On Earth, we find the group spending a months leave for a special human holiday that survives even in this day and age, Christmas. UNSC brass has so graciously provided them with a nice, large multi room apartment building for said month of leave.
We go now to the set date of the morning of December 22nd...
A shrill cry echoed throughout the large apartment, no doubt able to wake everyone up if they were Spartan or human alike.
Caine sighed softly and opened his eyes in his bed, wondering what was the racket about. sitting up he reached for his shirt, putting it on he walked out of his room, down the hall and into the living where Cassidy was pacing frantically. "What is it?" he asked tiredly.
"Caine!" Cass turned on a dime and moved up to him and took his face between her hands and pulled his face down to her and stared into his eyes. "It's the 22nd of december..." she hissed. "Do you realise what this means?"
"No... but i'm sure you're going to tell me..."
"It's three days till Christmas!" Caine closed his eyes to avoid the small bit og saliva that left Cass' mouth. "And we don't have ANYTHING set up! we have to make phone calls! plans! we have to buy presents.. and wrapping paper... and! lots!" she rambled.
Caine raised a brow, wondering if the rest of Team Vector was having this problem.

Ner"kae walked out of her room in pajamas, she glaring at Cassidy"who dares wake me from my sleep, i need rest for training!"

Hahahaha!! Thirteen laughed as he looked at Gustave. Good morning sunshine! The armor said as he slapped his metal knee and laughed.
12/9/2010 #3 ReportCassidy turned to everyone. "How can you all be sleeping!?" she asked in disbelief. "It's December 22nd! three days to Christmas! I don't know about you all..." she gestured around the apartment. "I don't think we're ready!"
Caine massaged his temples slowly.
Darius was in his room, leg hanging off the bed and sheet tangled up around him, snooring openly, apparently having not been woken.
12/9/2010 #4 ReportJoelle emerged from her room in a tank top and shorts, leaving her daughter sleeping in much the same fashion as Darius. The little girl could sleep through a Covenant glassing. She closed the door behind her, approaching the group. "What's going on?"

It's amazing enouph that you came back from the dead, you don't need to give yourself a heart attack worrying about decorations!!!!" she finished yelling at her and went to the kitchen to get a cup of orange juice,"besides, me and Ner went and got the decorations last night. so stop fussing and eat something." she said in a motherly voice.

"His room..." Caine replied flatly. "Where else?"
Cassidy stomped down the hall, turned and almost kicked a door open.
"Darius!" came the female spartans voice from the doorway. "Gte your lazy butt up!"
"Oh wow... I always knew I would wake up to you over me."
Caine could just hear the sly grin in the other Gamma's words.
There was a loud smack and a louder. "Pervert!" before Cassidy stomped back to the living and said. "Gte moving! set stuff up!" she gestured around. "Move it people!"

12/9/2010 #8 ReportJoelle sighed and rubbed her forehead. "Alright, Cassidy, we can spend today decorating for Christmas. But I think we should all have something to eat first, so we have energy." She walked through the group tothe kitchen, muttering, "Geeze, I didn't even know Spartans knew what Christmas was" as she started making coffee.

Why do you even celebrate Christmas anyway? It is pointless. Thirteen said as he leaned against a wall and looked at the apartment that they were in.
"You say that beacue you always get coal."
It's BS and you know it!! The armor yelled as he glared at Gustave. That fat man wouldn't know naughty even if he walked into an adult store!!

Caine sat down on the couch, then watched as Darius left his room, hair messed and red eyes half lidded in a pair of shorts and a loose tank top, sitting next to Caine the Gamma said. "Morning boss man..." turning to face the Beta spartan and show off the bright red handmark on his right cheek.
"Was that little joke worth the cheek?" Caine replied dully.
"Totally..." Darius grinned.

Darius stayed at the couch for fear of Cassidy.
Cassidy was fidgeting in her seat nervously, clearly she was distressed about not making the place Christmas-y in time.

"Did you sleep at all last night?" Caine asked, raising a brow.
"No! I was up pacing!"
12/9/2010 #19 ReportJoelle raised an eyebrow, wondering if Darius realized she was female as well...thn she turned and started making pancakes with Lizzy's help. A few minutes later, she had pancakes and eggs cooking.

12/10/2010 #22 Report"Give me a piece of that chicken Ner!" Gustave ordered the female Elite as he wanted a piece of that fowl and by all the stars in heaven he is going to have a piece. "This isn't funny, I claimed a piece of it."
Thirteen was sitting on a stool, laughing at Gustave as he threatened the Elite that was guarding her meal. I don't think she heard you. He mockingly said as he spun around in his seat as he waited to see what would happen next.

12/10/2010 #24 ReportOh, those sound like fighting words. Thirteen whispered into Gustave's left ear as his visor looked at Ner'kae that held their food from them. You know what must be done.
Almost on cue Gustave tackled Ner'kae on her midsection and knocked her down to the ground. Once they both hit the ground the chicken slid across the ground which the Spartan got off the Elite and crawled for his prize.
12/10/2010 #25 ReportNer'kae front flipped off the floor and onto gustave's back. She then flipped forward and grabbed the chicken and landed in the hall on the other side of the table" mine!!!" she ran down the hall into her room.

"Shut it." Gustave mumbled as he flipped onto his back and looked at the ceiling as he sulked there. "I never get what I want." He said as he crossed his arms and slightly pouted a bit.
Oh I'm sorry, are you a Spartan or a little girl? Thirteen continued to mock him as he was looking at him as he laid down on the ceiling.

Shesh, how about actually chewing your food. Thirteen said in disgust at how the man was eating.
"Shut it!" The Spartan said with his mouth filled with food as he sat on the soft bed with the curtains still closed and the rest of his clothing scattered all ver the floor.
12/10/2010 #29 ReportLizzy giggled at Ner and Gustavee's antics while Joelle transferred the food to plates and set one on the table for everyone. She and her daughter then sat down and began to eat breakfast.
