Awesome! Ok, I am not looking for a specific, but I am in love with fics that have Aragorn going into the city in disguise, normally getting involved with some sort of mishap, or just any fic which has him interacting with the common people. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this right, but any links would be appreciated!

Paging all Legolas-fans!

I hope someone can help me find a Legolas-story, I read some years back.

It's about Legolas having split personalities as a result of severe child abuse by his former teacher, I think. He is sent to Elrond for help.

I'm usually not into Legolas-stories, but this one is really well-written and focuses on the psycological consequenses of child abuse rather than the abuse itself, which is nice for a change.

This is a Hail Mary pass and I know it. Does a fic about an elf who accidentally got sent to our world to awake, but then is remembered by the Valar and sent (maybe it was more like falls) to Middle-earth and finds her way to Lothlorien sound familiar to anyone? As random as it sounds, I think the title was short. Thanks!

Hells yes. It is the most irritating thing. I would say the most irritating, after a Mary-Sue, but generally they are Mary-Sue's.

Such a shame.

Anyway, moving on... :)

I am looking for some Legolas fan fics, preferably with an ORC (Original Charater)...Not an Orc. *raises eyebrow*

I have read a few decent ones in my time, but nothing... spectacular, shall we say.

Any reccomendations?

P.S - I have read: 'In the Name of Love' and also 'Blood Red Rose', which are both good. :)

Do you mean that you are looking for romance or just legolas centric fics, because I recently discovered two trilogies by the same author which was some of the most spectacular, and gripping stories that I've read in a while, although neither of them are romance. The author is Mirrordance, the first series begins with a story called Exile, the summary of which sounds standard but the follow through is anything but. The second of that trilogy is my favourite one, but it cannot be read without reading the first.The names in order are Exile, Escape and Return.

The second series which is truly incredible, begins with the story, For Every Evil. For this series, the first and second were for me equal in brilliance. I didn't like the third quite as much as the other two, but that was just personal taste, rather than any lack in quality.

The author has written several other stories, which I trust will be equally good, although I never got round to reading them. It might not be what you are looking for, but I still recommend.

At the risk of being considered arrogant, might I suggest some of my own fics? ;P I write a lot of Legolas fics, though I've not posted a lot of Legolas/OFC though I'm working on at least five and have more than that outlined on my harddrive.

I also highly recommend the fics already mentioned, and also suggest you read EVERYTHING by Jael and Aearwen22. They write more Thranduil centered fics but Legolas features in them a lot and they are excellent.

I also read a lot of HP fanfic, but I'm beginning to branch into other fandoms.

Alright, I am not sure if this fic actually exists, but I am hoping... I am looking for a fic, in which Denethor/ or Ecthelion or someone of import discovers the truth about Aragorn whilst he is Thorongil. I don't care if it leads to an AU, or if multiple people find out, or anything. I just want to read a fic with that premise. Any Thorongil recs will also be appreciated, although I warn that if it has Thorongil in the summary, I've probably read it, as I have used the search function.

A second search. I also want to read some fics which show Aragorn having to adjust to being King, or alternatively not coping and wanting to escape the pressure. These can be humurous or angsty, and can go in any direction from getting frustrated at councillors, to going on a camping trip. It doesn't have to be the main focus of the story, provided that element is there.

My final search. Denethor lives fics. I've only read one, and it was really excellent, and since then I've wanted to read more. There are plenty of Boromir live stories, but not many Denethor lives... maybe he just isn't as likeable ;)

Yeah, lots of stories that I want to read, but also surprisingly difficult to find.

This is more of a request than a search for a specific fanfic. I've had this idea for a fic that deals with the Avari, and before I got carried away with my ideas, I was wondering if anybody in the Talan could recommend a good fic that features the Avari, or in which they appear at all. I'm trying to get a feel for what's already out there, and the majority of the fics I've found, both here at FFN and LOTRFF have similar approaches to the topic. In the broadest strokes, they're either Avari/Moriquendi/Kindi/etc. seeks aid of their elvish kin and culture clash ensues, generally with some romance thrown in for good measure, or they're short one-shots from the Avarin perspective that reflect on themes of abandonment, bitterness, and resentment.

So, if I've overlooked a fic that doesn't match that description please tell me.

I wouldn't normally do this, but I write Erestor as an Avar in my Tolkien fics and they don't really match that description -- well, I wouldn't describe them like that, anyway. But they may not be what you want, since although his life is the unifying feature for the whole set, I wouldn't say that his experience specifically as an Avar is normally a major theme. Although it does sometimes turn up as a minor theme, I guess.

Jael's stories have some Avari in them, though they mostly focus on Thranduil's family. However, the backstory of Thranduil meeting his wife and their marriage is quite interesting. In her verse, Thranuil's wife is an Avar and the interaction between Thranduil and his father in law is one of my favorite parts of the series.

I wasn't sure where to put this, since there doesn't seem to be a "Thread of Lost Tales", but there's a story I know I saw on this site once upon a time, and now I can't seem to find it anywhere (largely, of course, because I don't know the title or the author's name). In many respects, it was a standard "modern-day character meets the Fellowship" story, only, instead of just one character, there were four or five, all of them Tolkien fans, all with distinct personalities, and several who could actually speak Elvish. (That was one of the nice things about it; you felt that the protagonists actually deserved the unique privilege they were getting, instead of just being your average Jackson-obsessed Mary Sue.)

There was one detail I particularly remember: When they crossed over, they had just come from a Lord-of-the-Rings-themed costume party (which of course made the transition somewhat easier, since they actually looked like they belonged in Middle-Earth when they showed up there). One of the girls among them - I think her name was Malina, or Melita, or something like that - had gone the whole nine yards, doing herself up in full Elf makeup; because of this, it took them several chapters to realize that, when they had arrived in Middle-Earth, she had actually become an Elf. (And then, of course, a couple of the others started panicking about whether they were going to start turning into Hobbits or Dwarves, and the leader of the group had to point out that, no, to all appearances this had happened when they had first arrived, and if you hadn't changed then, you weren't going to.)

Anyway, if anyone reading this knows the story I'm describing, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know the title and/or author. Thanks.

I'm looking for this fanfiction that I read a year ago. It's an OC/Legolas pairing, the OC being Aragorn's sister. The sister is the "10th Walker" in the story, she and Legolas are already together at the beginning.

Yes, it's an OC/potentially Mary Sue story, but I've been looking for this damn thing for two days now, and I'm (almost) more concerned that I find it over reading it in general!

Any help would be appreciated!

Hmmmmm, a bit of a lack of detail there I am afraid! Do you have any idea who the author is? Or possibly when it was published, you can look at stories from a particular time period you know! Or perhaps you can search stories that feature Legolas, but there are an awful lot of them so it might be a long search.

Well, to elaborate, the story begins right at the very start of the fellowship in Rivendell, her name begins with an "A" (though that's probably obvious), I don't think the story was completed, but I'm not sure. Rating was either T or M... I don't think that it was published after 07...

I thought that searching "Aragorn" and "Legolas" was the correct combo to try to find it, but after looking through 21 pages of more or less SLASH pairings of the two of them, I got a little discouraged... ha.

Andddd... no idea who the author is.

Honestly, any help that could possibly lead me in the right direction (stories that sound similar, regardless if it perfectly matches the description..) I would really appreciate it!
