted her chin saying "I'm fine, thank you. I uh, merely tripped over a root. It doesn't hurt. Who are you?" she asked, worry growing just a bit.
The gypsy grinned, "I'm Serkan," He said, moving to help her gently, but his eyes were dancing, "You should be much more careful when out walking,"
Jezebel smiled kindly, "Thank you," she said to Kalya as she peeked into her new room. "Will I be rooming with anyone?" She asked glancing at the beds inside.
Jezebel smiled a large smile, "I am so enormously happy to be here," she admitted with a blush at her forwardness.
(i'll pop back in w/ Serkan and Adelle's intro after ya'll finish ya'lls so it won't be confusing:)
Kalya smiled softly, "I hope you enjoy you it here as much as you're thinking you will." she said kindly. "Your uniform is in the wardrobe, and dinner is in an hour. Make sure you are on time, Mrs. Nightwing hates it when students are late."
(go a head and do it, I'm used to responding to more than one person at a time)
