~Linette~
'And plenty of takers,' I said, grinning. 'I'd have another one of his.'
Vynn-
"You already had one, get back in line," said Catin.
"I've been wondering if I should have one," I said, shrugging.
~Linette~
'Oh, you really should,' I said. 'Children are great!'
Vynn-
"They seem like a lot of work, though," I said. "And I'm really lazy."
~Linette~
'That's why us Clayr have it easy,' I said, grinning. 'There're so many who'd love to help you look after your children.'
Vynn-
"I'll think about it, then," I said. "There are a lot of fine specimens here to choose from."
~Linette~
'Definitely,' I agreed. 'I'm aiming to go back to the Glacier with another one on the go.'
Vynn-
"Oh, so that's why you volunteered to come here," I said, grinning.
~Linette~
'No!' I said in mock-indignation. 'I came here to get higher up on the points scale! And now that I've done that, I can have a different aim.'
Vynn-
"Oh, of course," I said wryly.
Some of the guards and Clayr were starting to get up from their tables, and I sighed. "Back to work."
~Linette~
I sighed. 'Do we have to?' I asked. 'I didn't come here to work!'
Vynn-
"That's part of the deal," I said, getting up from my table. "At least you get to train hot guards in Paperwing flight."
~Linette~
'I keep hoping that the weather will suddenly get hotter, so they start taking their shirts off,' I said with a grin.
Vynn-
"Well, you can always hang out at the practice fields," I said, smirking.
~Linette~
'Oh - speaking of taking shirts off, when are we next trying for the Captain?' I asked.
Vynn-
"Well, can we wait until he goes to court next? Or should we try to track him down?" I asked.
~Linette~
'Does he ever do training sessions?' I asked. 'We could get him after one of them.'
Vynn-
"He occasionally does a few," I said.
"Maybe we should ask him," Catin suggested.
~Linette~
'Or ask someone else,' I said. 'He seems to run away whenever he sees us now.'
Vynn-
I sighed. "You're right. We'd have to ask an officer, though. Or the Chancellor might know."
~Linette~
'How many points would we get for the Chancellor?' I asked suddenly.
Vynn-
"Charter, Linette, he's old!" I said. "You'd probably kill him if you got him into bed."
Vynn-
"Maybe Catin and I can ask one of the Lieutenants," I suggested.
~Linette~
I nodded. 'And I'll ask people in the flying group, to see if they know.'
~Linette~
'Good plan,' I agreed, nodding. 'And then we can hopefully plot out attack.'
Vynn-
Catin and I had to dash up to the battlements to make sure that we weren't late. After about an hour of patrol, I noticed Catin using her charms on Lieutenant Rogar.
~Linette~
I headed out to the West Yard, and was pleased when I was paired with a good-looking young Corporal.
'I don't suppose you know when the Captain does his training sessions, do you?' I asked him, once we'd talked about flying for a bit.
The guard blinked. 'I think he's doing one now, with Lieutenant Asher,' he said.
I nodded and sighed. Damn...
Vynn-
"Any luck?" I asked Catin when I finally managed to pass her on the battlements.
"Tomorrow morning, Lieutenant Rogar is training with him," she whispered. I nodded and smiled. We had the morning off.
